Today is the last day of school!!! WOO HOO!!! I knew I was going to make name frames for my kids teachers but I waited until the last minute to do it. I am sure I am the only one who does that!! {wink} I started at 10:30 last night and got to bed around 1:00. 🙂
I can honestly say that my Big Shot Alphabets make this so much easier for me. I just pick out the Designer Series Papers and go from there.
This one was so much fun to make. I started with the Tall Tales Designer Series paper which is on the Last Chance List at 25% off!!! I added her name with my Big Shot Timeless Type Alphabet set. I also did some paper piecing with the cloud behind the Olive balloon and the trees in the bottom left corner. A couple of ribbon knots and I was done. The actualy assembling of this project took less than 15 minutes but the design took alot longer!!!
My daughter's teacher is a man this year and I admit it was a bit of a struggle to come up with something manly. He is also a basketball coach so I wanted to incorporate some basketballs into this one. I punched circles out of Tangerine Tango Textured card stock (this color is returning in the new catalog!!) with my 1 1/4, 1 3/8 and 1 3/4 punches and added the lines with my Basic Black Journaling Marker. The letters are Soft Suede and Crumb Cake (gotta get used to the new name for Kraft). The Designer Series Paper is from the Write Stuff Specialty and it is also retiring.
I hope they like them!!
Love it! I hope to see Mrs. Evers’ name frame in her classroom next year. I have my fingers crossed Cameron will be in her class.
