Swap card?? NOT!!!!

I struggled with this card last Friday for over four hours and finally gave it up!!  Four hours is a lifetime to me and it was just not going to work no matter what I tweaked.  So here is the first draft of my CF swap that will not be used!!  I really wanted to use the new My Way punch and the new Chunky Glitter but it was not meant to be.........

More SAS class photos

Here are the pictures of the girls diligently working on their cards.  I appreciate all the help setting up and cleaning up...thanks!!!

Here we have Angela, JoAnn, Mandy and Lisa practicing their watercoloring skills and they look so serious too!!!

Rhonda, Maryellen and Lynette are sure having a good time, they took my sample and ran with it.....GREAT JOB GIRLS!!!

Lisa, Vickie and Shelta stopped chatting long enough for me to take this photo, just kidding!!!!....... thanks girls. {grin}

Here we have Lisa, Virginia, Vesta, Angela and JoAnn watercoloring.  It was fun checking out what everyone put in the back of the truck and Jennifer (standing in the background, where were you when I was taking all the picutres!!!) even had her dogs driving!!!!

Here are Missi and Julia smiling for me, Missi is the super stamper, she finished first....go Missi!!!!!

Thanks so much girls for a really fun day, I look forward to seeing you soon!!!

SAS class today!!

I had my first stamp-a-stack of the year today and boy was it fun.  The girls were happily stampin' and chattin' for a few hours.

Here are the cards that we made today, we made a total of twelve, three each of each design.

This is a CASE of one done by Rhonda Griffiin, it uses the Tres' Chic background stamp with the Priceless stamp set.

This was alot of fun, I have been practicing my watercoloring skills, am I getting any better!!

This card uses one of the picture hangers from the Hodgepodge Hardware kit.  Stay tuned for the upcoming Occasions mini catalog as I hear rumors of a new color of Hodgepodge coming!!  WOOHOO, NEW Hodgepodge, I cannot wait!!

Allthroughyearguavadiamond Allthroughyearguavestripe

This card uses some of the Groovy Guava Prints Designer Papers, we used three different patterns.  We also used the Versamark pad with some Pastels to color the flower.  I love this color combinatin, we used Groovy Guava, Really Rust and Blush Blossom together, nice to get my Blush Blossom out of the closet once in a while. :-)

Not sure if I can stop using Rub-Ons

OK, this has got to be it for a while.  I have so much new stuff that I need to play with but I just couldn't help creating this project using the Love & Happiness Rub-Ons that are in the SAB mini catalog.

I got this idea while shopping on Monday.  I spotted this coffee mug that looks like a flower pot and thought it would look great with the Chocolate Chip Rub-Ons and some flowers on bamboo skewers.  I used a couple of background stamps for my punchouts so there IS some stamping on this project!!  I used Paisley and Canvas.  I also used the 5-Petal Flower Punch, the Scallop Circle Punch and CHECK OUT THE MIDDLES OF THESE FLOWERS...what is that.....could it be.......IT IS!!!!  A baby scallop!!!!  This little baby scallop is one of the trio of flowers that you get with the NEW Boho Blossoms punch.

I must admit that I am still in the learning stages of applying rub-ons.  As I was applying the butterfly, I got a little carried away and I pushed my stick off the edge of the paper and when I brought it back it pulled a bit and really messed up the top of the butterfly's wing.  Well, considering the fact that I "pay particular attention to detail" (read as, anal) that was not going to fly with me.  I knew I had to fix it.  I found a cute little flower on the sheet of rub-ons and so I carefully scraped off my mistake and very gently rubbed the little flower on.  You can't even tell that I messed up can you??!!!!

Here is a close up of the little flower

So for those of you who think I never mess up, here is the proof!!!

The Sale-A-Bration sets are DIE CUT!!!!

WOO HOO!!!!  I just received my SAB sets and they are all DIE CUT!!!!  This is the best news I have had all day.  When you order your FREE sets next month, don't forget to save the little paper backing that comes with the sets so you can do what I did in THIS post.

If you don't know what SAB is, click on the yellow catalog picture in the left side bar.

Here is a picture of my new stuff!!!

Check back tomorrow to see another, yes I said another, project using the Rub-Ons.  This time I am going to use the Chocolate Chip sheet that is part of a set of Rub-ons that you can get for FREE next month!!

As promised.....more projects using the SU Rub-Ons

More projects using the Stampin' Up! Rub-Ons.

My daughter loves Hello Kitty and when I found this Pink Passion frame at Walmart, I knew she would love it with a picture of her favorite character in it.  The Eastern Elegance Rub-Ons even come with these cute little letters so I could add her name.  She LOVES IT!!!!!

Here is a close up of the rub-ons

I found this little lamp and thought it would be perfect for Rub-Ons.  I used the Eastern Elegance Rub-Ons again (more rub-ons will be here tomorrow!!!!).  This time I used the big black flower right in the middle of this lamp.  Best part about this whole project, the cost....are you ready for this.....$1.80, I am not kidding and this isn't a misprint.  I found these little lamps for $1.80.  They use a nightlight bulb.  I thought it was a bit naked so I wrapped some narrow black grosgrain ribbon around the top and bottom of the shade.

A candle, just your plain ordinary Walmart candle.  I thought it would loook nice with the white Rub-Ons.  What do you think??  Leave me a comment.....please :-)

More Rub-Ons!!

I got out my rub-ons again last night and did a little work on some frames that I have had in my stash.

I got a set of three of these at the Target Dollar Spot a few months ago.  They come with creme ribbon on them but I wanted this one to have red accents.  I used the Eastern Elegance Rub-Ons in the corners and it was so easy!!!

Here are a couple of close-up shots of the corners:

Here is another frame that I have had for at least a year probably longer!!!  I bought it at Walmart and thought it would look great with white rub-ons.  Our packages of Rub-Ons come with a sheet of white and a sheet of black.

Don't miss the Sale-A-Bration Mini Catalog as there are Rub-Ons in it that you can get for FREE!!!!!  They come four sheets in a pack, one each of Black, White, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip.  You can view the SAB mini catalog HERE

I could not get a good picture of this frame no matter what I tried so I apologize for the photos. :-)

I used the Eastern Elegance Rub-Ons again.  I wanted the phrase "The Sweetest Thing" to read "The Sweetest ThingS" with an "S" on the end so I cut the "S" out of the phrase "make a wish" and added it after I rubbed on the main image.

Here is a close up of that:

Rubonstriojustis COOL HUH!!!

I then cut apart the little flower images so I could use them a bit differently to get them to fit. Here are those photos:

This flower should have the leaves that are in the bottom right corner in the above picture.  I cut that apart image and used the images separately.  RUB-ONS ROCK!!!!!

There are a few more items using Rub-Ons in THIS POST

Tune in tomorrow as I went shopping for more items to "RUB-ON" this morning!!!
