My Founder's Circle Swap

Join Stampin' Up! in October and get a FREE Big Shot Machine or your choice of $100 in merchandise, click HERE to join now!!

This is the swap I made for my recent Founder's Circle Trip.  I decided to make two different colors as I needed some variety.

Myfriendfc

I stamped the leafy image from My Friend in Black StazOn onto Glossy White card stock.  It went throught the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and resembles plastic.  Pretty cool!!

I added a strip of the 1 1/4 Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (get your share of this ribbon) over the top and my greeting is punched with the Jewelry Tag Punch and layered on the stocking top from the Stocking Builder Punch and then onto two of the muffin cups from the Cupcake Builder Punch.  It is a pretty easy card to make if you are making one but it took a bit of time to crank out 125 of these babies!!

Founder's Circle - Day 4

Today is my last day at Founder's.  I will be leaving at the crack of dawn (sorry Dawn!!) Sunday morning.  I had the best time and this was by far the best Founder's yet!!!

I had a relaxing morning, I ate breakfast and then went to the mall with Jane.  She found some super cute clothes to wear to the Main Event tonight and she looked HOT!!!

Jane

We checked out the Gathering Place and found the treat of the day!!

Tartboard
Tarts
We chatted most of the afternon until it was time to get ready for the suprise event.  We boarded the buses and headed out.  We arrived at the Coral Canyon Golf Course and I was instantly afraid!  I don't golf, I don't thnk I have ever even touched a golf club.  Thankfully, we didn't really have to golf so that was a relief.  We got into golf carts with our team members and went out to "play" our nine holes.

Carts
Cartcindy

Gettinstarted

We had to stop at nine holes and there was a golfing or stamping challenge at each one.  The first was the Marshmallow Drive and we had to drive a marshmallow as far as we could.

1

Here I am getting ready to drive that sucker, unfortunately with my Frozen Shoulders, I had to use a pinch golfer and Mary stepped in for me.

Medriving

Hole #2 was Stampin' Trivia, we had to answer questions about the company one of which was how much rubber does Stampin' Up! use in a year.  We thought we were donig really good and at the end of the 18 questions, we got ZERO right, that's right ZERO!!!  They were hard questions. :-)

2

Hole #3 was a challenge, a member of our team had to eat a HUGE marshmallow.  Mary offered to do ths challenge before she knew what it was, after she saw the marshmallow, I thought she was gonna pass out.  Since she had pinched golfed for me, I thought it was only fair to return the favor.  We had to eat the marshmallow as fast as we could and I wolfed that thing down in 30 seconds!!!

3

Marshmallow
Hole #4 was another stamping challenge.  A member of our team had to stamp images in squares as fast as she could.  We chose Laurie for this task and she rocked it!!

4

Faststamping
Hole #5 was Hit it to Win it.  We had to putt a golf ball and hit Stampin' Up! products.  If we hit it we won it and if we could do it in one shot our team got 10 points.  It took me two tries to win the Winter Wishes Stitched Felt so our team did NOT get 10 points from me!!

5

Hitittowinit
Sara
Hole #6 was the Hole in One.  We had to put a ball and if we got it in the hole in one shot we got 100 points.  I did not get a hole in one but Cindy did...WOO HOO!!!

 6

Cindyholeinone
At Hole #7 we had to guess the number of stamps in the vase.  There were 118 in the vase and we guessed 144.

7
Howmany

Hole #8 was Blind Stampin'.  Allana offerd to do this task and Christina gave the instructions.  It was hilarious!!  When we were done with this, Lyssa graciously took a picture of our group up on the rock.

8
Blindstamping

Grouprock

The final hole was the Marshmallow Relay.  Shelli demonstrated what we had to do.  We had to put a marshmallow on a golf club and run around the flag without dropping it.  If we dropped it, we had to pick it up and keep going.  This was a speed race and I think we did pretty good!

9
Mallworelay
After we finished all nine holes, we headed back to the clubhouse to find our table.  We had a wonderful buffet dinner and then the prizes were given out.  There were 17 teams and we took 2nd place!!!  We were so exctied to receive the Christmas Lane Simply Scrappin' Kit.  Look for a scrapbook class coming soon!!

When we returned to the hotel, we found our last pillow gift.  It was packaged in our Blossom Box cut with the Big Shot.  Inside was a beautiful fob made from our Simply Adorned Baubles - Clear Crystal - Pink Crystal, Vanilla Pearl and our Trinket Crowns.

Every Little Bit Paperclip Bookmarks

Everylittlebitbookmarks

I just love the Every Little Bit stamp set.  It has 28 tiny images that are perfect for creating these scallop accents.  You can use these accents on cards, scrapbook pages, as magnets or as bookmarks like I did here.

I stamped the images on various colors of card stock and punched them out with the 1 1/4 Circle Punch and layered them on the 1 3/8 Circle Punch and 1 3/4 Scallop Circle Punch.

I attached them to the jumbo paper clips I had in my stash to create bookmarks.  Too much fun!!

Founder's Circle 2011 - Day 3

I went on the tour to the Stampin' Up! manufacturing plant in Kanab, Utah and we had a great time!!  We rode a bus for a couple of hours did some Q & A with Shelli and Sara and ate a few snacks.

When we arrived the Kanab employees were lining the parking lot with signs welcoming us.  It was soooo cool!!

Greeting The first thing I had to do when we got to Kanab was use the restroom.  Funny, they had changed the men's into a women's for us.

Bathroom
Then we got to tour the building and see how the stamps are made.  We could not take pics of that but we got to die cut a stamp set and put some sets together.  We all noticed that the set we were putting together wasn't one we had seen before and at the end we got to keep one!!!  WOO HOO, I love FREE stamps.

We then went up to Shelli's apartment and looked around.  It looked the same as it did when I was there four years ago but this time I got a pic with Shelli.

Shelli
Kelly was amazed at the HUGE kitchen and said that if she had a kitchen like this in her home, she would cook all the time....hint, hint Steve!!

Here I am in one of the beautiful bedrooms.

Then it was out to the rock in front of the manufacturing plant so we could have our pictures taken.  Here we are, the Four Musketeers.

Fourontherock

We then went to the Jacob Hamblin rubber park.  All the excess rubber that comes off the molds is chopped up and donated to various organizations including the city park.  We had a yummy lunch served in these adorable baskets that we got to keep.

Lunches

Time for photos at the park.

We then went souvenir shopping at Denny's Wigwam and headed back to St. George.  We played some bingo on the bus but I was so tired that I had to take a nap.  Apparently alot of us were falling asleep so they just gave out the prizes!

The night before we had received this gift on our beds and it was an invitation to attend the Little Mermaid at Tuacahn.  Tuachan is an outdoor theatre set against the beautiful red rocks of Southern Utah.  Shelli told us that only other venue that has been granted permission to reproduce the Little Mermaid is Broadway so this was a real treat.  It was absolutely wonderful and we had a great time!!

Watercolored Lovely as a Tree

LovelyasatreeWCC

This was one of the cards we made at a recent monthly card class called It's Raining Men.  It uses the Lovely as a Tree set with our Watercolor Wonder Crayons.  We spritzed the stamp with Stampin' Mist and then added the color to the leaves of the tree with various colors from the Regals Watercolor Wonder Crayons, spritzed it again and stamped it onto a piece of Confetti Cream card stock.  We then cleaned the stamp and used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to over stamp the image again in Chocolate Chip.

The pennant strip was done by stamping the Solid Stripes ala'carte stamp in Versamark on a strip of Riding Hood Red and then snipping the end off with the Postage Stamp Punch.

You can order any of these supplies in my Online Store any time of the day!!

I hold a my monthly card class on the first Thursday of every month in my Stampin' Studio in Sheridan, Wyoming.  The cost is $12.50 or a $25 order placed that day.

My next class will be Thursday, October 6th at 6:00pm.  Please let me know if you would like to come.

September 2011 Control Freaks Blog Tour - Fall Into Step

CFwelcome

Welcome to the September 2011 Tour de Freaks Blog Hop! We are so excited to have you join us today.

This month we are featuring Fall Into Step -- Autumn, Halloween and Thanksgiving Ideas.  I decided to focus on Halloween as I love creating Halloween cards and 3-D projects.

Our tour is nice and short and features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers. You may have just come from my friend Deb Currier's Blog, you may be one of my blog stalkers or you may have just stumbled here…however you got here, you’ll be very glad you did!  Be sure to take the whole tour!  Note:  If you are arriving here on the 19th, please note that not all links may be working yet.  The tour officially begins on the 20th.

Wickedcoolmarkerswirl

My card was alot of fun to make!! I used one of my favorite Halloween sets, Wicked Cool, and inked the stamps with my Stampin' Write Markers.  The zigzag trim is the edge of the Pinking Hearts Border Punch and the Swirls & Scribbles Sizzlit Die for the Big Shot was used to add some fun to the blank space.  The yummy Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon was tied around the border strip.

Petitepockethalloweengumin My second project is a treat holder made from the Petite Pocket Bigz XL Die.  I used the same stamp set and stamped the spider webs in Pumpkin Pie.  The Belly Band also serves as a closure for the pocket as it slides up and down the pocket.  It is made with the NEW Pick Your Poison Designer Series Paper.  A small circle from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and a Neutrals Glimmer Brad add some interest to the side.

The Spooky greeting was also stamped in Pumpkin Pie, punched out with the Large Oval and layered on a Basic Black Scallop Oval.  I attached the spooky greeting to the Belly Band with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Petitepockethalloweengumout
Slide the Belly Band down and open the flap to reveal the treat.  A slim package of gum or a flat candy bar will fit in the pocket perfectly.  I attached it to some cardstock and slipped some Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon around it so it would be easy to pull out of the pocket.

That does it for me, your next stop is my super talented friend Jan Tinklenberg and I am sure you will love what she has to share.

CFnextblog

Thanks for visiting!!!!

Perfect Pennant Halloween Treat

I'm back from my trip to Founder's Circle and need to go through my photos to get some posted for you. We had so much fun and I loved chattin' with my demo friends. Come back to see some of the gifts we received and some of the fun we had. While you wait, I will share a fun project with you.

PerfectpennantshalloweencupI had a brainstorm and thought our Circle Treat Cups might fit in the largest pennant on the Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die and I was right!!!  These will make the niftiest treats for anyone.

I stamped the bat from Every Little Bit in Elegant Eggplant onto Wisteria Wonder card stock, cut it out and added it to the front of the cup.

Perfectpennantshalloweencuptin The Pinking Hearts Border Punch added a fun Basic Black trim to the edge and I finished it off with a snippet our Elegant Eggplant Scallop Dots Ribbon.

The pennant was placed on a small dowel and placed in a super cute bucket I had here.  Wouldn't these look cute as a centerpiece on a table, you could make the dowels different sizes!!!

Be a Big Shot At Home - Round 3 Starts in November

This was one of the Round 2 projects for my Be a Big Shot at Home Class participants. They received all the supplies to create this card in the comfort of their home including the cork leaf.

Gentlyfallingcard

The background is done with the Netting background stamp on Crumb Cake card stock.  I am in love with this background stamp and find myself using it on lots of projects.

Clear Block C was used with Crumb Cake ink on the Confetti Cream card stock and the images from Gently Falling were added.  The outline leaf stamps are done in Old Olive and Cajun Craze with the bold images stamped off once before putting the stamp on the paper.

Corkpile
I cut the leaves from the Leaves #2 Originals Die and added some Early Espresso ink to the edges with a sponge duaber.  The smaller background piece is Early Espresso run through the Big Shot with the Houndstooth Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, torn all the way around and also sponged with the ink and a dauber.

Bigshotathome-002 The next round of Be a Big Shot At Home starts November 15th.  Anyone who signs up by September 15th will receive a BONUS project in their first kit. Download Nov2011Class

Here is another Halloween card I made last weekend.  It also uses the Jack of All Trades set.

Jackofalltradeshatgratefulgreet

Gratefulgreetings This time, I used the witches hat on my pumpkin buddy.  I masked the hat before I stamped his body and added a cut out star that is popped up on a Stampin' Dimensional.  The sentiment is from the Grateful Greetings set which works really well with the Jack of All Trades set.

I attached the multicolored the tag with a Pumpkin Pie Glitter Brad, love the bling!!!  Speaking of bling, I colored one of our Basic Rhinestones with a Black Sharpie and added it to the star on his hat.

The Paper Piercing Tool and Mat Pack make quick and easy work of adding a pierced border around the main image.

Jack of All Trades

Here is the first of the items I created this past weekend.  I tried to get it posted yesterday for you but I was in alot of pain with my shoulders and just couldn't sit here and type it up.  Sorry about that, but here it is!!

Jackofalltradesstaple
Jackofallttrades I pulled out my New Jack of All Trades set and got to work.  I have been wanting a pumpkin set for a long time and this one is just the ticket.  I paired it with the Grateful Greetings set as I thought the face went well with the greeting.

A tiny piece punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch really sets off the Lucky Limeade strip on the main image.  I finished the main image with a little snippet of Basic Black attached with the staple.  The 1/8 Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon pulls everything together.  Pretty quick and easy.
