February 2011 Control Freaks Blog Tour – It’s My Party!

FreaksmainWelcome to the February 2011 Tour de Freaks Blog Hop! We are so excited to have you join us today.

This month we are featuring Birthday Cards & Projects.   Our tour is nice and short and features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers. You may have just come from my friend LeeAnn Greff's Blog, you may be one of my blog stalkers or you may have just stumbled here…however you got here, you’ll be very glad you did!  Be sure to take the whole tour!  Note:  If you are arriving here on the 19th, please note that not all links may be working yet.  The tour officially begins on February 20th.

Partytrio This is my trio of treats.  I had a blast making these fun projects as I love the bright colors and had my daughter in mind while I was creating them. All projects use Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise.  I have a banner to hang on the wall in the party room, monogram place settings and a fun birthday party invite complete with some Faux Frosting.

Come back here over the next few days and I will elaborate more on each project for you.  We like to keep the tour short and sweet for your convenience so more pictures will be coming.

Partybanner

My Party Banner uses our exclusive Table Setting Bigz XL Die and our Simple Letters Bigz Alphabet set.  I also incorporated our Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack and lots of Brights embellishments.

Placesettings

These adorable place settings would make any party goer smile.  I used the Fun Flowers Bigz Die along with the Scallop Square Clear Bigz Die and Timeless Type Medium Sizzlet Alphabet set to create these.  The Scallop Square was wheeled with the Sweet Stitches Jumbo Wheel in each color and the stacked flowers are extra special with a Hershey's Kiss in the center.

Fauxfrostingoutside My final project is an invitation to this bright fun party.  I used the Fun & Fast Notes set for my main image and the Happy Birthday greeting comes from the Bring on the Cake set.  I added some Faux Frosting to the cake so it looks good enough to eat and my Versamarker adds some "color" to my greeting.  Who wouldn't want to attend a party after receiving this fun invite? 🙂

Freaksnextstop That's it for me, the next stop on the Control Freaks Blog Tour is the super talented Jen Smith.

Thanks for visiting!!!!

  1. Yeah! Another great way to use the Table Setting die! And I love the use of a Hershey Kiss for the centers of your flowers. But, the thing that struck me the most was the Versamarker on the cardstock – I never would have thought to use it that way! Thanks Barb, for great project ideas.
