Happy New Year!! Painted Poppies Card

Happy New Year everyone!!  Hard to believe another decade is behind us.  I have taken down all the Christmas decorations and am ready to start with a clean slate.  Sale-a-bration starts Friday and if you are wondering what to purchase to get your FREE Sale-a-bration items, let me show yu one of my favorite Product Suite in the Occasions Catalog.

It's called the Peaceful Poppies Suite and it's shown on pages 24-27 in the Occasions Catalog.  I features two bundles (stamps and dies), Designer Series Paper, ribbon, sequins and a fun kit of various elements. 

Here are a couple of cards that use these products. peaceful poppies suite www.barbstamps.comFirst we have one that uses the Designer Series Paper as the focal point.  This gorgeous paper can absolutely be used by itself with a simple sentiment for a stunning card.  The ribbon was colored with the Poppy Parade Stampin' Blend Marker.
Poppy Parade (5 ½ x 8 ½)
Basic Black (1 ¾ x 3 ¾)
Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper (4 x 5 ¼)
Adhere the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper to the card front.
Color the Whisper White ¼ Crinkle Ribbon with the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend and let dry (it dries very quickly). Wrap the ribbon around the card front twice and tie in a bow at the right-hand edge of the card.
Crop a small label from black, rub the Embossing Buddy over it, stamp the sentiment in Versamark, cover with white embossiing powder and set with the Heat Tool.
Adhere the label to the card front to the left-hand side of the bow with Dimensionals.
Add some dots of liquid glue and add the sequins.

Mossy Meadow (5 ½ x 8 ½)
Watercolor Paper – scraps
Whisper White – scraps
Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper (3 x 5 /2")
Carstock Vellum – scraps
Stamp sentiment in Versamark near the bottom of the DSP layer. Cover with white embossing pwder and set with Heat Tool.
Adhere the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper to the card front.
Crop the solid images from watercolor paper. Add color using an aquapanter with Mossy Meadow, Blushing Bride and Blackberry Bliss. Add the colored floral pieces to the card where shown.
Crop detailed images from vellum and white cardstock, add them over the larger flowers.
Crop the flower middles from Blackberry bliss and add where shown.
Finish with a few Frosted Epoxy Droplets.
