Technique Geeks - Frosted Embossing Folder

This was the second project that we made at a recent Technique Geeks Class.

We used the Petals A Plenty Impressions Folder that is still available from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  Click HERE to view the other items that are still available.  

The main image is from the set called A Flower For All Seasons that you can earn FREE with a $50 order.  We stamped it in Basic Brown and colored it in with Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Close to Cocoa Stampin' Write Markers.  The image was punched out with the 1 3/4 Circle Punch and the mat was made with the 2" circle on the Circles #2 Big Shot die.

The border was done with the Eyelet Border Punch and the Designer Series Paper comes from the Welcome Neighbor pad that is also available as a choice with your $50 order.  I finished it off with a bit of Certainly Celery Wide Grosgrain Ribbon.

Extra Large Fancy Flower Punch

This was a make & take from a recent Stampin' Up! event.  I modified it a bit and added colored circles to the top portion with various colors of ink and my 1 1/4 Circle Punch.

 

I used the Delicate Dots Jumbo Wheel in Bashful Blue ink across the middle of the card.  The small flower image in the With All My Heart set was stamped in Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo and Bashful Blue and then punched out with the 1 1/4 Circle Punch and adhered to the top of the panel.  I did purposely hang them off the edge and trim them with my Paper Snips for a random look.

The large flower was stamped in Melon Mambo ink on Melon Mambo card stock and punched out with the super cool NEW Extra Large Fancy Flower punch from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  There is a Pretty in Pink Epoxy Brad in the center of the flower that is hanging from the Bashful Blue Striped Grosgrain ribbon with Linen Thread.  The stamped greeting is from the Thank You Kindly set that you can choose for FREE when you place a $50 during Sale-a-bration.

Herringbone with Noveau Chic Designer Series Paper

This is one of the cards we made at a recent Technique Geeks class.  We used the Noveau Chic Designer Series Paper.  If you haven't purchased this paper yet, you must, the patterns and colors are AWESOME!!

The colors are Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Basic Gray and Sage Shadow.  The stamped image is from the Priceless stamp set.

Make & Takes for a Fundraiser

This is one of the projects that you will be making when you attend the Fundraiser to send the kids to Washington DC this Sunday afternoon from 2-4 in the cafeteria of the Holy Name School here is Sheridan.  I will be donating 20% of the sales from this event to the fund so come out and shop, shop, shop, every order will help get these kids to Washington DC!!!!

Medallion resist with Noveau Chic

How is this for cool!!!  This simple resist technique combines Heat Embossing with Designer Series Paper to create a WOW project that packs a real punch. :-)

I inked my Medallion Background Stamp in Versamark and stamped in onto a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Noveau Chic pack.  I poured Clear Embossing Powder over the stamped image and set it with my Heat Tool.  Then, I rolled my brayer in Basic Gray Classic Ink and brayered over the whole piece of DSP and wiped the embossed image with a paper towel.  The embossed image resisted the ink so the fabulous design on the Noveau Chic paper shows through, pretty neat!! I finished it off with some of our yummy Organdy Ribbon and a greeting from Whimsical Words which you can earn FREE during Sale-a-bration with your $50 order. My colors are Sage Shadow, Basic Gray and Whisper White.  Thanks to Madelline reminding me of this cool technique and Mary for the layout. :-)
  
  
  

Workshop Make & Take card

This is a card that we did in a few of my workshops this month.  I love the color combination, so bright and springy!!

The Bashful Blue layer was run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dot Impressions Folder.  We stamped the large flower image in the With All My Heart set in Melon Mambo ink onto Melon Mambo card stock.  It was then punched out with the Extra Large Fancy Flower punch in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The middle is Pretty in Pink ink stamped on Whisper White card stock and I added a small blue Ice Circle Rhinestone to the middle.  The Bashful Blue Grosgrain ribbon is wrapped around and adhererd to the back.  The greeting is stamped in Old Olive.

Lookie, lookie, you can turn this card to the vertical position you get a flower complete with stem and leaves.  Thanks to Vicki to pointing this out to me at her workshop on Friday night. :-)

For All You Do with Cottage Wall

This was one of the cards we made at my recent card class.  It uses the For All You Do stamp set.

The Certainly Celery panel was run through the Big Shot using the Elegant Bouquet Impressions Folder.  The circle of Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper was also run through the Big Shot with the Circles #2 die.  We stamped the images in Certainly Celery, Rich Razzleberry and Orchid Opulence.  There is also a Clear Rhinestone Brad in the center of the largest flower.

Scallop Trim Border and Scallop Trim Corner Cards

Here are the close up views of the cards in yesterdays post.  The video showing how to use the Stampin Up! ScallopTrim Corner and Scallop Trim Border punches can be seen HERE.

All four cards use the stamp set Thank You Kindly and the Welcome Neighbor Paper Pack.  Choose one of these items FREE with each $50 you order during Sale-a-bration.  I used a small rectangle of the paper for the focal point and matted it onto a layer about 1/4" larger.

 
Kraft, Bermuda Bay and Rose Red card stock and Kraft Taffeta Ribbon with the greeting being stamped in Chocolate Chip.

 
Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Bermuda Bay card stocks with the reverse side of the Bermuda Bay Polka Dot Ribbon and the greeting is stamped in Crushed Curry.

Hi all, sorry I have been absent for a few days, I was out of town attending the funeral of my husband's grandmother and in bed sick all day yesterday.  I feel a bit better today. :-)

SAB - Good Neighbors Card

Here is the first card I made with the Good Neighbors Sale-a-bration set.  I also used the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder.

I started with a Chocolate Chip base and added a layer of Kraft that was partially run through the Impressions Folder.  The houses were stamped in Real Red, Regal Rose and Chocolate Chip.  I added a row of tiny hearts with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch.  The Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon is held in place with a Pretty in Pink Epoxy Brad.

My greeting is from a NEW set called Well Scripted that is in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

Sending Love Candy Bar Wraps

ETA: Thanks to Mary Jo for bringing to my attention that I did not say what's inside!!!  It is a full size Kit Kat Candy Bar. :-)  Thanks Mary Jo!!!

I received one of these from my friend Sandy a couple of years ago.  They are super easy to make and use a 6x6 piece of Designer Series Paper.  I am using the Sending Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Why is it Specialty Paper?  It has glittered accents all over one side of each of the twlelve sheets in the package.  It is soooo sparkly in real life, you need this paper!!!

 
You take your 6x6 piece of Designer Series Paper and lay Sticky Strip along the edge of three sides.  Fold it over and seal it and then seal the ends.  Run each end through the Crimper and embellish as desired.  I used some of our fabulicious NEW Satin Ribbon.  The stamped images come from the Tiny Tags and With All My Heart stamp sets and are punched out with the Medium Jewelry and Extra Large Fancy Flower punches.   The treat on the bottom has a Real Red Corduroy Button and a Chocolate Chip Epoxy Brad in the center of the flower.

Mini Valentine

This is a 3" x 9" strip of card stock scored at 3" and 6".  I punched a Full Heart out of the middle panel and added a Full Heart punched from the Sending Love Designer Series Paper to the window.  The finished size is 3  x 3

The three hearts on the front were punched with the Heart to Heart punch and then run through the Big Shot with the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit.  I added a Chocolate Chip Epoxy Brad for some interest.  The flourish was stamped in Real Red and is from the Simple Friendship set.

 
Here is a look at the inside.  I used the Heart to Heart and Small Heart punches and the greeting from Fundamental Phrases is stamped in Chocolate Chip.

Valentine Envelope Pull Out Cards

These cards are so cool.  I used one of our Medium Enveloes for the pouch and then added a pull out card.

The first one uses a Whisper White Envelope.  I sealed it shut and randomly stamped images from A Happy Heart and Love You Much in Pretty in Pink and Real Red.  I then cut off 1 1/2" and ran the large part through the Crimper with the opening to the side to make it a bit smaller so it would fit into the top.  The Real Red layer of my insert is 4x4 and the Whisper White mat is 3 3/4 x 3 3/4

The embellishments are a Round Tab punchout for the pull tab, Small Heart Punch with a tiny rhinestone from the Eggcellent Eggs Kit, Scalloped Heart of Hearts, Real Red Epoxy Brads, Red Satin Ribbon, Pinking Hearts Border Punch and the Jackpot Designer Series Paper.

 

This one uses a Very Vanilla Meduim Envelope with the same dimensions and stamp sets.  The embellishments are the Round Tab Punch, Small Heart Punch, Gold Brads, Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit, 5/16 Brads, Real Red Satin Ribbon and the Sending Love Designer Series Paper.
