I needed a 6×6 scrapbook page for one of my clubs this week and I thought it would be fun to make one celebrating Independence Day.
I applied Brilliant Blue Craft ink (I use the spots) to the large chipboard star, poured Iridescent Ice embossing powder over it and heat set it for a super sparkly star. I stamped the star from the Classic Backgrounds set in Real Red Classic Ink and punched it out with the Large Star punch.
I then took a scrap of Whisper White and punched out a small star and then punched the large star around it to get the star with an open middle. I glued this star to the one stamped in red for a bit of dimension. I added mini glue dots to the paper star and adhered it to the large chipboard star and used glue dots again to attach the chipboard star to the page over the Real Red Striped ribbon.
I stamped the small stars from the same set in Real Red Classic ink on my Real Red page. The word "celebrate" was inked in Versamark and embossed with white EP. To finish it off, I mounted my 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 page to a 6×6 mat of Brilliant Blue.
I love this idea for a card (on a smaller scale). The sparkly stars are great for the 4th and the striped ribbon really brings the flag theme together. Awesome.
darling little 6×6 SB page…thanks for sharing! Jan
