December 2012 Control Freaks Blog Tour - Winter Fun!

CFwelcome

Welcome to the December 2012 Tour de Freaks Blog Hop! We are so excited to have you join us today.

This month we are showing off some of our Wintery Fun Creations Our tour is nice and short and features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers. You may have just come from Yvette Ashe's Blog, you may be one of my blog stalkers or you may have just stumbled here…however you got here, you’ll be very glad you did!  Be sure to take the whole tour!  Note:  If you are arriving here on the 19th, please note that not all links may be working yet.  The tour officially begins this month on the 20th.

When I think of Winter, I think of Christmas and snow but I also think of New Year's Eve.  I was the recipient of a wonderful bottle of wine last year and it had a nifty tag on it.  I knew I could do better than a store bought tag so here it is!

I used the New Years Single Stamp (Single Stamps are only available through January 2nd) and embossed it on Basic Black card stock with Gold Embossing Powder and Versamark.  I cut it out with one of the Labels Collection Framelits and added it to a 2 x 8 strip of Soft Suede card stock.  I scored it at 2" and punched a hole in it with the 1 1/4 Circle Punch so it would go around the neck of the bottle.  I stamped the strip in Soft Suede with one of the snowflakes from the Snowflake Soiree stamp set in the Holiday Catalog.  The Vintage Brad at the bottom adds some dimension.  Great way to jazz up that bottle of spirits or in this case Sparkling Cider. :-)

My next project is another recipe for my local swap group.  I always create my recipes in My Digital Studio as I love the ease of designing it, printing multiple copies from my computer and adhering it to a coordinating 4x6 piece of card stock.

This recipe comes from my friend Vesta and I make it as dessert for Christmas each year.  It is a big hit and even the kids love it!

I used the Winter Wonders Digital Kit with MDS2 to create this recipe.

Download includes:
* 15-piece SVG stamp brush set
* 10 Designer Series Papers
* 19 embellishments
Coordinating colors: Going Gray, Island Indigo, Night of Navy, Pool Party, Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise

It was so easy.  Notice the scallop on the front?  It is one of the digital embellishments that comes with this kit. I printed a sheet of them and punched them out with my 1 3/4 Scallop Circle Punch.  The embellishment imported into my project as a 1 3/4 Scallop Circle Punch so it punched out perfectly!

Leave me a comment on this post and I will send two of you your own Russian Creme Recipe Cards.  Comments will be accepted through December 23rd, 2012.

That does it for me, your next stop is the blog of Robin Spinner and I know you will love what she has to share.
