Bargello pronounced (bär-zhĕl'ō) is a type of needlepoint embroidery consisting of upright flat stitches laid in a mathematical pattern to create motifs. The name originates from a series of chairs found in the Bargello palace in Florence which have a "flame stitch" pattern.
What a fun technique!! We learned this at a recent Technique Geeks class, learn more about these classes HERE. It works best with striped Designer Series Papers and I have two samples for you. I used the Cottage Garden and A Word For You sets on both samples. The next Technique Geeks class is September 25th at 2:00 pm, contact me to save your seat.
This one was done with the striped pattern from the Lap of Luxury pack. Love the Pink and Purple together!!
This one uses the striped pattern from the Sunny Garden pack. I really like them both and cannot decide which I like better. Which is your favorite?
