Let's help Stampin' Up! donate to the Haiti Relief Fund!!

Stampin′ Up! demonstrators have a long history of making a difference in the lives of others--especially when disaster strikes and the need is greatest. So it was not surprising that so many demonstrators have contacted Stampin' Up! in the past week asking what the plan is for helping to provide relief for those who continue to suffer from the effects of the earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12.

Here is the plan:

From now until February 28, 2010, $2 from every I {Heart} Hearts stamp set demonstrators sell (or buy) will be donated American Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund. I will match this amount on all the sets I sell by January 30th.

The Red Cross is already well-established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.

More Chipboard Hearts from my classes this weekend

I had a slew of classes this weekend and we made the Hanging Hearts at a few of them.  Here are a couple more groups of them.  Click HERE to see more about the On Board Heart books that we used for this project.

These were made by Kristen, Denise, Bobbi, Katelyn and me.  I love how different they turn out and everyone loved them!!

 

This group was done by Melissa, Becky, JoAnn, Mary Jo, Mandy and me.  These Hanging Hearts are just too much fun!!

On Board Chipboard Books and a Valentine Giveaway

I am giving away three Hanging Heart Kits to make the project shown in this post.

With the release of the NEW Occasions Mini Catalog, Stampin' Up! is offering die cut On Board Chipboard Books (page 34 in the mini) available in the following shapes: 

     
These shapes are approximately 6x6 with the bird being approx 4 x 8
 
These are very inexpensive ($4.95 each) and are great for making mini albums.....

 
but the chipboard pieces can also be used individually!!!  We did this at my class last night.  A very simple project that packs a real punch. :-)

I gave each of the gals a chipboard heart, piece of the Sending Love Glittery Designer Series Paper, strip of the NEW Satin Ribbon, Epoxy Brad and letters cut with the Simple Letters Alphabet and the Big Shot. 

We covered the hearts with the Sending Love DSP using the Stampin' Up! Glue Sticks (my favorite for sdding paper to chipboard) and trimmed off the excess.  Then we used a Sanding Block to really smooth the edges.  They swapped scraps and punched out hearts with the Small Heart and Heart to Heart punches to add coordinating hearts to the front.  A piece of the gorgeous NEW Satin Ribbon was added to the back and secured with a Real Red Epoxy Brad through the existing hole.  Here is a close up of their projects.

What's My Name? - Blog Candy Contest

My dear friend and downline Kay got this Build-A-Bear for me at convention since I was unable to attend.  I love her and she will become my mascot in my new stamping room!!

Coming September 1st, you will be able to order the NEW Build-A-Bear Workshop Exclusive Stampin' Up! dies for your Big Shot.  My daughter has gone nuts for these die cuts and so have her friends.  I will post some pictures of these paper bears soon.

Back to my bear, I have a problem, she doesn't have a name.  My daughter wants me to name her stamper, however, I know of another animal named stamper and he would not appreciate that very much!!

Another Money Holder and FREE stamps for you!!!

Here is the second money holder that I created the other day.

 

I used the Ski Slope paper again and this time added a greeting from the Curly Punch Bundle.  The mat behind the greeting was created by punching two Curly Labels from Chocolate Chip card stock, cutting them in half (one vertically and one horizontally) and adhering all four pieces to the back of the stamped greeting.  My Baja Breeze Ribbon finishes it off.  The dimensions of this money holder are 9 1/4 x 6 1/2 and I scored it at 3 and 6 1/4.

I added a Fire Circle Rhinestone Brad to the middle of a Little Felt Flurrie as I felt it needed something inside. :-)

Owl Together Now samples

We received the Owl Together Now set on the ship and here are a bunch of samples using it. 

 

The first three are the make & take projects we made at our stamping session on Friday morning.

These next pictures were on display in the hospitality room on the ship.  I will post some more later.

SPOILED!!!!!

Can you say spoiled!!!  Stampin' Up! had our cabin stewards put things on our beds every night!!!  I would eat dinner and then race back to my cabin each night to see what was waiting for me.

This blanket was waiting for me when I got to my cabin on the first day.  How big is it you ask.......how would I know, I am not going to use it!!!!!

This is a HUGE beachbag that I took to Horseshoe Bay, it holds alot of stuff.

The make & take goodies!!!  A new stamp set called Owl Together Now, seven markers, a Stazon pad and a Versamark pad.  All of this was iinside this cool bag!!! 

We received a desk calendar the last night to track our way to HAWAII next year!!!  WOOHOO!!!!

SPOILER ALERT!!  The next photo shows the back of each calendar page and it is NEW paper that will be in the Fall-Winter Collection 2008 Catalog!!!! I am not sure if all the pieces are from the same designer series pack.

Even our husbands received gifts, a leather coin valet and a clip on watch!!!
