Desk Calendars- Free Mini Tutorial

This was a club project back in November and I forgot to post it.  They are so easy to make.  You need a half sheet of card stock (5 1/2 x 8 1/2).  Score it with the Simply Scored Tool at 3", 6", 6 3/4", and 7 1/2".  Fold as shown and secure with Multipurpose Adhesive.

Adhere your calendar to some coordinating Designer Series Paper and add a bow as an embellishment.  You can find the instructions for the bow by clicking Download Easypeasybow.

Sneak Peak - New Designer Series Paper

Here is another Sneak Peak for you.  It uses the current a la carte stamp from the Summer Mini called Sail Away and the greeting is from the Best of Everything set that will be available for you to order at noon on Friday, July 1st.

The Designer Series Paper is from a pack in the NEW Catalog called Well Worn and it will also be available on Friday.  It is a nifty masculine paper and I know I will get alot of use out of it.

I did a bit of paper piecing on the boat, I stamped the image on Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy and Cajun Craze. 

I hand cut the boat and flag and applied them over the image stamped on Crumb Cake with my 2-Way Glue Pen.  I love using the Glue Pen for adhering small pieces.

The greeting from Best of Everything was stamped on the Pennant Banner from the Petal Cone Bigz L Die and then cut to fit.

Last Chance Designer Series Papers

These cards all use Designer Series Paper on the Last Chance List.  This is another project my club gals will be making this week. The DSP pieces measure 2x3 and the mat is 3 1/4 x 4 1/4.  We are also using 12" of retiring 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon.

The stamped image is from the Pretty Postage set and is punched out with the Postage Stamp Punch.

Last Chance Lists - Razzle Dazzle & Blueberry Crisp

This is another card we did in my monthly card class last week.  I hold a monthly card class on the 1st Thursday of each month, let me know if you want to come in July. 

 

The retiring Razzle Dazzle stamp set coordinates perfectly with the Blueberry Crisp Designer Series Paper and both of these items are on the Last Chance List.

We inked the main image in Crumb Cake, removed the ink from the flowers with our fingers or a q-tip and then colored in the flowers with the Pacific Point Marker.  Pretty nifty huh!!

Perfect Punches - Quick Birthday Card

 

Quick post today.  The Book Fair is over for another six months and my house is a wreck, there are no clean clothes and the cupboard is bare....LOL   I didn't have much time for stampin' this past week so here is a card I received from my upline a few months ago.  I like how she cut the Zig Zag patterned piece of paper and used it for embellishments.

Nature Walk

Nature Walk is fast becoming one of my favorite new sets from the Occasions Mini Catalog and I was creating with it this weekend. 

I started this card by inking my Clear Block D with my Crumb Cake Marker.  I slid the brush tip of my marker back and forth on the diagonal and this is the pattern it created when I stamped it onto my Confetti Cream card stock.  Pretty cool huh!  I really like the diagonal look as it gives the main image a vintage look with no effort!

I used Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the flower image and stamped it three times without reinking over the image created by my clear block. I added some Soft Suede ink around the edges with a Sponge Dauber to soften the edges.

The background is the large Woodgrain stamp paired with a pattern from the Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper Pack.  Some gathered Crumb Cake Seam Binding pulls the two halves together.

Sweet Summer Trio and a Safety Tip

This was one of the make & take projects in my workshops in February.  We are practicing our watercoloring skills on this one. :-)  I made the card using three colors and the gals could choose which one they made.

The card is basic layering and I love that I can use my Patterns Designer Series Paper Stacks in the workshops.  The patterns are the same on all colors in the stack and you get 40 12x12 sheets for only $19.95. 

Speaking of Designer Series Papers, I am looking for a couple of people to do a Paper Share with my local gals.  You will get 217 6x6 sheets of all the Designer Series Paper we currently offer including the patterns used on these cards and the papers in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The cost with mailing is $49.95, that is less than .25 cents per sheet, what a bargain!!!  Email me if you are interested.

We used two sets from the Sale-a-bration brochure, Sweet Summer and So Happy For You.  You can choose either of these sets with a $50 purchase through March 31st.  The colors are Marina Mist, Rich Razzleberry and Wild Wasabi.  We used the Crop-a-dile to put a tiny snip in the folded edge so we could wrap our ribbon around and through the inside of the card.  We had a good laugh at all the parties as I explained how if you aren't careful, with this tool you can put a squeeze on more than your paper and yes you had to be there!!!  Let's just say that you need to be aware of where the ends of the handles are before you squeeze it, that is your safety tip of the day.

More Valentine Love for My Kiddos

I found these Hershey's Kisses Heart Shaped Chocolate Boxes at my grocery store for $1.  While they would make a nice little gift for my kiddos as they are, I thought they needed a little Stampin' Up! pizzazz!!!!

I started by placing them face down (well only one is face down in the photo) on some of the Love Impressions Designer Series Paper to trace around the hearts.  I cut out the hearts and glued them to the front of the box.  These were probably the easiest things I have altered in a long time!!!  Here are the finished boxes.

I used the Beary Nice Wishes Build A Bear set for my greeting and of course, no Valentine would be complete without some Red Glimmer Paper!! 

Do you see the arrow through my glimmer heart on the right?  I took one of the NEW Game Spinner Hands, cut it in half, flipped the back end and attached both pieces to the back of my heart. My son should think this is cool.

A $3 Snowglobe

I found this snowglobe at a local store and it was only $3.  The bottom pops off and you can insert whatever you want to the middle.  I thought pictures of my kiddos would be the perfect thing for the middle. {smile} 

After replacing the bottom, it looked pretty plain so I quickly added a strip of Designer Series Paper and some White Grosgrain Ribbon. 

It is a Christmas present for my mom.  I gave it to her a little early when we went to visit last week.

Deck the Halls with Squares - Online Spectacular

This was a really easy card to make and I was able to make it out of scraps sitting on my stamp table.  I punched three squares out of scraps of the Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper #120810 and glued them to my Crumb Cake layer.  A strip of Always Artichoke Seam Binding #121000 and a Jeweled Pearl #119247 finish it off nicely.  The Merry Christmas greeting is from the Bells and Boughs set W120831, C121142.

I cut a 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 strip of Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper and adhered it to the front of the Mini Lunch Sack.  I Stamped the image from the Gifted set once in Old Olive and once in Cherry Cobbler and punched out the middle of the Cherry Cobbler image with the 2 x 1 3/8 Oval Punch, layered them on a 2 1/2 x 1 3/4 peice of Cherry Cobbler card stock and mounted themt to the Mini Lunch Sack with Stampin' Dimensionals on each side.  The Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon goes under the tag and ties near the top so the receiver can move it aside to get to the goodies inside.

I hope the gals at the workshop like it. :-)

Scallop Envelope Treat Holder

The Scallop Envelope Bigz Die can be used for alot of things and I am using it today as a treat holder.  I cut two envelopes with my Big Shot in Real Red.  I cut a little over an inch off the bottom flap of each envelope and glued the three sides together

Here is the side view so you can see how deep it is.

I added a 2 x 3 piece of the Candy Cane Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper, folded the front flap down and adhered it with my Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I made a tag with the Tags til' Christmas set (get it in a bundle for 20% off!!!) some Stampin' Write Markers and my Scallop Square Punch. 

As I was shopping today I found these yummy Peppermint Bark Ghirardelli Squares and my favorite Bob's Mini Candy Canes to fill them with.

I am lovin' my new camera!! I am still learning how to use it but it takes great pictures without me having to do anything, even under the fluorescent lighting in my stamp room ....... WAHOO!!  My old Kodak took OK pictures but I spent too much time setting my "studio" up all over the house to get the right light and editing them alot to get them to look decent.

Lovely Letters Treat Tube

These treat tubes are so easy to make and you can make them any size you need.  Check out my Halloween version.  This version would make a great place setting for your Thanksgiving Dinner.

I took a 4x6 piece of the Autumn Spice Specialty Designer Series paper and added some of our Brown Waffle Paper to one of the long sides, rolled it into a tube and secured the edge with our Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I then cut 1/4" slits on the bottom and folded the tabs into the tube, added a little Liquid Glue and placed the tube onto a 1 3/4" Scallop Circle.  To cover the place where the tube meets the base, I ran a bead of the Multipurpose Liquid Glue around the meeting area and poured some Champagne Glass Glitter all over.  I also added some of the glitter around the top edge where the tube meets the Waffle Paper.   The monogram is from the Lovely Letters stamp set and was punched out with the 1 1/4 Circle Punch and layered onto a 1 3/8 Circle and then onto the 1 3/4 Scallop Circle.   I filled it with Hershey's Nuggets.  This only took me about 15 minutes to complete.
