I have had the NEW Pop-Up Cake Die for awhile now and it just sits there looking at me. I have been very intimidated by it so I haven't used it.
Last Friday, I needed a really special card for my nephew since I missed his brirthday earlier this month and it had to be really cool.
I knew what I had to do, I got out the NEW Pop-Up Cake Die die, ran it through my Big Shot with some Kiwi Kiss card stock and started putting it together. Well, I was thrilled that it was sooooo easy to do. It literally took me about 8-10 minutes to assemble the thing. It took me alot longer to decorate the front than it took me to put the cake together. It was so easy that I threw another one together for a birthday party my son was invited to later that day and I will show you that one tomorrow (it is for his BFF, a darling little gal in his preschool class).
Here is my very first Pop-Up Cake Die card. I used the adhesive die cuts and designer papers from the Hoppy Memories Simply Scrappin' Kit which made it so easy to decorate. I also used my Big Shot and my Serif Essentials Alphabet set to cut a letter "D" for his initial.
Here is a view of the inside with the cake popped up!!! It is just so cool!!!
Thanks for looking and if you would like to make a Pop-Up Cake card, come to Big Shot Basics Class next month as you will be making one in class. See my calendar over in the left column and call me to reserve your spot 673-4760.
