Kit Kat Butterflies, another Easter Treat

Another quickie Easter Treat!!  My inspiration came from a treat I made two years ago for my daughter's class that used the retired set Bold Butterfly and Smarties.  I had to cut out all these butterflies….YUCK!!!!!

I didn't have any Smarties this year but I did have the mini Kit Kat candy bars (one of my favorites!!!) and this is what I came up with (no cutting!!!)……..

Of course I used my Big Shot Machine!!  I also used the Beautiful Butterflies die and various Embossing Folders.  I took individual shots so you could see the detail.  You can click on the pictures to see them larger.

My colors are Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink, Orchid Opulence and Tempting Turquoise.  The candy bars are attached with mini glue dots.  After I glued the two butterflies together (only in the middle) and added the candy, I lifted the wings of the small die cut butterfly for some dimension.

I am pretty pleased with these!!!  Thanks for looking and have a GREAT day!!

  1. These are so cute and clever (and what a devoted Mom to cut out all the butterflies in the first pic!) I think I’ll have to sneak a few of these in my kiddos baskets! Wonderful idea!

  2. Barb, these are so cute and would make great birthday party favors for a little girl, too! I will have to see if I can talk one of my nieces into a Butterfly Party. Thanks for sharing, I visit your blog often just haven’t ever commented before. Have a great Easter, Tonya

  4. These are fantastic!! You definately get the “Mom of the Year” award for cutting all the Bold Butterflies out…wow! This is such an ingenious idea, I think I may crank out (pun intended!) a few & take a basketfull to Easter dinner. Thanks so much for sharing!
