Finally!!! A Purse!

Purses, I finally made some!!  They are so easy to make even if you have NO sewing ability….that would be me. :-)  I used my Scallop Square die by Stampin' Up! in my Big Shot to make all the pieces.  Did you know that the Big Shot will cut through EIGHT pieces of fabric at once, talk about a time saver.  For more info on the Big Shot and fabric, click HERE

I recently received a sewing maching from a very dear customer…THANKS VESTA!!!!! and that has been wonderful.  I had been struggling with a really old machine that my mom gave me for Christmas about seven years ago.  It was probably 40 years old at that time.

I purchased this fabric at a small quilt shop in St George, UT while on my trip to Founder's Circle this past September.  I purchased a Layer Cake and a Charm Packet.  Here is my first purse….

The fabric is Gobble Gobble by Moda and I used my Charm packet with the Scallop Square die in the Big Shot.  The inside of the bag is the same pattern as the straps.  Since this was my first one, go easy on me as I cut the batting with my Scallop Square die so it shows.  🙂

I have another purse I made last weekend and I will show you that one tomorrow.  I have since been to a local fabric store and have another fabulous pattern and I cannot wait to get my next one done.
