This is a treat pouch that I made as a prototype for one we are making in my Chicks & Chocolate Valentine Camp later this month. I got my colors off the Color Coach. The adorable little gnome girl from the new Gnome Sweet Gnome set was stamped in Jet Black Staz On and colored in using Stampin' Write Markers and a Blender Pen. I cut her out with one of the NEW Labels Collection Framelits dies and added the Pear Pizzazz layer with a larger Framelit. The small heart she is carrying is a greeting from the P.S. I Love You stamp set cut out with the smallest framelit in the Hearts Framelits Collection.
The pouch is a sheet of Wisteria Wonder card stock cut in half the long way making it 4 1/4 x 11. I placed it on my Simply Scored Tool horizontally and scored it at 4 1/2, 5 1/2 and 6 1/2. I used mountain and valley folds to create a pouch.
I then ran it through the Big Shot using the smaller sized Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders to create the heart pattern near the bottom edge of the pouch. A Small Cello Bag of candy was stapled inside.
The topper measures 3 x 4 1/2 and I ran it through the Striped Textured Impressions Embossing Folder before folding it in half and securing it to the pouch with a couple of Small Silver Brads. You can get the Stripes folder FREE during Sale-a-bration which starts on January 24th!!

This was a club project back in November and I forgot to post it. They are so easy to make. You need a half sheet of card stock (5 1/2 x 8 1/2). Score it with the Simply Scored Tool at 3", 6", 6 3/4", and 7 1/2". Fold as shown and secure with Multipurpose Adhesive.
Adhere your calendar to some coordinating Designer Series Paper and add a bow as an embellishment. You can find the instructions for the bow by clicking Download Easypeasybow.

I posted this card a few weeks ago and wanted to let you know how I did the frosting on the cupcake.
The Technique is called Faux Frosting and here is how you do it.
*Mix Dazzling Diamonds Glitter with Embossing Powder at a 1 to 1 ratio. I used White Embossing Powder for my frosting. If you want less sparkle use a 2 to 1 ratio. Mix it in a small plastic ziplock bag for best results as the glitter will settle at the bottom of a container.
*Stamp your image and carefully apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the area you want to frost. Use the tip of the glue bottle to create swirls for added texture.
*Sprinkle your powder mixture over the frosted area & tap excess back into the bag. Use your Heat Tool to set. When the frosting starts to bubble, stop heating and let the bubbles go down. Heat again to make sure the adhesive is dry.

I used the retired Fun & Fast Notes set for my main image but the cupcake in the NEW Easy Events set would be perfect for this card.
The Happy Birthday greeting comes from the Bring on the Cake set. I added some Faux Frosting to the cake so it looks good enough to eat and my Versamarker adds some "color" to my greeting. Click on the photos to see them larger.

Here's a fun Christmas Card that we made at last month's Technique Geeks Class. We used the rubber cement resist technique and all the stampers thought it was one of the best techniques to date.
My inspiration came from this card that I received in our Founder's Circle swap. I knew right away that this was going to be a fun technique.

This is one of the cards from my "It's Raining Men" card class in September. Click to see more of my Manly Cards. We used the Not So Seriously stamp set and I just love these little dogs!
We stamped them in Early Espresso and added some details to their collars and the grass with a couple of Stampin Write Markers. I finally got to use my Always Artichoke Denim Jean Ribbon....WOO HOO!! The background was done with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the gals commented that this is a really simple card to make.

For this card, we used the Autumn Days stamp set to stamp the wheat in Versamark and cover it with Gold Embossing Powder. It is very striking. The Mocha Morning Specialty Designer Series Paper has this fabulous striped paper in the pack and it just made the other neutral elements come together.

I held my Halloween Village of Cuteness class last weekand here are some shots of the fun. The gals worked really hard and it was a good thing I had prepped all the pieces and parts the day before. :-)
This is the village as I designed it. A big thanks to my hubby for cutting and sanding all our blocks, he is the best. You can see him in action making cookies with me in THIS POST!

Things to Remember:
This was one of the projects that my club gals made in September. We used the Gently Falling set and I had all the line art images on Block F and that made the stamping go quickly.
It is a horizontal step card and the Simply Scored Tool made it a breeze!!

We tied the Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon and a piece of the Spice Cake Fabric together and attached the cut out acorn to the knot with a glue dot. Added a bit of Linen thread and attached the little embellishment to the card with a Mini Clothespin. The Mini clothespins are only $2.95 for a pack of 24, what a bargain!!

Things to Remember:
This was one of the cards we made at a recent monthly card class called It's Raining Men. It uses the Lovely as a Tree set with our Watercolor Wonder Crayons. We spritzed the stamp with Stampin' Mist and then added the color to the leaves of the tree with various colors from the Regals Watercolor Wonder Crayons, spritzed it again and stamped it onto a piece of Confetti Cream card stock. We then cleaned the stamp and used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to over stamp the image again in Chocolate Chip.
The pennant strip was done by stamping the Solid Stripes ala'carte stamp in Versamark on a strip of Riding Hood Red and then snipping the end off with the Postage Stamp Punch.

Things to Remember:
This is one of the cards we made at last weeks monthly card class. We used the Easy Events stamp set for the main image and colored it in with Stampin' Write Markers and Blender Pens. Can you see the fine line I drew around the top of the tree with my Crumb Cake Marker, this adds dimension to the tree and it is soooo easy! I opted to add some clouds to the scene and they come from the Up, Up & Away stamp set.

The large layer was stamped with the NEW Netting Background Stamp in Pool Party. We used the Brayer to add the ink to the stamp for smooth, even coverage. The White Baker's Twine really shows off the focal point. The gals really loved this card. You can come make five all occasion greeting cards every month in my monthly card class. TIP FROM BARB: Here is a shot of the back of my Wild Wasabi layer to show you how I added the twine. Each corner was punched with the Ticket Corner Punch and then wrapped with the twine. I started in one corner and secured the end with a Mini Glue Dot. Wrap the twine around the front along one edge and then come to the back on the diagonal. Continue this until you have all four corners done. The little Rose Red heart is from the Owl Builder Punch.

Frozen Shoulder update: Still in alot of pain and now my left shoulder is really starting to exhibit the same signs. I have an appt with the Ortho Doc tomorrow and hopefully he will have some good news on how to prevent the left shoulder from following the same path. Keep your fingers crossed for me as I have not been sleeping (even worse than with one bad shoulder) and pretty much in pain all day. Thank you for all your kind comments and prayers, they are much appreciated!!
Do you ever feel the need for speed? I certainly do and that is how I feel this morning as I type up this post. I am on vacation while you are reading this, I typed it up back in July before I left. I used my Fun Flowers Bigz L Die to create these adorable notepads. It seems like I am always searching my purse or car for something to write on and now the search is over.
I have one clipped on the strap of my purse and one in my car. I used two 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 pieces of Peach Parfait card stock and twelve 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 sheets of copy paper. I made two passes through the Big Shot with the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die and then one more with one of our Textured Impressions Embossing Folders to create these.
I put them together, punched a hole with my Crop-a-dile, added a book ring from the office supply store and a piece of Poly Stitched Ribbon.
The 5 Petal Flower image from the Flower Fest stamp set worked perfectly for the center design and the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch looks pretty nifty too. I used one of my favorite color combos on this project, I like to call it the three P's - Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz.
My club gals made these in June and they were a big hit.

This is one of the make & take projects that my club gals will be making this month.
It uses the retiring Perfect Setting Bigz XL Die 115961 which is available while supplies last. This die is on the Last Chance List and is a whopping 40% off making it a mere $25.77 a savings of over $17!! You can use the curved die cut to create these little gift packages.
I added a cute cupcake liner I had in the cupboard and I have a darling treat. You can also use the die to create cupcake baskets like I did in THIS POST. The long decorative strip is designed to be a napkin ring but you could use it as a border strip on a card or scrapbook page.
