Technique Geeks - Class Planner for Demos

I have been doing a monthly technique geek class for nearly two years now and I have compiled documents with the directions to do 43 techniques. I print the directions out on different colors of card stock and cut them into quarters to make the ring cards.

Each class attendee makes a quarter size card stock sheet with the directions and a sample of the technique as well as a greeting card using the technique.

You will receive the following files:

*Directions for each technique.  You print them on whatever card stock color you choose for that technique

*The document that includes a photo of each technique ring card and the greeting card so you will have a color sample of each technique.

*A document for the cover ring card that you can personalize with your contact information.

$14.95 Technique Geek Files.  I plan to send you the documents shortly after payment is make but please allow 48 hours for the files to be emailed to you.  Thank you!!

Today's post starts a series of projects using the NEW set called For All You DoYou will find it on page 118 of the NEW Catalog.  It is a super cute set and I hope you enjoy the projects I have made with it.

    Forallyoudo

Today's project is a purse made from our Small On Board Book Basics.  You can come make this project at a class this fall.  My Paper Snips were my best friend on this project as all the flowers, stems and the butterfly were stamped and cut out before adhering them to the front of the purse.  The Monogram was done with the Serif Essentials die set and my Big Shot.  I used some of our Patterns Designer Series Papers in So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive Wide Grosgrain Ribbon, Linen Thread and a Circle Brad.

Stampin' Up! Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder meets Stampin' Pastels

Here is a project using another NEW die.  It is called the Elegant Bouquet Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I was cleaning today and picked up the die and all of the sudden it hit me.  This die would look really cool with our Stampin' Pastels!!!  So I stopped what I was doing, you can always clean later, and created this card.

    Elegantbouquetchalk

This was soooooo easy.  I ran my Whisper White layer through the Big Shot with the new folder and added pastels to the raised images.  I used Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Lavender Lace and Pink Passion pastels with a Sponge Dauber.  I created a slot with my Crop-a-dile and added the Melon Mambo Polka Dot Ribbon.  The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and is stamped in Lovely Lilac.

Get out your Pastels and try this!!!

    Technique - Rock & Roll

Join the IN COLOR CLUB and have all the In Color ink pads, markers, packs of card stock and the ribbons by Decmeber for only $29.95 per month.  click HEREfor details.

I hold monthly Technique Geeks classes and this is one technique we have learned.  It is called Rock & Roll and it is super easy and never turns out the same way twice.

This is the greeting card we made in class.  You start by inking your stamp in a light color, in this case, it was Sage Shadow, then you rock & roll the edges of the inked stamp into a darker color, here I used Lovely Lilac.  Stamp your image and see the cool two-tone effect. The main images are from the Baroque Motifs stamp set and the greeting is from the Fresh Cuts set.

    Techrockroll

Here is a photo of the technique card everyone made in class, you can click on it to see it larger.  These cards are kept on a ring so the class attendees can refer back to them at home and remember how to do the techniques.

    Techrockrollring

I have 44 technique cards on my ring, we have completetd these over the past couple of years.  Classes will start up again in the fall, hope to see you there!!!!

I love the 4th of July and all the festivities that go along with it, BBQ's, Fireworks and getting together with friends and family.  We are planning to go out and watch the fireworks tonight and my kids are way too excited!!!  This will be the first year since we have lived here that I am taking my kids to the big fireworks display.

I thought it would be fun to jazz up some muffins and Hershey's Nuggets for this special day.  These were absolutely the easiest things I have done in a long time.  I used the Large Star Punch and the Star Punch to make these stars and the Word Window and Modern Label Punches for the birthday greeting.  I attached the star sets to toothpicks wth Mini Glue Dots.

I have a brief tutorial on making the open stars HERE

    Teenytinywishes4thcupcakes

Here is a close up of the main muffin, I just love these open stars, they look so cool!!!  The birthday greeting from the NEW set called Teeny Tiny Wishes was stamped in Real Red and punched out with the Word Window punch and layered it onto a piece of Brilliant Blue punched out with the NEW Modern Label Punch.

    Teenytinywishes4thcupcake

I then added some fun to the Hershey's Nuggets I had in the cupboard. I wrapped a 1/2" x 3" strip of card stock around the nuggets, added Real Red and Brilliant Blue brads to the centers of the small stars and attached them to the nuggets with Mini Glue Dots.

    Happy Celebrating!!!!

Back to stamping, here is a quilt card

Join the IN COLOR CLUB and have all the In Color ink pads, markers, packs of card stock and the ribbons by Decmeber for only $29.95 per month.  click HEREfor details.

WHEW!!!  The new catalog is live and I am pooped, I have been entering orders all day!!!  Thank goodness, I had some time to stamp last week.  Here is another quilt card, this one uses the NEW Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper.

    Topnotequiltrazzleberry

I punched 2 squares from each sheet of paper in the pack and glued them to a 3 3/4 x 5" piece of Whisper White.  I ran this through my Big Shot with the Top Note die and got this wonderful quilt piece.  I stamped my big flower from the Pretties Kit with Crushed Curry ink and my Polka Dot background stamp and added the large grommet for some interest. I tied a piece of Melon Mambo Polka Dot Ribbon into a knot and added it to the middle with a Mini Glue Dot, notice how I tied it so the polka dots don't show :-)

Super easy and Super cute.  I love quilt cards, you can see another quilt card I made HERE
