Simply Scored Tool

VIDEO - Detailed Floral Thinlits Treat Pouch

Have you seen the Detailed Floral Thinlits on page 77 of the NEW CATALOG!!  These dies are absolutely fabulous!!  I have created  a few cards with them but this pouch is my fave right now.  I made my original with Thick Whisper White cardstock as I felt a treat pouch needed thicker card stock.

Bag

This was a project included in my June Be a Big Shot at Home packet.  The gals that participate in this class are mailed the supplies to create 3-4 projects each month and then at the end of the four months, they each receive a $150 gift certificate from me to spend on anything they want from the catalog.

I have a video for you that shows you how to create this pouch.

Diagonal Scoring Plate Gift Box

This is a gift box created with the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate. Did you know you can earn the Diagonal Plate FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration. You can but you better hurry as it ends on Thursday!  This was one of my club projects for March.

Diagonalplateboxtangoout

You start with a 7 1/2 x 7 1/2 piece of card stock and using the Diagonal Plate, you score it at 2 1/4 and 3 1/2 on all four sides.  Cut out the triangles on the sides , cut tabs and assemble with a bit of Sticky Strip.

I am working on a video for you and it should be ready in a couple of days so be sure to come back for that.

Here is a peek at the inside.  I have Sycamore Street Buttons and a roll of the Sycamore Street Ribbon in the box so you can get a feel for the finished size. The roll of ribbon fits perfectly and you could actually fit two rolls of this ribbon easily.

Diagonalplateboxtangoin

The belly band is a 1" x 9" strip of Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper which is also available for FREE with a $50 order.

See all the Sale-a-bration choices in this flyer Download Sale-a-bration_Flyer!

DiagonalplateboxtangobradThe Itty Bitties stamp set coordinates perfectly with the Designer Builder Brads and we used both on this embellishment.  We stamped the image in Tangerine Tango on Whisper White and punched it out with the small circle in the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.  We attached it to the brad with a Mini Glue Dot and then attached the epoxy bubble.

You only now have FOUR days left to earn FREE Sale-a-bration items with your $50 orders, place your orders in my Online Store at www.shoppingwithbarb.com.

Join My Team in the next four days during Sale-a-bration for the terrific price of only $99 and receive $156.50 in your Starter kit!!  Please contact me if you have any questions.

One More Card with the Pop 'n Cuts Card Base!

The Pop 'n Cuts Card Base Die on page 32 of the Spring Catalog isn't just for making fun dress cards.  This die can be used alone to make regular sized cards and smaller cards with a Fancy Fold like this one.  Check out my other Pop 'n Cuts Base cards HERE, HERE and HERE.

PopncutsbloominmarclosedThe two main sets I used are in the Sale-a-bration Brochure, Bloomin Marvelous and Pretty Petites.  Bloomin Marvelous has greetings and solid images so it is a very versatile set.

Popncutstrifoldpartial1
**To create this fun card, click HERE for a brief tutorial**

BARB'S TIP: Adhere a 4 1/4 x 1 1/4 strip of Designer Series Paper to the flat end before running it through the machine if you want a pattern on that flap.

I chose the Tangerine Tango Diagonal Stripe Pattern from the Sale-a-bration pack called Sycamore Street.  You can get this paper FREE with a $50 placed with me - www.shoppingwithbarb.com.

Did you notice the tiny Island Indigo flowers in the centers?  The teeny flower stamp is from the set called Itty Bitties on page 25 of the Spring Catalog. The Itty Bitties set coordinates with the Soda Pop Tops and the Itty Bitty Punch Pack.  I also used the Bitty Butterfly Punch from the Spring Catalog to add my butterfly to the main focal point.

Pop 'n Cuts Card Base Die - not just for dresses!

The Pop 'n Cuts Card Base Die on page 32 of the Spring Catalog isn't just for making fun dress cards.  This die can be used alone to make regular sized cards and smaller cards with a Fancy Fold like this one.

I chose the cute pair of jeans from the Patterned Occasions Stamp Set that you can earn FREE with your Sale-a-bration orders placed by March 22nd.

Popncutstrifoldout

This inside Whisper White Panel is 4x4 and I added another strip of paper from the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper (also FREE dueing Sale-a-bration) to the edge and stamped the second part of my greeting in Tangerine Tango.

Popncutstrifoldpartial

To create this fun card, I ran a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of card stock through the Big Shot Machine with the Pop 'n Cuts Card Base Die and then placed it on my Simply Scored Scoring Tool.  I scored at 1 1/4" x 4" and 8 1/4".

You can get this paper FREE with a $50 placed with me - www.shoppingwithbarb.com

Fold up as shown and decorate as you like.

Popncutsfoldtopview Popncutsfoldsideview

I also added a 4 1/4 x 2 piece of another pattern in the package under the flap to jazz up the front a bit more.  The flap is secured by two dimensionals so you can stsill tuck the fun edges of the top flap into the slits created by the die.+

Sale-a-bration Patterned Occasions Fun Fold

I had fun making this simple card and coordinating envelope. It is a 4 x 12 piece of card stock with a 1 x 12 strip from the Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper pack scored at 4" and 8". This makes a 4x4 card and I have the envelope instructions below.

Patternedoccasions4panel

The front panel uses one of the stamps in the Patterned Occasions stamp set, the birthday cupcake, and I inked it with a variety of Stampin' Write Markers.  It was punched out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch, layered on a 2" Lucky Limeade Circle from the Circles #2 Originals Die and that was layered on a Melon Mambo 2 3/8" Scallop Circle.  The little Daffodil Delight banner is a 1/2" x3 1/2" and I hand cut the ends with my Paper Snips.

Patternedoccasions4panel1
I added my greetings from the One in a Million stamp set (order it in Clear #126382 or Wood #126380) and punched them out with the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch.  I added a knot of Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon to one of the arrow clips out of the Hung Up Cute Clip pack.

Patternedoccasions4panelin

DiagonalplateI also made a coordinating envelope for my card using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool and my FREE Simply Scored Diagonal Plate. Yes, I said FREE, you can choose the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate FREE when you place a $50 order with me during Sale-a-bration.  It is one of 19 FREE products you can choose FREE with your orders through March 22nd.

EnvelopesnipI love using the Designer Series Paper Stacks for my envelopes as the patterns are subtle and the sheets are perfect for a variety sizes of envelopes. I cut a 12x12 sheet of Lucky Limeade Polka Dots from the 2011-2013 In Color Paper Stack into a 7" square and placed in on the Diagonal Scoring Plate.  I scored it at 3 1/4" on all four sides.  Punch the little triangles on each side with a 1 1/4" Square Punch and fold the flaps up to create your envelope....SO EASY!

Technique - Spritzy Shapes

Here is a fun Valentine Card. It uses a Technique I call Spritzy Shapes.  You create masks using punched or die cut shapes from the backing in the packs of Designer Series Paper.  Attach the shapes to your project with a 2-Way Glue Pen and spritz over the top of them with the ink color of your choice mixed with 70% Rubbing Alcohol in one of our Stampin' Spritzers.

Delightfuldozenspritzy

The above card also uses the Occasions Paper-Piercing pack inside one of the hearts. Heartsaflutterspritzy

I added some stamped images after my spritzing was dry with the Illuminate Glimmer Pad.

If you click the image below to make it larger, you will see all the wavy lines down the card that I created with the Border's Scoring Plate.

Hearts a Flutter

When I saw the Hearts a Flutter Bundle on page 11 of the NEW Spring Catalog, I knew it would be mine. I have a love affair with pennants so this stamp set and coordinating Framelits was right up my alley.

Hearts a Flutter Bundle
Clear Mount 131097
Wood Mount 131098

Heartsafluttercfswap

I used a number of the stamps and framelits on this card, did you notice the striped pennant as the border on the left side?  It was so easy to line up as I ordered the Clear mount set.

I also used the 2011-2013 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack #126910 for a couple of the pennants.  These stacks have 40 12x12 sheets of paper for only $21.95 which is just about 50 cents per sheet, a super deal!

HeartsafluttercfswapembossThe embossed detail near the bottom was created using the NEW Borders Scoring Plate.  This plate is used in conjunction with your Simply Scored Tool (don't have it? you can order it here) to create numerous fun borders and edges on your cards, die cuts, scrapbook pages, etc.

A Sale-a-bration Envelope!

Outlinedoccsionswenvelope

Here is another custom envelope I made last week.  I wanted it to match the card so I used Pool Party card stock.  I cut the card stock to 7 3/4 x 7 3/4 and then using my Simply Scored Tool and the NEW Diagonal Scoring Plate, I scored it at 3 1/8" on two opposite sides and 4 1/8" on the other two opposite sides.

Envelope_snipedgesI snipped out the areas where the two lines crossed with my 1 1/4" square punch and trimmed the point off the bottom flap.  The liner is from the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper that I received FREE with a $50 order I placed last month.  You can earn FREE products too, for each $50 you spend with me, either in person or in my Online Store, you can choose a FREE item from the Sale-a-bration brochure

I cut the liner to 4x4 and that seemed to be the perfect size when i folded it to form two triangles.  It fits perfectly inside the envelope.  Here is a shot of the liner in place, the crossing lines snipped out and where I put my adhesive.

Envelope_glue_liner

The card used the Outlined Occasions Stamp Set as well as the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack. Both of these items are also FREE choices for your $50 order.  I received the card in a swap.

Flirtatious 2-4-6-8 Box with Bling!!

Easyevents2468flirtatious

Here is a 2-4-6-8 box I did as a demo in my February workshops.  We used the Simply Scored Tool for the box, score it at 2", 4", 6" and 8" on the long side and 2" on the short side.  I closed it with one of the Subtles Glimmer Brads.   I used the Easy Events stamp set for the main image.  Notice the bling on it.....LOVE IT!!!  I used the Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets and our Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on it.

The main image is stamped in Black StazOn and colored in with the Stampin' Pastels.  I then covered the image with a square of the Adhesive Sheets, punched it out with the 1 3/4 Circle Punch, removed the backing and dunked it in our Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  The gals loved it!!!  I layered it on a 2" circle cut from the Circles #2 Originals Die.
