Welcome to the April 2014 Tour de Freaks Blog Hop! We are so excited to have you join us today.
Our theme is "Fun for EVERYone!" so you will see some fun projects using lots of different Stampin' Up! products. Our tour features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers. You may have just come from the blog of the incredibly talented Judy DiScipio, you may be one of my blog stalkers or you may have just stumbled here…however you got here, you’ll be very glad you did! Be sure to take the whole tour! If you are arriving here on the 19th, please note that not all links may not be working yet. The tour officially begins on the 20th.
My first project uses the Rev Up the Fun stamp set. I sent these cards to some very special young men, hope they like them. 🙂
I ran a quarter sheet of Basic Black card stock through the Big Shot with the Arrows Folder and cut it on the diagonal with my Stampin' Trimmer. This gave me two pieces so I could make two cards.
I added some Smoky Slate Chevron Ribbon to create a pennant and placed a Candy Dot on a Candy Dots Brad Base for some added interest.
Supplies: Rev Up the Fun, Jet Black StazOn, Real Red, Smoky Slate and Basic Black Card Stock, Smoky Slate 3/4" Chevron Ribbon, Brights Candy Dots, Candy Dots Brad Bases, Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Stampin' Trimmer
My second project uses the Lovely As a Tree stamp set. This set has been around forever and every year I wonder if it will retire. Check back here on Monday to see the retiring stamp set list to find out if it does.
To ink the tree, tap it onto the Old Olive Pad. Whie it is still wet, use an Early Espresso Marker to color over the trunk and the branches. Huff on your stamp and press it onto the Naturals Ivory card stock.
I also used the Vintage Trinkets and added a small safety pin with a knot of our 7/16" Natural Trim for a bit of interest. This card wuld be perfect for a man or a woman.
Supplies: Loving Thoughts, Lovely As a Tree stamp sets, Naturals Ivory, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Early Eapresso card stock, Old Olive Classic Ink, Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker, Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Vintage Trinkets, 7/16" Natural Trim, Stampin' Trimmer
That does it for me, your next stop is the blog of another super talented Control Freak Stamper, Justin Krieger, I know you will love what he has to share.
Great projects Barb! I especially like the first card on the angle. I’ve seen a few done but yours is my favorite so far. The layout really fits the stamps.
