I am so excited to share our new line with you.....Decor Elements!!!!  A new product for home decorating!!  This new product is made from beautiful, high-quality vinyl and the images can be used to decorate your home, office, daycare, etc.  This easy to apply product can be used on your walls, furniture, mirrors, tiles, glassware, frames, scrapbooks and more!  Our exclusive Stampin' Up! artwork will include words, monograms, phrases and images , some of these images and phrases coordinate with our stamp sets.

 

As a demonstrator, I was able to order some of these in June so they will be displayed in my home and I will also have them to go so you will be able to see and touch them in my classes and at my parties.

This is a shaker card that uses our Green Bead Duos, this was a big hit with the gals!!

This is a copy of the one shown in the Spring-Summer Catalog, but I used Groovy Guava, Old Olive and Perfect Plum.

Look what came by my house yesterday!!

I was sitting in m living room cutting ALOT of paper for my Stationery Kits and all of the sudden, I noticed something moving outside my window.

WOW, look what it was!!!

Buffalo Bill Days is going on this weekend here in Sheridan, Wyoming and this lot of horses is carrying cowboys, indians, the cavalry down to the parade.  I quickly called the kiddos to come watch!

About an hour later, they came back this same way.

I will share the final two projects we did at my Pockets & Pieces class tomorrow as well as a couple of photos of the gals working. :-)

More with my Decor Elements

We remodeled our bathroom over a year ago and I have been waiting for just the right thing to put in there, well, I have found it!!  My second order arrived today.  These chocolate Flourishes from the NEW Stampin' Up! Decor Elements product line are perfect.  I also purchased the Manhattan Flowers to put up in my kitchen, Nina, I know you will be proud of me when I get them up, it has only been 2 1/2 years since the kitchen remodel!!!!!

 

Here are the two that I put on one of my stampin' cupboards.  I chose the "Life is Good" sentiment and the Lollipop Flowers.  Sorry about the picture, the lighting at this time of night (midnight!!!!) is pretty poor in here.  I will retake it in the morning. :-)

Creating a scalloped edge with your corner rounder

This is a very brief tutorial that I took from one of my monthly card kit tutorials.  It shows you how to create a scalloped edge using or corner rounder.

 

My Décor Elements are here!!!

I am sooooo excited as my first order of Décor Elements is here, this, of course means that I had to place a second order!!!  WOO HOO!!!!!  I ordered a number of things but the Baroque Medallions are the first item I have played with.

I made this for my mom and it will look AWESOME in her bedroom!!

I used the Ginormous Pieces Chipboard set to make this framed wall decoration.  I applied one of the White Baroque Medallions to a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  I covered the large square scallop chipboard piece with Apricot Appeal card stock, trimmed off the excess with my hobby blade and then sanded it smooth with my sanding block.  I stamped the Baroque Flourish in the corner in Apricot Appeal ink.   The flowers are from the Pretties Kit and I applied Apricot Appeal ink to the larger one and attached the two flowers to the center with a Fire Circle Rhinestone Brad.  Add a couple of pieces of Pumpkin Pie and Apricot Appeal Grosgrain Ribbon so she can hang it on her wall.   LOVE IT!!!!!

Here is a mini pizza box I made after seeing all the cute ones out there.

  

It uses the same supplies as the triangle box shown in this post with the addition of an image from another retiring set called Be Happy

I added a stamp set called Dilly Dally and plan to give it to special friend of mine. :-)

Another triangle box!

Here is another triangle box I made getting ready for a party yesterday.  You can find my tutorial for this box HERE

I used the retiring set called Polka Dots and Petals with the matching Petals wheel. I inked the wheel with the Soft Sky pad and ran it over my Soft Sky cardstock.  I then used the outline images in the stamp set to add the detail in Blue Bayou.   I did use a Garden Green marker for the flower stem and the word "joy" which is a part of a phrase in the coordinating set called Polka Dots and Paisley.  I am going to miss the In colors. :-)  Add a Not Quite Navy brad and some double stitched ribbon and it's ready to give away.  I have a Double stitched Ribbon share going on HERE

Some retiring Stampin' Up! samples

Here are some samples from my basket using retiring stamp sets.  I did not create all of these, some were received in swaps.

This is made with the retiring set called Blossoms Abound.  I received this in a swap a couple of years ago.  It uses Certainly Celery and Lovely Lilac.

I received Touch of Nature card in a swap from Adrian and never used it as it is too pretty to give away!!!  She used Almost Amethyst, Mellow Moss and Apricot Appeal.

 

These cards use the Office Accoutrement set, the one on the right was created by me and is like a file folder.

Stationery set

This Stationery Box opens to reveal everything you will need to send or give greeting cards, note cards and gifts.  This will make a wonderful gift for someone and I am offering a class on this on July 19th from 1-4 pm at the Old Highland Park School in Sheridan, Wyoming. 

My project uses the Circle of Friendship stamp set that is retiring in August.

  

 

Upcoming Pockets & Pieces Class

Since I have a class using the Pockets & Pieces Office Accents set on Friday, June 27th, I figured I had better get mine out today and started creating....what fun I had!!!!!!!!!  I have to admit, I was a little intimidated when I looked at all those pieces but not anymore. :-)

 

This is a gift card holder but it opens differently than you might think.  I love this look with the ribbon tied to two photo hangers holding the flap closed but it is not really functional.  When you loosen the knot to get the gift card out, you can never get the ribbon tied again because it is too short.  Well, I took care of that:

 

I added little magnets, one on the main part of the holder and the other one on the main image.  This way, it can be opened and closed tons of times but the cute ribbon "closure" stays neat.

Here is the inside:

I cut off the little flap on the right side of the fold up piece so the gift card will fit.  If you glue it down, it is just a bit too short and the gift card will not fit.

In Color Ribbon Share-ends today!!!!!

The In Colors will be retiring at the end of the Spring-Summer Catalog so I thought it would be a GREAT idea to offer a ribbon share with the Double Stitched Ribbons in the In Colors. 

This is a GREAT way to get three yards of each color without having to purchase the entire roll.  You will receive three yards of each of the six colors for only $13.00 including the shipping to you.  US orders only please.

I will take orders for the ribbon through Monday, June 30th and then the ribbon order will be placed.  I anticipate shipping out the ribbons sometime the week of July 7th.

Fresh Cuts-Two Tone Brayer

This was one of the cards that we made in Techniques Class today.  It was CASE'd from my cyber buddy Caroline.  We used the Fresh Cuts SNEAK PEAK stamp set that will be available in the new catalog.  You can get it NOW through June 30th, see this post for details.

You take two coordinating open ink pads and place them end to end.  Roll your brayer over both colors at once getting complete coverage...HINT...don't just roll the brayer back and forth over the ink pads as this will only ink half of the brayer.  Then roll the color onto Glossy White card stock, go over it numerous times to get the coverage you want.  I also suggest rolling in a "Y" formation to blend the middle.

Then we stamped the large image from the Fresh Cuts stamp set in Black StazOn, the background was done in Versamark, there is paper piercing across the top and we used some Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware to finish it off.  Side Note, the three Hodgepodge Hardware finishes in the big catalog will be retiring this year so if you have had your eye on it, get it now!!!
