Welcome to the December 2011 Tour de Freaks Blog Hop! We are so excited to have you join us today.
This month we are featuring products from the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog and the Sale-a-bration Catalog.
Our tour is nice and short and features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers. You may have just come from my fellow freak Mary Brown, you may be one of my blog stalkers or you may have just stumbled here…however you got here, you’ll be very glad you did! Be sure to take the whole tour! Note: If you are arriving here on the 19th, please note that not all links may be working yet. The tour officially begins on the 20th.
First up is a card made with items from the Sweet Shop Product Suite. I started out by stamping the main image from Sweet Cake in Early Espresso onto Whisper White and then cut it out. I cleaned the stamp and stamped it again on Blushing Bride and Poppy Parade in the same ink colors and cut out the cake plate, heart and cherry and paper pieced them onto the main image.
My frosting is done with a technique called Faux Frosting, come back and I will share it with you later this week. The tutorial is done and you can find it HERE.
The Pool Party background piece is created with one of our Brand New Framelits Sets called Labels Collection. It is a set of 6 wafer thin dies and yes, there is a coordinating stamp set. 🙂
I added a piece of Sweet Shop Specialty Designer Series Paper to the bottom and finished the whole thing off with some Lucky Limeade Ruffled ribbon and a brad from the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Pack that you can earn for FREE next month during Sale-a-bration!!
My next two projects use a new product called the Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit. The kit includes sheets of textured die cut flowers in a variety of colors, designs and shapes along with a sheet of pink rhinestones!! They are so much fun, I will be offering my local gals a class using them!! I layered a number of the flowers together and added some circle punches and a knot of Daffodil Delight Ribbon. The main card was run through the Big Shot with a new set of smaller sized Textured Impressions Embossing Folders called Adorning Accents. After I ran the card stock through the Big Shot, I used a sponge dauber and lightly rubbed over the hearts with my Lucky Limeade ink pad. I used my favorite word set called Perfectly Penned for the greeting.
My last project is an elastic bookmark and also uses the Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit. Again, I layered a variety of flowers with a couple of punched images and a bit of Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon. The colors are Rich Razzleberry and Blushing Bride. These are so easy to make!! I will try to get a tutorial together for you after Christmas.
That does it for me, your next stop is fellow freak Deb Currier and I am sure you will love what she has to share.
Thanks for visiting!!!!
