I am using the Day of Gratitude (W120835 C121148) stamp set for one of my make & take projects this month. I love the large medallion stamp and thought a multicolored image would look really neat! I used sponge daubers to ink my stamp with Old Olive, Cajun Craze and More Mustard. I stamped it on a piece of Very Vanilla and cut it out.
I created two versions of the card and would love for you to leave me a comment letting me know which one you like better. :-) I will pick a random comment on Thursday and that person will win their favorite.
This version is certainly the simplest. To save time, you wouldn't have to cut out the image, you could simply stamp it, add a Basic Pearl Jewel to the center of the medallion and your greeting and it would be done.
Although I am a big fan of simple, this next card is a step up and I love it too!! I added a strip of Cajun Craze that I ran through my Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Folder and added a ribbon slide from the Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware Kit to the center instead of the pearl.
Be sure to leave me a comment letting me know which one you like better. :-)___________________________________________________________________

Cameron likes the one with the ribbon. It reminds me to use the ribbon slides from my Hodgepodge Hardware. Thanks!
Great cards Barb!
I like the one you cut out better. I’m lazy but I always like the 3D effect. Although, I like the pearl center better than the ribbon. I guess I like shiny things. 🙂
I like the one the simple one. I actually like the other one too but liked the pearl center and that is what pushed me over to that card.
I like the simple one out of these 2 cards. I liked the pearl center better than the ribbon in the center. So if you had a card like the simple one, but added the Cajun Craze and the wide ribbon at the top, that would really be my favorite.
I love the second one. The solid accent piece really makes the card pop.
Gotta love that 2nd one! That’s my style! Love this set too!
#2 for me! It looks “complete”. Hope you are having a fantastic Sunday!!!
Both cards are lovely, but I like the second one the best, it has depth.
I love the second one. That ribbon slide is great and I love the added texture. Beautiful!
Second one, hands down. The Cajun Craze strip just makes it pop, and I love the ribbon slide in the center. Beautiful job!
Hi Barb! I love the second one the best. I love the ribbon and the texture. I think it makes it POP. I also think a pearl in the xenter would look very pretty too. You did a beautiful job. I love the set too.
Really like the 2cd one, the added textured card stock looks great! Thanks for sharing 🙂
I prefer the second card but both are great. Thanks for sharing. I will be getting this set this coming weekend at Regionals in Des Moines. I am going to try your sample.
I love them both! I think it would depend upon who you are sending the card to. There are some of us who prefer clean and simple (number 1) and there are others who like to step things up a little bit (number 2). Both cards are lovely!
I am really loving this stamp set! Both cards are beautiful, but since you’re making me choose..heehee, it’s the second one. The extra details you added…Love it!
I think the second one with the additional strip of color makes the beautiful medallion pop out that much more. Love it!
gotta go with the 1st card beautiful…great and quick and easy to make for family and friends for thanksgiving! thanks for the idea!
I love them both, but the pop of Cajun Craze makes me crazy for it! That little addition makes the colors jump right off the card. NICE job! Love the dauber idea too btw
I love the second selection with the embossed piece and the ribbon much better than the first one.
Thanks so much for sharing your talents!!
Nancy
I like both of them. They are beautiful but I do like the first one a little bit better. I’m a clean and simple creator so this one appeals a lot more. Great designs!
I like the second one the best.
Kate
I really like both cards, but I like the first one the best. I’m for simple and easy to reproduce ! Great use of the direct ink to stamp technique.
Marilyn
I like the one with the embossed panel. I usually like the simplest of designs but this time I think the medallion needed something to help it stand out.
Barb,
I love the simplicity of the first one. The medallion makes a great focal point and really makes the card a winner!
I choose the second card, because I like the embossed strip and ribbon accent, but I like the pearl center better. A combination of the 2 would be just perfect!! 😉
Have to say my first choice would be the simplest card (#1), but the other one is not a throw-away. Feel the medallion stands out with the three beautiful color choices and the pearl in the center.

I like both of them as they are very colorful but my favorite is the first one because the pearl is more my style! It jumps out at you.

Both cards are beautiful, but I like the second one with the ribbon the best. Everything you do is stunning.
I like the one with the accent piece. They are both beautiful!
I love them both! If I were choosing to make one it would be the first because I would be more comfortable with it; but the second really catches the eye. Great work; thanks for sharing. MJ
I like both of them very much but the first one would be more like I would make. It’s very simple, pretty and eye catching.
The second card pops more for me. However when I went to make it my framelits don’t fit the stamp. Did you cut this out? It looks so perfect!
