Techniques Class!!

I had techniques classes last night and this afternoon, what fun we had!!  If you haven't signed up to take one of my technique classes, you must, we learn some really nifty techniques.  Check out my class calendar link to the left for a list of my upcoming classes.  Here are the two techniques that we did this round.

This is the fossil stone technique, very cool!!  I CASE'd this card from LeeAnn Greff, and it uses the With Gratitude set and the Photo Corner Punch for the detail in the upper left corner.

This one is called split negative and uses the grouping of trees in the Lovely as a Tree set.  I love black, white and red together but I decided to add some Basic Gray and that did the trick.  Add the Sanded background stamp, and this is the perfect card for those hard to stamp for people....MEN!!!  It was inspired by my friend Tammy Fite, thanks Tammy!!!!

Apple Cider Clipboard

Here is another project using the Apple Cider Designer Papers from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  Remember the "THANKFUL" garlands.  I absolutely love these yummy papers and have opened my second package of them.

I covered the 9x9 clipboard with three different patterns of the Apple Cider Papers.  I used our Anywhere Glue Sticks to adhere the paper, the glue sticks are AWESOME!!  I am not a real big fan of glue sticks but these work great!!  Use a Sanding Block to smooth off the edges of the paper.  I added the Chocolate Satin Ribbon and a chipboard leaf from the On Board Chipboard Garland Greetings set that I sponged with Close to Cocoa Ink, both items are in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  A Really Rust button with some Linen Thread and we are done!!  Now to find the perfect picture to display.....

Happy Stampin'!!!

Flip Flop Album

I have been working on this project off and on for about two weeks.  I am just about finished with it so I thought I would post it for you.  It is a flip flop album and as you can see, it just keeps opening!!  I used our Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' Kit and I am so tickled with how it turned out.  The pictures are from Christmas 2006.  Enjoy!!

Flipflopcover_2 #1-This is the album closed

Flipfloptopview_2 #2-This is the top view of the album completely opened.  It is never ending, you just keep opening flap after flap.

Flipflopinsidefrontcover_2 #3-Backside of front cover, man those kids are cute!!!!

Flipflopseconddover#4-The lighting in this photo is pretty bad, the little scallops are Saffron, Celery and Real Red.

Flipflopeasybake_2 #5-These two "doors" open to reveal the next photo.

Flipflop1_2#6-Open the flaps in photo #5 (think French Doors) and you see this.  Note to self: Add journaling

Flipflop2_4 #7-These two flaps will open to the photo below.

Flipflop3_3 #8-Lots of fun stuff in here!!

Flipflop4_3#9-The picture of us having breakfast will flip out to reveal the two "doors" in photo #5.

Flipflop5_3#10-This flap is next to the backside of the front flap.  Sorry if there is any confusion, this project is so much better in person, let me know if you would like to stop by and see it.

Happy Stampin' !!!

Garlands Galore!!

Today was my "THANKFUL" On Board Chipboard class.  I had five gals over to complete their garlands and we had alot of fun.  I took a picture of each completed garland with the exception of Stephanie who had to leave early and Julie who had to referee a volleyball game.  Here are the gals and their completed garlands, Angela, Stephanie and Tara followed my example to the letter (no pun intended here..hahah) and Candy and Donna were non-conformers, just kidding girls :-)

What I did today!!!

I have been stampin' alot today.  I finished my "JOY" garland with some of the remaining chipboard in the On Board Garland Greetings

Joygarland_2 I used the Hologram Highlights Embossing Powder and Encore Gold Ink on the snowflakes and star, they are so sparkly in real life.  The Wide Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon and Gold Elastic Cord string the letters together.  A few Gold Metallic Eyelets set with my Crop-A-Dile and it is done!!  Easy Peasy to create and even easier to put together.  I still have tons of chipboard pieces left so let's see what else I can do with the chipboard!!  Stay tuned. :-)

I also got busy with my new Designer Wrapping Papers.  I purchased the Blizzard and my friend Kay gave me a few feet of the Purely Holiday wrap.  I wrapped a couple of boxes, made a gift bag and used a bit on a greeting card.

The Purely Pomegranate wrapping paper is on the bottom half of the card along with a couple of pieces from our Accents & Elements Hand Selected tin, the Purely Pomegranate Satin Ribbon (this stuff is so gorgeous and smooth) and the River Rock Double Stitched Ribbon finish it off.

I wrapped the box in the River Rock wrapping paper and added the Purely Pomegranate Satin Ribbon.  The tag is a circle of the Purely Pomegranate wrapping paper and a circle of our Brushed Gold card stock made with the Coluzzle.  I got the snowflake out of the On Board Garland Greetings and covered it with gold Encore Ink and embossed it with our Hologram Highlights Embossing Powder.  The Onboard Trimmings chipboard set would also work as it has alot more snowflakes to choose from.

I created the gift bag below using the Blizzard Designer Wrapping Paper.  I cut a 12x12 piece and scored it at 2" on on the bottom and 1/2 on one side, folded it together and adhered the sides with SNAIL.  I added the contrasting color as a belly band and stamped a snowflake in Chocolate Chip ink on Bashful blue card stock from the Snowflake Spot stamp set and punched that out with our Scallop Punch.  I punched two slots with the Rectangle Punch and tied the bag closed with our Wide Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon.Blizzardboxandbag

I wrapped the box with the Bashful Blue roll of wrapping paper and added a paper bow to the top.  You can find the directions for making a paper bow HERE.

Well that is it for today, I will post a few other projects I have completed in the next day or so.

Until then, Happy Stampin"!!!

Jumping on the blog bandwagon!!

Well, I have finally done it, I created a blog.  I wanted a place to show you the current Stampin' Up! specials, my stampin' and scrappin' creations as well as a place to showcase my upcoming stampin' and scrappin' classes with the hopes of shortening my monthly newsletters (I know you want this too...LOL)  So I have decided to start a blog for all of my loyal and wonderful friends and customers.

I plan to update my blog a couple of times a week and when I get the hang of it, I am hoping to make daily posts.  I will have some blog candy prize giveaways for you my faithful readers so stay tuned!!

This cute litte favor is made using the tag corner punch.  I cut a strip of Only Orange card stock to 1 1/2" x 4 1/2".  Score each end at 1 1/2" and punch all the corners off.  Stamp your Booglie Eyes image in Black Staz On on a piece of Whisper White 1 1/2 x 1 1/4 and color in with our Stampin' Write Markers.  I used Lovely Lilac, and Only Orange.  Mount your colored image onto a piece of Green Galore 1 5/8 x 1 3/8 and mount that onto the ends of the Only Orange strip.  Use a couple of glue dots to adhere the Hershey's Nugget (Chocolate with almonds and toffee...yummy!!!) in the tent, fold the whole thing up, punch a 1/8" hole and tie it shut with a piece of ribbon.  Great little treats for kids classmates, friends or co-workers.
