Founder’s Circle 2011 – Day 3

I went on the tour to the Stampin' Up! manufacturing plant in Kanab, Utah and we had a great time!!  We rode a bus for a couple of hours did some Q & A with Shelli and Sara and ate a few snacks.

When we arrived the Kanab employees were lining the parking lot with signs welcoming us.  It was soooo cool!!

Greeting The first thing I had to do when we got to Kanab was use the restroom.  Funny, they had changed the men's into a women's for us.

Then we got to tour the building and see how the stamps are made.  We could not take pics of that but we got to die cut a stamp set and put some sets together.  We all noticed that the set we were putting together wasn't one we had seen before and at the end we got to keep one!!!  WOO HOO, I love FREE stamps.

We then went up to Shelli's apartment and looked around.  It looked the same as it did when I was there four years ago but this time I got a pic with Shelli.

Kelly was amazed at the HUGE kitchen and said that if she had a kitchen like this in her home, she would cook all the time….hint, hint Steve!!

Then it was out to the rock in front of the manufacturing plant so we could have our pictures taken.  Here we are, the Four Musketeers.

We then went to the Jacob Hamblin rubber park.  All the excess rubber that comes off the molds is chopped up and donated to various organizations including the city park.  We had a yummy lunch served in these adorable baskets that we got to keep.

We then went souvenir shopping at Denny's Wigwam and headed back to St. George.  We played some bingo on the bus but I was so tired that I had to take a nap.  Apparently alot of us were falling asleep so they just gave out the prizes!

The night before we had received this gift on our beds and it was an invitation to attend the Little Mermaid at Tuacahn.  Tuachan is an outdoor theatre set against the beautiful red rocks of Southern Utah.  Shelli told us that only other venue that has been granted permission to reproduce the Little Mermaid is Broadway so this was a real treat.  It was absolutely wonderful and we had a great time!!
