More Gift Tags in a Bag!!

Yesterday I showed you my Christmas Tags in a Bag.  I also made a set for birthday's and a new baby.

I used the Spotlight on Christmas set again and the star image is perfect for a birthday gift.  The greeting is from On Your Birthday.  I used Whisper White and Baja Breeze textured card stock with a little striped Baja Breeze Ribbon.  The Star and 1 3/4 Circle Punches are perfect for this!!

For this set, I used the Nursery Necessities, Big Bold Birthday (dotted background) and Hugs & Wishes sets.  The cardstock is Whisper White and Basic Gray textured.  I stamped the little sailboats in Pink Pirouette and tied the package closed with some of the yummy 1 1/4" Pink Pirouette grosgrain.

These are soooooo easy to create so I am sure I will be boring you with some more in the coming days. :-)

Happy Stampin' !!!

Holiday Gift tags in a bag!

We made Tags in a Bag at the Founder's Circle retreat I attended in September and as I was rumaging through a bunch of stuff yesterday, I came across them.

I thought that this idea would be perfect for Christmas so I made a set using the Spotlight on Christmas set. This set is AWESOME as all the images can be punched out using our punches!!  WOO HOO!!  I {heart} punches :-)

I used the small cello bags and a piece of Very Vanilla that is 3x5 and stamped a Merry Christmas image from the Holidays & Wishes set in Riding Hood Red.  I stamped the starry swirl from Spotlight on Christmas in Kiwi Kiss.  The tags are 2x4 strips of textured Riding Hood Red folded in half to make the tags.  I used the 1 3/4 circle punch to mat the poinsettia image which was stamped in Riding Hood Red and punched out with the 5 Petal Flower punch.  I added a mini glue dot to the middle of the poinsettias and smooshed them in our Green Bead Duos.  Put it all in a small cello bag and punched a hole through the bag and card stock with the Word Window Punch.  **TIP - Punch this quickly as it can stick on the cello bag and not punch completely.  The Riding Hood Red/Very Vanilla Ribbon finshes it all off.

Stay tuned as I will be posting a couple more Tags in a Bag sets tomorrow!!

Happy Stampin'  Barbtreesiggy

5 minute card...really!!!

I have had this idea in my head for a few weeks and I am sure it has been inspired by other cards I have seen. :-)

In the middle of prepping for my class today, I just had to whip it up!!  The base is Riding Hood Red, a strip of Kiwi Kiss and some of the yummy Alpine Ribbon Originals.  The reindeer was punched out using the Designer Label Punch and I placed him inside a piece from my Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware Kit.

The greeting is from Many Merry Messages!!

The Holiday Extravaganza is still on so email your orders to me ASAP as the bundles are going fast!!!

Holiday Gift Tags using Punches!!

**Don't forget, the SUPER HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA sale will be posted here just after midnight tonight!!  There may be a few random specials offered by me in additon to the one Stampin' Up! is offering so you will need to come back here every day!!!

When I saw these gift tags, I had to make them!!!  Who wouldn't love getting a package with one of these little cuties on it!

Stampin' Up! has outlines on our demo website that are shared by other demonstrators.  This class was shared by Mercedes W and I just loved it.  I did change a few little things but these are pretty much CASE'd from her outline.

Here are the close-ups

I added rows of glittery snowy ice for him to stand on.

Mercedes used the oval punches for his antlers but I purchased this little die for my Big Shot a couple of months ago after seeing it used for antlers.  Don't you just love his antlers!!

Her Santa is super cute and I didn't change a thing!!  My greeting was done by inking up the "Ho" in Holidays on a stamp in my Many Merry Messages stamp set with a marker.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to create the flowing ho, ho, ho's in a wavy pattern.

Changed the greeting on this snowman and used a marker instead of teeny tiny circles for his eyes and mouth.

Stampin' Up! Holiday Extravaganza!!

**Holiday Extravaganza starts on Wednesday and I am giving away TONS OF PRIZES. There will be discounts of 20-50% on specials bundles so make sure to check back here bright & early Wednesday morning.  I will send out a special newsletter so if you want to be "in the know", sign up to receive my newsletters in the left column.

More with the Holiday Collection Kit

I got my kit out again yesterday and these are the two things I came up with.  They are both package tags.

I covered the front of the chipboard with the die cut paper that comes in the kit.  I added adhesive to the back and placed my piece of chipboard on the designer paper that is not die cut.  Then I used my paper snips to cut around the chipboard, a little sanding with my sanding block and it looks GREAT on both sides!!  I stamped the greeting on a strip of Whisper White and used my Photo Corner Punch on the ends, see THIS POST on how to do this.  I also added a bit of glitter.  The Rhinestone brad is a clear and comes in this kit but it appears a little orange in the picture.

Here is another package tag.  This one was soooooo simple!!  I punched out the paper and chipboard.  I stamped the snowflake and "to, from" with the Riding Hood Red spot that comes in the kit.  A bit of glitter on the snowflakes....WOO HOO!!!  Adhere everything together, add a hole with the Crop-A-Dile and string some silver cord.  Done!!

A Happy Heart

This was my Control Freaks swap for the Holiday Mini Catalog.  It uses A Happy Heart

I stamped the image in Versamark on Whisper White and embossed with white embossing powder.  I used sponge daubers to add color to the heart using Pretty in Pink and Bravo Burgundy ink.  I cut the heart out and adhered it to my Pretty in Pink mat and then to a Whisper White mat.  I wrapped the wide Bravo Burgundy ribbon around it and layered that onto my card.  The base was stamped with the Paisley background stamp in Burgundy ink on Burgundy card stock.

Leave me a comment telling me what you think of this card. :-)

Felt Flurries, Build-A-Brads, and Rub-Ons

I had some scraps of the Ski Slope paper out and this card just popped into my head.  I stamped the ribbon with the small snowflake from the Snowburst set and added a Build-A-Brad to the center of the Felt Flurrie.  The greeting is from the Chit Chat rub-ons set.  All rub-ons are on sale this month for 20% off with any $20 purchase!!!

Faux Icicles

This is one of the cards that we made at my November techniques class.  The technique is called faux icicles

You start by squirting a line of crystal effects on a piece of waxed paper.  Go back to the beginning of the line and add a bit more while dragging the CE down to look like icicles.  Pour Dazzling Diamonds Glitter over the whole line. - side note - Dazzling Diamonds is by far the absolute best glitter out there so you will NEED some of this for your holiday projects - Wait a bit before pouring the excess glitter back into your container as you don't want the icicles to run.

I allow mine to dry over night and then you carefully peel it off the waxed paper.  It is pliable but it will break if you aren't careful.  I added it to my project with our Mono Multi adhesive.

The snowflake is a scrap piece of Real Red textured card stock punched with our Snowburst punch and I added a clear rhinestone brad from the Pretties Kit to the middle.

Have your ordered your Holiday Collection Stampin' Kit yet?  If not, I would love it if you ordered it from me,

Holiday Ornament with the Holiday Collection Stampin' Kit

I created this ornament with the Holiday Collection Stampin' Kit.  To check out the contents of the kit, click HERE.  The star appears to be suspended in the middle of the circle.

This kit has everything and it is so easy to use.  Even the kiddos can complete the projects.  All you need to do is punch the designs from the die cut paper and glue them to the chipboard pieces.  There are enough die cuts in the kit to cover both sides of the chipboard pieces.

The striped star was made by stamping the star image in the stamp set onto the designer paper with Versamark.  I then covered the image with Heat & Stick Powder, heat set it and then added the Dazzling Diamonds glitter that comes in the kit.  The image fits in our large star punch and I used a bit of the Tombow included in the kit to adhere it to the large chipboard star.

Big Shot Gift Card or Money Holders

I thought this was the cutest thing!!  It is a gift card or money holder!!

MerrybrightGCout SpotlightonchristmasGCin

You take a half sheet of card stock and lay it over your Scallop Circle die leaving a few scallops uncovered at the fold and run it through your Big Shot.  Here are some photos to show you what I mean.  Sorry about the quality, the sun isn't up yet so I can't get a decent picture. :-)  I placed this very Vanilla scallop over the die as a reference only since the die is all black.

Cut a piece of card stock in half and fold it.  Place the fold on your Scallop die leaving a few scallops uncovered, I left four uncovered.

Run it through your Big Shot Machine to create an adorable scalloped card.

I also added a scalloped strip of Designer Series paper to the inside to hold the gift card or money.  Decorate it as desired and it will fit in our Medium envelopes.  Here I used Bellas Bloom set and the Bella's Border wheel with the Bella Rose Designer Series paper.  The holes for the ribbon are punched with the Horizontal Slot Punch, lengthening the hole to accomodate the wider ribbons

Have fun making these adorable cards!!!!

Snowman Soup without the Soup

I really wanted to use the Pillow Box die to make Snowman Soup but I just couldn't get the cocoa to fit.  So I thought, does it really need the cocoa?? NOPE, it is just adorable just the way it is!!!

I used my Punch Pals set and colored the snowman with my markers.  I then punched the  snowman out using my 1 1/4 circle punch and layered it on a 1 3/8 circle and scallop circle of textured card stocks.  The finishing touch is some of our Striped Grosgrain.  You can purchase a two yard sampling of each of the colors of this ribbon for only $7.50.  Click HERE to see all my ribbon and paper splits.

Another "Jingle all the Way" project

This idea popped into my head as I was running errands the other day.  I came home and did it right away!!

It is a coaster!!  I inked the edges with my Encore Gold ink pad, poured Gold Embossing Powder over it and heat set it in the oven.  After it cooled, I added the Jingle All the Way Decor Element.....Easy Peasy!!

The tile is about 4 x 4 and I found them at Home Depot.  I used the small red "Jingle All The Way" Decor Element from the Decor Elements Catalog.  This project cost me about $4

I am going to get a few more of these little Decor Elements and make a set of coasters for my aunt for Christmas, she will love them!!!!

What else can I do with my Decor Elements??  Stay Tuned!!!!

Decor Elements frame - Jingle All the Way

I purchased a couple of these "Jingle All the Way" Decor Elements because they are just so cute.  This is the small size and I made two projects with them yesterday.

The first is a piece of framed art. I purchased the frame at Walmart for $2.  I couldn't get a decent picture of it due to the glare off the glass.

I placed my Jingle All the Way on the front of the glass near the bottom.  I took a piece of Holiday Treasures Designer Series Paper and cut it to fit in the frame.  The scalloped Real Red Textured card stock is wrapped with the wide Old Olive Grosgrain.  I used my Holiday Trinkets set and stamped the tree for the accent in the top right.  A few of our buttons finishes it off.  Can you believe this adorable project only cost me about $6!!!

I will post my other project tomorrow, stay tuned.

Congrats to the following gals who earned a FREE stamp set from my stash just by placing orders yesterday:

Magdalena - Older & Wiser

Joan - Deer Friends

Georgia - Just Jawing

Another Money Holder and FREE stamps for you!!!

Here is the second money holder that I created the other day.

I used the Ski Slope paper again and this time added a greeting from the Curly Punch Bundle.  The mat behind the greeting was created by punching two Curly Labels from Chocolate Chip card stock, cutting them in half (one vertically and one horizontally) and adhering all four pieces to the back of the stamped greeting.  My Baja Breeze Ribbon finishes it off.  The dimensions of this money holder are 9 1/4 x 6 1/2 and I scored it at 3 and 6 1/4.

Here is the inside

I added a Fire Circle Rhinestone Brad to the middle of a Little Felt Flurrie as I felt it needed something inside. :-)
