Welcome to the February 2013 Tour de Freaks Blog Hop! We are so excited to have you join us today.
This month we are showing off some of our Spring Catalog Creations. Our tour is nice and short and features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers. You may have just come from Lisa Martz's blog you may be one of my blog stalkers or you may have just stumbled here…however you got here, you’ll be very glad you did! Be sure to take the whole tour! If you are arriving here on the 19th, please note that not all links may be working yet. The tour officially begins on the 20th.
I decided to do a little work with the Flower Fair Simply Scrappin' Kit shown on page 31. I am not a scrapbooker per say so I used the kit for a couple of cards too. :-) The colors in this kit are so fun and bright and the Designer Series Paper is fabulous!!
The kit includes two sheets of self adhesive die cuts, six 8×8 sheets of Double Sided Designer Series Paper, eight sheets of 8×8 card stock, one yard of each Garden Green (exclusive to the kit) and Regal Rose 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon and eight Daffodil Delight Designer Buttons.
I knew the Regal Rose floral pattern DSP would make a gorgeous dress so I also used the Dress Up Framelits from page 21.

I sort of envisioned this dress in a shop window and thought the lacy scallop pattern from the Delicate Designs Folders would make a great canopy. The greeting comes from the Oh, Hello set on page 4.
My second card uses the other DSP pattern in the kit and it has a bit more white space. I stamped a few butterflies from the Annual Catalog set called Papillion Potpourri and punched them out with the Bitty Butterfly Punch on page 13.

My greeting is a stamp that is included in the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit on page 18 and I layered it on a couple of our Oval Punches. The ribbon and flag are both from the Flower Fair Simply Scrappin' Kit.
I did create an 8×8 scrapbook page but I layered everything on an 8×8 piece of Whisper White card stock.
That does it for me, your next stop is the blog of Cindy Elam and I know you will love what she has to share.
Thanks for visiting!!!!

Great projects! I completely overlooked that kit. 🙂
Sooo very colorful!
Bright … springy … happy! Every single project!! That dress die is gonna HAVE to be on my next order!! Sheesh!! 🙂
Love how you have used the scrappin’ kit to create your projects. It is good to see more uses for it than just scrapbooking. Great job!
I also overlooked the SS kit, and now will order it on my next order. The dress on the first card looks so Spring-y, almost like an Easter dress!
