Halloween Swaps

Here are a couple of cards that I received in the swap I did at Founder's Circle.  The theme was Holiday and I took that to mean Christmas.  I was so glad that some other gals thought of Halloween!!

 

I love the simplicity of this card.  Notice the row of embossed circles across the top.  They were done with the Crop-Dile.

   

I think this card was done using the baby wipe technique with a brayer.  Notice the button embellishment in the top right corner?  It was made with the Buttons die and the Big Shot!!

Crank out those Christmas Cards!!

Friday was the first of three Crank out your Christmas Card sessions.  There were eight stampers here and they each made 16 Christmas cards.

This is a CASE of one done by Meg.  I added the Chunky glitter across the top and the snowflakes over the trees.  The little tab on the side pulls out and the truck moves across the card.  I love this!!!

 

I received this card in a swap at Founder's Circle but I added the Scallop Edge and some glitter on the tree. 

The gals had fun and so did I!!!

I am looking forward to the next round on Friday, November 7th!!!

Stamp-A-Stack pictures from Saturday & kits for sale

Here are pictures of the cards from my World Card Making Stamp-A-Stack last Saturday.  The gals made three of each card.

 

This uses the adorable "A Flower for all Seasons" set and the Autumn Vine paper from the Holiday Mini

 

We used "With Gratitude" on this one.  Vellum is the top piece with the greeting stamped on it.

 

I know I copied this from someone but I have no idea who.  It uses the "Upsy Daisy" stamp set, the Riding Hood Red Patterns Designer Series Papers, the Top Note die and some Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon.

 

This one was CASE'd from Robin, a gal I met at Founder's Circle.  I added the scallop edge and the dots with the white gel pen.  It uses the "Big Bold Birthday" set that is on sale this month.  I love the NEW striped grosgrain ribbons in the NEW colors!!!

Big on Christmas

I am working on my cards for technique class this week and here are a couple using the dry embossing on vellum technique.

 

I really wanted to use this mitten paper from the Frosty Day pack in the Holiday Mini but just couldn't get the right look.  So I tried again......

 

I thought this paper from the Frosty Day pack worked better as it was a little more colorful and I needed more color with this card.  Even though this one didn't make the cut either, I really like it!!!!

Some stamp-a-stack samples

I have a stamp-a-stack today in Sheridan, Wyoming and here are a couple of the cards we are making.

 

This card uses a set called A Flower for all Seasons.  Stamp the image in Basic Brown and color using Blender Pens and Classic Ink.  The paper strips are from the new Autumn Vine Designer Paper Pack seen on page 7 in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

 

This card uses the Top Note Die and the Big Shot Machine.  Sponge Close to Cocoa ink around the Top Note and stamp the image in Riding Hood Red.  Place 1/2" strips of Riding Hood Red patterns Designer Series Paper under the Top Note.  Finish it off with a Jumbo Eyelet and some Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon.

I CASE'd myself!!

I came up with THIS CARD for my Big Shot Open House last month and then thought it would be cool using other papers so here are a couple more using basically the same layout.  I tweaked it a bit as Ann made one I really liked.

 

 

I like to make cards without greetings so that when I need a card, I can just stamp the appropriate greeting and pop it in the mail.

Spooky Spider Decor Elements

I finally ordered this little gem and I love it!!!  I ordered the small one to put on my Candy Corn Jar.  The jar measures about 7 1/2 x 6 and I got it at Walmart.

 

and I ordered the medium one for my front storm door.  Looking outside, it is a beautiful Fall day!!!  Sorry about the photo, the lighting makes his legs look a little wonky :-)
