March 2012 Control Freaks Blog Tour – Spring into Spring!

CFwelcome

Welcome to the March 2012 Tour de Freaks Blog Hop! We are so excited to have you join us today.

This month we are featuring "Spring into Spring" cards and projects with a Spring and/or Easter theme.

Our tour is nice and short and features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers. You may have just come from uber talented Connie Babbert's blog, you may be one of my blog stalkers or you may have just stumbled here…however you got here, you’ll be very glad you did!  Be sure to take the whole tour!  Note:  If you are arriving here on the 19th, please note that not all links may be working yet.  The tour officially begins on the 20th.

Here's a fun and easy treat made with the 1 x 8 Cellophane Bags. I added a couple sleeves of Spring Sixlets (purchased at my local grocery store) to each cello bag.  I punched a flower with the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch and added a small flower to the middle with one of the punches in the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.

I attached the flower with two strands of the ribbon from the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack that is FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration.  I looped them around the treat, brought all ends up through opposite petals in the flower and tied it in a big bow.

SprinklesexpressionscandytreatThe greetings are from Sweetly Said and one of the Exclusive FREE Sale-a-bration sets, Sprinkled Expressions.  The greetings were stamped in Melon Mambo onto pennants from the Petal Cone Bigz Die, cut to size and attached to the cello bag with a Mini Glue Dot.

Next is a pouch treat and from my Easter Fun Camp.  I used Designer Series Papers from the Spring Fever Simply Scrappin' Kit, the Delightful Dozen stamp set and some  Daffodil Delight 1 1/4 Striped Grosgrain Ribbon to decorate it.  The greeting was punched out with the Large Oval and the back piece was done wiith the same punch.  I simply cut it down the middle and attached it to both edges making it look like I have another punch a bit larger.

My last project is a super simple Easter Card created on the Notecards that come with envelopes.  I have had the Furry Folk stamp set since the catalog came out and hadn't used it.  I was looking for bunny stamps and this little guy is so adorable that I had to use him.  The Polka Dot border on the card and envelope is one of three stamps you will find in the Borderlines Stamp Set.

That does it for me, your next stop is the AWESOME LeeAnn Greff and I know you will love what she has to share.

  1. Very cheery projects! I especially like the idea of the “sixlets” for the cello bags. I think I might try that for the treats for my 3 preschool age grand children’s classrooms. It is rather time consuming to fill so many bags with individual M & M’s. These look very festive and I think they would love them. Thanks for sharing.
