Each year during our Spring Book Fair, we hold a Bingo For Books Event for the students and their families. This year, I was lucky to have some help from a few of our wonderful teachers. I wanted to give them a little something thanking them for their help so I made them each a little Easter Basket out of our Crumb Cake Medium Envelopes.
I ran my SNAIL Adhesive around the whole envleope flap to seal it. The Extra Large Tag punch was used to create the handle. I pushed it in all the way along the edge on a long side and punched. Trim off the remainder and repeat on the other edge. You could also cut in about 1 1/4" from each edge and about 2 1/2" from the top to create a handle. I then ran the basket bottom through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The Happy Easter Greeting and the egg are from the Easter Blessings set, the Easter Wishes greeting is from All Holidays and the bunny is from the retired Eggcoutrements set that I have for sale HERE.
I stamped my greeting and popped my focal point onto a 2 1/2" circle and I added bows made out of Marina Mist 3/8 Taffeta and Marina Mist Satin Ribbon with a Mini Glue Dot to the handle. I have Small Cello Bags filled with Jellybeans in the baskets.
The ladies loved them as much as I loved making and giving them. These would make great May Baskets as well.
The Occasions Mini Catalog is coming to an end April 30th, if there are any must have items on your list, order them ASAP before they are gone.
