This time I used the So Happy For You stamp set and the Ice Cream Parlor Quick Accents Pack and Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon & Buttons Pack.  You can earn any of these items FREE with a $50 order placed by March 31st.

I had fun creating this card and it is just so bright and cheery.  I am having a bit of Spring Fever here so this is something fun to look at instead of the snow falling outside!!

Squiggleclose I am sure you noticed the little squiggly ends coming off the Melon Mambo button.

I threaded a thin strip of card stock through the button and tied it in a knot leaving the long ends.  Distressingessentials The ends were wrapped around the round file from the Distressing Essentials Kit to create the squiggles.  Click HERE and HERE for a few more projects I have done with this kit.

Tart & Tangy Popsicle Invitations

Tarttangypopsicles1

I found these while cleaning my stamp room a few months ago and since the Tart & Tangy set is part of Sale-a-bration, I thought I would share them.  Get the Tart & Tangy set FREE with a $50 order placed this month.

I actually made these invitations to my darling daughter's birthday party back in 2008.

Start with a 4 x 5 1/2 piece of card stock and fold it in half to make a 2 3/4 x 4 card.  Take a "bite" out of the top right corner with the 1 3/4 Scallop Punch.  TIP: Punch one side at a time as our punches are not designed to go through two layers of our thick card stock.

I stamped the lemon/lime/orange image in craft ink and embossed it with our Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder so they really sparkle.  They were punched out with the 1 1/4" circle, and layered on a 1 3/8 circle and a 1 3/4 Scallop Circle

Tarttangypopsiclein Here is a shot of the inside, the white piece is 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 and I took a "bite" out of this layer as well.  I attached the popsicle stick with Sticky Strip and then placed Stampin' Dimensionals all around the white layer so it was even with the stick.

Inviting The Inviting stamp set on page 53 will work perfect for these cards.

The ribbon is our 1/4" White Grosgrain and I dragged the brush tip end of a Stampin' Write Marker along both edges to apply the color.

My daughter still talks about these invitations so I guess they are pretty cool. :-)

Punch Bunch Notecard and Portfolio Set

Punchbunchnotefolio

Wouldn't this make a great gift.  I sure think so, I got the idea for the portfolio from my friend Dawn and used the Ice Cream Parlor Sale-a-bration items to create it.

The cards all use the Self Adhesive Die Cuts in the Quick Accents Pack along with the Punch Bunch stamp set.  I added some Ice Cream Parlor Buttons with Linen Thread to the front of the portfolio and jazzed up my envelopes with a few more Die Cuts.

Punchbunchnotefolioclose Here is a close up shot of the stamped image.  First I inked the flower then stamped it off once.  I then went back over the lines between the petals with the same color marker to give it variation in color as well as some dimension.

A Bit O' the Green For You

Cheerstoyoustpats

I have a few friends that I send St. Patrick's Day cards to each year and here is one of the cards for 2011.  When I was quite a bit younger, a few of us would frequent a place for green beer on St. Patty's Day so I think they will get a kick out of this card.

This was also a card we did at my monthly card class last night, I hold this class on the 1st Thursday of each month.  Join me next month and make five all occasion cards including one for Easter.

Do you see the striped background behind my mug?  I used the Solid Stripes Mini Background Stamp that you can choose FREE this month with your $50 orders and punched it out with the 2 1/2 Circle Punch.  The mug is from the Cheers to You set 114944.

Have you gotten yours?  My newsletter that is, it went out this week.  If not, you can sign up to receive it HERE.

Making a Party Banner

Partybanner

I posted this party banner last weekend during the Control Freaks Blog Tour and I wanted to give you some more info on it.  It was created using the Table Setting Bigz XL Die.

PartybannerPAR I used the Table Setting die to cut five napkin rings and cut 1 1/2" off one end.  The Brights Designer Series Patterns Stack includes this super cute polka dot print and the layered die cut piece is also on the Table Setting die.  It makes the perfect layer on each panel.

I cut the letters twice from the Simple Alphabet Letters Bigz Die Set, once in white and once in color for a slight contrast and to make the letters pop just a bit more.  Each panel is decorated using different embellishments, I have listed them below for you.  I also used the Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon & Button Pack you can get FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration.

PartybannerTY I used our Multipurpose Adhesive to adhere the cut end of the napkin ring over the Melon Mambo Pompom Trim.  These banners are very easy to make and I had a great time adding all the embellishments. I will be making more of these. :-)

Purchase the supplies to make your own banner in my Online Store.

Supplies:
Paper: Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Brights Patterns Paper Stack
Accessories: Big Shot Machine, Simple Alphabet Bigz Die Set, Table Setting Bigz XL Die, Multipurpose Adhesive
Embellishments: Brights Designer Buttons, Brights Flower Brads, Clear Rhinestone Brads, Circle Fire Rhinestone Brads, Circle Ice Rhinestone Brads, Basic Rhinestones, Melon mambo Pompom Trim, Daffodil Delight 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Sweet Stitches Big Designer Buttons, Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon & Button Pack-FREE with your $50 order
