November 2011 Control Freaks Blog Tour – KISS-Keep it Simple Stamper

CFwelcome

Welcome to the November 2011 Tour de Freaks Blog Hop! We are so excited to have you join us today.

This month we are featuring "KISS – Keep It Simple, Stamper".

Our tour is nice and short and features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers. You may have just come from my fellow freak Jason Casper, you may be one of my blog stalkers or you may have just stumbled here…however you got here, you’ll be very glad you did!  Be sure to take the whole tour!  Note:  If you are arriving here on the 19th, please note that not all links may be working yet.  The tour officially begins on the 20th.

My first card uses two colors of ink and paper along with our Something for Christmas #122907 Single Stamp and the Serene Snowflakes #115438 stamp set.

I used Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the Something for Christmas single stamp and the Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy Classic Ink Pads for the snowflakes.  I offset the main image panel and finished the card off with some Baja Breeze Seam Binding, this was one of my cards for a local swap and I was able to crank out a bunch in a very short time.

My second card is a prototype for a stack of cards I needed to make.  We give our teachers a little thank you gift each year and this year, I offered to make the cards.

I needed to make 40 cards so I got out my Stampin' Up Note Cards #107311 that come with envelopes and off I went.  I added an extra panel of Whisper White to the prototype to see how I liked it and I decided against adding it to all the others.  It took me a little over an hour to make 40 of these cards.

I started by putting all three line art leaf stamps from Gently Falling Wood #123802, clear #123804 on my Block E and stamped them in Soft Suede ink in the upper left corner of the note.

I then added the bold leaves one at a time in each of my three colors, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz and More Mustard.  The sentiment is from Perfectly Penned Wood # 122890, Clear #122892 and I did add a bit of splatter with my Color Spritzing Tool # 107066 and my Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker.  I even stamped the envelopes!

That does it for me, your next stop is my dear friend Patty Bennett and I am sure you will love what she has to share.

  2. Both cards are so elegant! I love the thank you note – I can’t believe you cranked out 40 of those in an hour – impressive! I like how they are simple, but look very complete. Great choice of sentiment and set! TFS!
