Today is the day for my Holiday SAS. Following are the cards that we made. The attending stampers made three each of the four designs for a total of 12 cards. A big thanks to all of you for stamping the images for the three of you who couldn’t attend!!!
This card uses the Punch Pals and Happy Everything sets. It was inspired by a sample shown on the World Card Making Day website under the Stampin’ Up! link. I changed the colors of cardstock. I used Handsome Hunter, Bravo Burgundy and Kraft cardstocks. I am hooked on layering our circle punches on top of the Scallop circle punch with dimensionals. A little Kraft Taffeta ribbon and it is finished.
This was CASE’d from my friend Ann Clemmer. Ann used the snowflake from the hostess set In the Spotlight but I was already using it on another card so I chose one of the smaller snowflakes from The Snowflake Spot set. The flowers are stamped in Real Red, punched out with the 5 Petal Flower punch and layered onto another flower punched out of Real Red cardstock. The strip across the middle has the Sanded background stamp on it and the base of the card is River Rock stamped with Old Olive. The greeting is from a set in the Holiday Mini called Season of Joy.
I used the Paper Piecing technique on this card. The little tree from Merry and Bright was stamped in Always Artichoke on the piece of our Shimmery White as well and some of our Always Artichoke Designer Paper. I cut the tree out of the Designer Paper and glued it over the Shimmery White stamped image. I added a brad to the top of the tree to resemble a star. The border around the tree is from a set called Label Classics. The card uses Mellow Moss as a base and has some Always Artichoke ribbon wrapped around the spine. The greeting is from a set called Many Merry Messages.
This card is one of my favorites. It uses the Jumbo Snow wheel across the top with Brocade Blue. I then stamped the swirls from Priceless in Versamark, covered them with Heat & Stick Powder which was melted with our Heat Tool and then Dazzling Diamonds Glitter was sprinkled over the top and heated again. It is pretty sparkly!!!! I used our 5/8" Brocade Blue Grosgrain Ribbon across the middle. The snowflake is from one of our hostess sets called In the Spotlight and it was punched out using the Snowblossom punch. I mounted it to a circle of Brocade Blue and tied it to the ribbon using our NEW Silver Elastic Cord. The greeting is from a set called All Holidays.
Thanks for looking and have a GREAT day!!!!
Happy Stampin’, Barb
Wow, you have some fantastic Christmas Cards here, love the snow card.
Wow, these are great cards. I especially like the one where you used The Snowflake Spot, and I LOVE the last card. Great idea to have the glittery swirls as part of the background. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
