I had forgotten all about these filmstrip cards until Dannie posted one on her blog. While I was at the stampin' & scrappin' weekend a couple of weeks ago, I created mine. I used the Wild About You Stamp set, Twill background stamp (Thank you Rhonda!!!) and the Spiral punch to create this card.

I am sailing out of New York today but I thought I should post a little something for you. :-)
This is another card from my monthly technique class. We used the Heat & Stick Powder on the butterfly image with the lavender glitter in the Fine cosmo Glitter Collection and it is soooooo sparkly in real life. The rest of the card was kind of thrown together at the last minute (read, the night before class). Don't tell the gals who came as I believe they think it takes me a long time to create these projects. {wink}

I was inspired by Jenn to create this card. It uses the Flower Fusion Accents & Elements tin, Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon, Rich Regals and Bold Brights brads. The set is Simply Said and it is one of my favorite sets.

We did the ghosting technique on one of the projects at last weeks technique classes. I love how the card turned out so I thought I would whip up a little tutorial on it.
Start by stamping an image on Glossy White (2 3/4 x 5) card stock with Versamark. I have found that a bold image works best. I used the orange slice from the NEW Tart & Tangy set in the Occasions mini.
Roll your brayer over any color ink pad and start brayering over the card stock, the stamped images will appear. They are subtle as opposed to the emboss resist technique in which you add clear EP to the stamped images. I used Apricot Appeal with my brayer.
Keep adding more color with your brayer until you are happy with it, this is the Ghosting technique. Following is the card making part.
If desired, add some smaller detailed images in a darker color, I used an image from Seeing Spots and stamped it in Pumpkin Pie.
Use the Double Circle Punch or as I like to call it, the Pig Nose, and punch holes to add some ribbon.
I chose the Striped Grosgrain in Pumpkin Pie.
Thread the ribbon through the holes.
Secure the ends to the back of the card stock with Scotch tape, Mini Glue Dots or SNAIL.
Use the 3/4" circle to punch a circle out of a Pumpkin Pie scrap. I also added some Linen Thread to aTempting Turquoise button from the Fresh Favorites I Collection.
Adhere these two together with a Mini Glue Dot.
Add a couple more Mini Glue Dots to the back of this embellishment and place it over the spot where you punched the holes, this makes the ribbon appear gathered.
Punch out a small photo corner from a scrap of Tempting Turquoise.
Layer your Glossy White piece onto a 3 x 5 1/4 piece of Tempting Turquoise and add the photo corner to the top right hand corner.
Adhere this to the front of your card and add the greeting of your choice. I used a greeting from a NEW set called Phrases For A Friend from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

As much as I love the full Carousel Notes, I wanted to be able to use them as a Make & Take project in my monthly workshops. This is what I came up with and all the attendees at my March Stampin' Up! workshops made this card or a variation of it with different papers from the Afternoon Tea Collection and the different colors of the Carousel Notes.
I cut the Carousel Notes into quarters and used the Pick-A-Petal Brass Template to add the dry embossed dots to each scallop on the note. I took a 3x3 piece of the Afternoon Tea paper and used my Coluzzle to round off the top so it would mimic the note.
On this sample, I used the Flannel Plaid background stamp in Soft Sky but after receiving an absolutely gorgeous swap from Rhonda Beadell, I quicky purchased the Twill background and used it at my workshops.

Happy Easter to you!! My kids were so excited this morning, it is so fun to see their little faces light up as they find their Easter goodies.
My good friend and downline Kay, make my kids these adorable little Easter baskets out of card stock and filled them with treats. The kids love them, thanks Kay!!!

My friend (and customer) Kristen sent me these super cute Easter cards that she made. She used several of the Stampin' Up! circle punches and oval punches for the Easter Bunny. She also used the Build-A-Brad on one and a Rhinestone square brad on the other. GREAT job Kristen!!!!

I received the neatest swap from Patty in my Control Freaks group a couple of weeks ago and thought I should make one too!!
This is one of our Super Smooth Whisper White Envelopes. I sealed it shut and trimmed an inch off the end to create a pocket.
I used Simply Said and the small flower from Little Pieces, Summer Picnic Designer Paper for the belly band, and the Boho Blossoms Punch, Rich Regals and Bold Brights brads for the flowers.

I went to a stampin' and scrappin' weekend last week and did get a few things done. I would have done more but I was only able to stay for a few hours.
Here are a couple of super easy cards that I threw together with my Boho Blend Simply Scrappin' Kit and the One of a Kind stamp set.
These card are really the same size, funny what photography can do.
Here are the close-ups of each one. They are opposites as I couldn't decide which one I liked better!! I added Build-A-Brads to the centers of the flower medallions. I used my 1/2" circle punch to punch out the circles of patterned paper that comes in the Boho Blend kit.
Looking at them now, maybe I should have switched the greetings!! Oh well, next time....

I have finally started working on pages for my scrapbook of my upcoming trip on the Stampin' Up! cruise to Bermuda. I can hardly believe that I will be leaving two weeks from today!!!
I am using the Stampin Up! Simply Scrappin' Kit called Summer Days. I just love the bright, fun colors in this kit!! I am planning to incorporate some of the Pumpkin Pie Felt Fusion Flowers and some the NEW Die-cut Blooms from the Occasions mini catalog. I have four layouts done so far and I had better get busy and make some more!!!!
This little caption "lazy summer days" will be perfect for those shots of us laying around on these gorgeous pink sand beaches!!
I added some of our Wild Wasabi and Pumpkin Pie Striped Grosgrain Ribbons to these pages as well as some Real Red brads.
Not much happening on these two pages so I will have to find some really cool pictures for them. :-)
I used a Brass Build-A-Brad to add some dimension to the flower in the bottom right hand corner.
Stay tuned as I will be posting some more when I get them done.
Also, here is a little hint-------you definitely want to hang around my blog while I am gone!!!!

Isn't this the cutest thing!! One of my new downline members, Tara, was telling me about this bookmark card she made. She emailed me a picture of it and I knew I had to post it here. It uses a retired set called Cowboy Kid and the NEW Western Sky Designer Paper.

I hold a monthly Technique Geeks Class and we learn tons of differentones. this month is was bleaching and we made this window card. If you are interested in purchasing my Technique Files, click HERE.
Here is a window card that we made at one of my technique classes. I thought I would put together a brief tutorial on how to make one.
Start by punching four squares out of post-it notes with your 1 1/4 square punch. I had to use two of the 3x3 post-it notes so I would have adhesive on all four squares.
Use the adhesive on the post-it notes to secure the squares to a piece of card stock to form the window. I used a 3x3 piece of card stock.
Use your square punch upside down to line up the post-it notes and punch to remove each one.
Here is the window
For my card, I used Versamark and Black embossing power to stamp and emboss the image of the little girl from the Summer By the Sea stamp set. I then added bleach to my Aquapainter (note: I have dedicated an Aquapainter to bleach only) to remove the color within the embossed area. I cut my Stampin Dimensionals in half to secure the window to my card.
