Dot, Dot, Dot and the Butterfly Accent

Here is a card using the Dot, Dot, Dot and Butterfly Accent single stamps on pages 42-43 of the Occasions Mini Catalog that ends on April 30th.  The Butterfly Accent stamp is a teeny bit larger than one of the butterflies on the Beautiful Butterflies Big Shot Bigz die.

I used Bermuda Bay, So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Melon Mambo on this card.  The Elegant Bouquet Impressions Folder #115964 was used with my Big Shot to create the raised image on the card base.  I used my 1/2 Circle Punch and the Antique Brass Build-A-Brads to create the accent piece.

How Can You "Resist" Messages For Mom

Catchy title don't cha think. :-)  I have been playing with the Emboss Resist technique for a while now and it never gets old!!  I had a GREAT time using Vintage Vogue with this technique (click HERE to see that) and thought the Messages For Mom stamp set would work great for it as well.

I stamped the flower image in Rose Red Classic Ink, stamped the Mom image in Versamark and heat set it with clear embossing powder.   I added the Pretty in Pink Classic Ink with a Sponge Dauber.  The Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon is an elegant addition with the Rose Red Button from the Fresh Favorites II Colored Buttons pack #107422

Do You Need A Gift Certificate?

Prizes - Glassine Bags with Ribbon

These little Glassine Bags are filled with ribbon.  They are in the Occasions Mini Catalog and are only available through April 30th.  They make the cutest little gifts.  See what else I did with these bags HERE and HERE. 

I stamped on them using the With All My Heart stamp set that is also in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I used the retiring Green Galore, and Crushed Curry Classic Pads and one of our returning In Colors, Melon Mambo.  The ink does take a bit of time dry on these bags so I used my Heat Tool to speed up the process.

The little tissue flowers were done with the Extra Large Fancy Flower Punch.  I punched eight of them in each color and layered them together, off setting each one a bit.  When I had them all layered, I poked a hole in the middle with the Piercing Tool and added a decorative brad to the center.  Then you take each layer and scrunch it up around the brad so they look like this!

Aren't they just the neatest things!!  We made these at a recent Technique Geeks class and they were a HUGE hit. :-)

This card was a make & take at a recent workshop and it was a big hit.  I paired three of our retiring colors with Always Artichoke.  They are Bordering Blue, Apricot Appeal and Really Rust.   I also used the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set which is 20% off this month and cut out the flower.  Two sets of leaves from the Extra Large Bird Punch add color under the flower.  The Bird Punch in in the Occasions Mini Catalog which ends April 30th.  If there is anything you need from it, order it soon.  The large Bordering Blue mat was run through the Big Shot Machine with the Finial Press Impressions Folder.

Birthday Bliss Card Class Saturday - Kit to go

Glassine Bags for Easter Treats

Here is another cute Easter treat.  I have other treat ideas and you can find them HERE.  This treat uses the Eggcoutrements stamp set from the Occasions Mini and I added a yummy Reeses Peanut Butter Egg.  The Glassine Bag has polka dots on it!!!  I ran the bag through my Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder to get the polka dots.

I wrapped a piece of Double Stitched Chocolate Chip Ribbon around it and added the tag that I created with the Eggcoutrements set.  I stamped the basked image in Chocolate Chip and punched it out with my Small Tag Punch.  The So Saffron layer was done with my Tag Punch and the Certainly Celery layer was hand cut.  The snippets of Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon finish it off.

Eggcoutrements Easter Easel Card

WOW there are alot of E's in the title of this post. :-)  Here is another Easel Card, you can see the Easel Calendar Card I made with the Vintage Vogue set HERE with some instructions.  These cards are really very easy to make.

I used Lavender Lace, Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery Stampin' Pastels (chalks) to color the raised images made when I ran my Shimmery White card stock through my Big Shot with the Elegant Bouquet Impressions Folder.  I also used my Piercing Tool and Mat Pack to add the rows of pierced holes along the side and along the bottom.  I used two different stamps from the Eggcoutrements set for my images and punched them out with the 1" Circle and Designer Label Punches.

Here is a side view showing how my bottom layer is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals to keep the card in the open position.  I also added a knot of Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon.

Vintage Vogue Easel Card - Desk Calendar

I demonstrated this Easel Card Calendar last month and my gals loved it.  It uses the Vintage Vogue (wood-117690/clear 118598) and Define Your Life (114950) stamp sets.  Did you know that you can get Define Your Life FREE this month (47.95 value) when you join my team of Stampin' Up! Here is the front, I used Not Quite Navy, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Classic Ink for the stamped images. Here are the dimensions of the card stock pieces

Old Olive - 8 1/2 x 4 1/4 for base fold in half and then fold one side in half again to the inside

    4 1/4 x 4 1/4 added to folded flap

Not Quite Navy - 4 x 4 first layer

   1 1/2 x 4 stopper on the bottom

Whisper White - 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 for stamped main layer

   1 1/4 x 3 3/4 for stamped stopper layer on the bottom

I used a thin layer of Rich Razzleberry behind the calendar and finished off the detail by using my Mat Pack and Piercing Tool to do some paper piercing around the top right edges and added the knot of our yummy Old Olive Satin Ribbon in the corner.

Chocolate Chip Prints and Sweet Pea Stitched Felt with a Starbucks Bottle

My friend gave me some of these Starbucks bottles and wanted me to do something with them.  After careful deliberation (read as put in a cupboard and just found them a few days ago) I came up with an idea.

I had purchased some Hershey's Chocolate Flowers in the Easter candy section at a local store and thought they would be the perfect thing to put in the bottle.

The bottle was wrapped with a piece of our Chocolate Chip Prints Designer Series Paper and then I added some of the wonderful Sweet Pea Stitched Felt Flowers with my Mono Multi Adhesive.  The Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon adds some detail around the middle.

Here is a view of the lid and a close up of the little tag I added.

 

The lid is done with the 1 3/4" Circle and 1 3/8" Circle Punch layered and I added a Sweet Pea flower to the top.  The tag is made with the Tiny Tags set from the Occasions Mini Catalog and I stamped the images in Rose Red, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive. I punched it out with the Medium Jewelry Tag Punch also in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  It is hanging from the bottle with Linen Thread.

I am going to do the prep work for my taxes today and it will take me at least the whole day so I am not really looking forward to it!!

St. Patrick's Day Cookie Treats

I whipped up a pile of these cookie treats for some friends. I used the Glassine Bags and Go Green single stamp from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  For those of you who are wondering, I did not bake these cookies, they are the Lofthouse brand. :-)

I used Garden Green and Certainly Celery card stocks and Garden Green Classic Ink.  The Garden Green layer was done with the Scallop Trim Border Punch that you can earn FREE during sale-a-bration with your $50 orders this month.  The shamrock was made with the NEW Small Heart Punch after I ran the Garden Green card stock through my Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder.

Looking forward to stamping with eight great gals today for my Fancy Folds class.  Check back for the photos of those.

Plate for All Seasons - March

This is my plate insert for the month of March.  I held a class back in January and we made six different inserts for our plates.  The gals had a blast and I am thinking of offering it again.

I used the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit for my shamrock and the Designer Paper is from the Flock Together Package.  The upper background is the flourish from Baroque Motifs stamped in Versamark on Garden Green card stock.  The "Go Green" saying is a single stamp in the back of the Occasions Mini Catalog and I backed it with a Big Shot die cut from the Ovals die and a tag from the Sizzlit set called Lots of Tags

I do have a set of six inserts left over from my class and they will go to the first person who emails me that they want them.  The cost will be $25 including shipping and must be paid via payal.  If you want the plate and the plate stand, the price will be $40 shipping included.

Extra Large Fancy Flower Punch

This was a make & take from a recent Stampin' Up! event.  I modified it a bit and added colored circles to the top portion with various colors of ink and my 1 1/4 Circle Punch.

 

I used the Delicate Dots Jumbo Wheel in Bashful Blue ink across the middle of the card.  The small flower image in the With All My Heart set was stamped in Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo and Bashful Blue and then punched out with the 1 1/4 Circle Punch and adhered to the top of the panel.  I did purposely hang them off the edge and trim them with my Paper Snips for a random look.

The large flower was stamped in Melon Mambo ink on Melon Mambo card stock and punched out with the super cool NEW Extra Large Fancy Flower punch from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  There is a Pretty in Pink Epoxy Brad in the center of the flower that is hanging from the Bashful Blue Striped Grosgrain ribbon with Linen Thread.  The stamped greeting is from the Thank You Kindly set that you can choose for FREE when you place a $50 during Sale-a-bration.

Make & Takes for a Fundraiser

Workshop Make & Take card

This is a card that we did in a few of my workshops this month.  I love the color combination, so bright and springy!!

The Bashful Blue layer was run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dot Impressions Folder.  We stamped the large flower image in the With All My Heart set in Melon Mambo ink onto Melon Mambo card stock.  It was then punched out with the Extra Large Fancy Flower punch in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The middle is Pretty in Pink ink stamped on Whisper White card stock and I added a small blue Ice Circle Rhinestone to the middle.  The Bashful Blue Grosgrain ribbon is wrapped around and adhererd to the back.  The greeting is stamped in Old Olive.

Lookie, lookie, you can turn this card to the vertical position you get a flower complete with stem and leaves.  Thanks to Vicki to pointing this out to me at her workshop on Friday night. :-)
