I don't know where it came from but yesterday morning as I was getting ready for a workshop, it came to me. An acetate scallop snowflake tree ornament..say that three times fast!! So of course, I had to stop immediately and make it. 🙂
I ran a piece of acetate through my Big Shot using the Scallop Circles #2 die (the larger scallop on the die) and punched a 1/16" hole through each scallop. My dear friend and downline Kay had loaned me her Go Go Boots Alphabet set (that I sort of forgot I had…seriously I did!! I will be getting it back to her ASAP) so I used some Baja Breeze card stock to make the letters. I adhered them to the acetate with a two way glue pen.
I then knew it needed glitter so I used a two way glue pen to add dots of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. I threaded some Elastic Silver Cord through two of the holes in the top of the scallop for a hanger and then used the Snow Blossom punch on a scrap of textured Baja Breeze. The clear Rhinestone brad finishes that part off nicely. I did add another Snow Blossom to the back to cover the brad.
Here is a picture of it on my Christmas tree
I really need to get some baking done (and laundry, cleaning, etc.) so that is my plan this week…..Happy Stampin !!!
Bah Humbug to baking, cleaning, and laundry. Ok, baking is good but the cleaning and laundry are not too festive. With the fabulous sale from Stampin’ Up, you’ll be so busy that cleaning and laundry will have to wait. Mj
Barb, I love it! How neat. Hugs
