I had my second Big Shot Basics class of the week yesterday and we had a blast. After class, the gals wanted me to show them my Petal Card die. I got it out and started messing around with it. Ramona came up with the brilliant idea of turning a couple of Petal Cards into a heart shaped pouch so I put this together. I have an incredibly easy tutorial at the end of this post for this pouch, click HERE to see my other tutorials.
Isn't this just the cutest thing!!! It makes me happy just looking at it!! Imagine this hanging on a door knob or the back of an office chair for a co-worker….too cute!!!
I used the Petal Party Simply Scrappin Kit and added a bit of ribbon and a sentiment from a stamp set called A Happy Heart set. Here is a side view, I used the Rhinestone brads to secure the ribbon, they are on sale for $7.99 right now!! Notice the punched out hearts on the front, I love how this looks. I used my scraps of Pixie Pink Textured card stock and the NEW Heart to Heart punch to add this fun detail.
Supplies
A Happy Heart
Pixie Pink textured card stock, Old Olive card stock and my Pennant die for the scallop
Designer paper and die cuts are from the Petal Party SS kit
Heart to Heart punch with Pixie Pink for the hearts, Fire Circles Rhinestone Brads, Very Vanilla Wide Grosgrain
Butterfinger heart chocolates, the color is a perfect match!!
Here is the tutorial (sorry about the pictures, I took them at night):
Cut two Petal Cards and a 5 x 2 strip from any color card stock. **I recommend embellishing the front before putting it together. For the tutorial, I used a contrasting color so you can get a better visual. You can make your strip as wide as you need it but keep the 5" length. Fold the strip in half.
Apply Tombow mono multi to the outside of two of the petals
Adhere these to the inside of the folded strip
Apply Tombow mono multi to two petals of the other petal card and adhere those to the inside of the strip creating a pouch. Here is the inside view

Too easy!!! Embellish as you wish 🙂

Oh my goodness!!! HOW STINKING CUTE AND CREATIVE!!! Love it!
That’s adorable! I’m going to have to get this die now. Thanks for sharing.
Barb, what size is your petal die? If I make my strip 5″ it is too long. My petal die is an old sizzix one so I’m not sure if it’s the same size. Thanks, I love this idea.
