A Sticky Cuts class reject

This is one of the projects that I came up with for my Sticky Cuts class that didn't make the cut.  This one uses the Flock Together DSP and the Really Retro stamp set.  I used the fine glitter from the Galaxy Glitter set and added a Build-A-Brad to the center of the flower.

The colors are So Saffron, Garden Green, Tempting Turquoise and Certainly Celery.  I really like the card but I liked the other four projects better. :-)

I will be offering this class again in May so stay tuned for the date.

You can see my other projects HERE and HERE.

Thanks for looking!!

Last two projects from my Sticky Cuts Class

I posted the other two projects HERE.

The gals had a blast at my Sticky Cuts class this weekend.  I am going to add another session of this class in May so stay tuned for the date.

This is a bookmark and the stem is from Live Your Dream.  We placed two flower stickies at the top of the stem and covered them with different colors of glitter from the Supernova, Cosmo and Galaxy Fine glitter sets.

This project uses the Beautiful Butterflies die and the Big Shot to cut images out of card stock and the Sticky Pages.  We used the Great Friend set out of the Occasions Mini Catalog for the stamping.

We had so much fun, I hope you can join us next time!!!!

Lookie at what I did to my "aloha" necklace!!

We were given numerous pillow gifts during my Stampin' Up! trip to Hawaii and this cute little box was on my bed when I returned from the Luau on our last night.

This was inside.

Aloha

I love this necklace and this morning while I was working, a revelation came to me!!  The necklace is flat on the other side and would look super cute with our Summer Love rub-ons

Super Cool Bookmark!!

I just received my Controlfreaks swaps and they are all just AWESOME!!!  This one in particular caught my eye.  It is a bookmark made by Yvette and I just had to know how to make it.  She used the Walk in the Park DSP and the Soft Summer stamp set, both in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  Purchase any combination of products from the Occasions Mini Catalog totaling $40 and you can choose a FREEBIE from page 208 in the big catalog.

Yvettebookmark

Here it is in a book.  The closest book I had was a Mercy Watson.....my daughter loves these books!!!

Yvettebookmarkinbook

I took it apart, made another one and photographed the steps so I could make this tutorial for you becuase I know you will want to know how to make one!!!

Start with a 3x3 square of cardstock.  Place it in your paper cutter and score a small notch at 1 1/2 on three sides.  I drew in the pencil marks so you would have a visual of what was coming in the next step.

1

Then score from notch to notch to form a triangle

2

Fold these flaps down

3

I used the eyelet border punch to create the edge and then I did the same thing to a 3/4" scrap strip of Cameo Coral. I purposely made the strip longer than needed so I would have an easy time lining the pieces up.  Adhere the two together and trim off the excess.

4

If you want to add a piece of ribbon, now is the time to do it.

5

I cut my ribbon to a point so it would fit in the space better.

5close

Decorate the front as desired.  I used my Big Shot and the Birds & Blooms die with some textured cardstock to create the flower, I used the Buttons die for the flower middle and the Little Leaves die for the leaves.  The DSP is our new DSP called Walk in the Park and you can find it on page 9 of the Occasions Mini catalog.

Front

Turn it over and place a piece of scotch tape over the flaps to keep them closed.  The tape is hard to see in the photo.

7

Cut another piece of card stock to 2 1/16 x 2 1/16 and cut in half on the diagonal

6

Adhere one of these triangles over the area where the two flaps meet to create a more finished look on the back.

8

Create a card front to slip it onto and give it to someone special. {smile}  I used some more Walk in the Park DSP and the New Oval All set with the coordinating Scallop Oval Punch

Ovalallbookmark

Here it is in action!!!!

9

I decided to make another one as they are just so darn easy!!!  This one uses the Urban Garden and Walk in the Park DSP.  It also uses a tag on the Matchbox die and a stamp from the Matchbox Messages stamp set.

Have fun making these, they are addicting!!!

Sticky Cuts Class this weekend

I have my Sticky Cuts class this weekend, both Friday night and Saturday afternoon.  Each attendee will receive a full set of the Sticky Cuts Sweet and a sheet of the Sticky Pages.  Here are two of the projects the gals will be making.

The first is a scallop card.  The big scallop was made with the Scallop Circle die and my Big Shot.  I applied the flower and leaf Sticky Cut to Almost Amethyst and Certainly Celery card stock and then cut them out.  I peeled off the protective layer and smooshed the pieces into our clear Micro Beads.  The center of the flower is one of our NEW large grommets...pretty cool huh!!!  My initial was also cut with my Big Shot and our Serif Essentials Alphabet set.

Scallopbeads

Here is a side view so you can see the dimension.  The DSP is from the Tea Party pack and both of the circles were done with my Circle Scissor Plus.......love that tool!!

Beadssideview

A close up of the beads.....I love this!!  I hope the gals will too. :-)

Closebeads

Here is another project they will be making, this one uses a Sticky Heart and our pink Chunky glitter from the Chunky Sprinkles set.  I applied the sticky heart to the 1 3/4" circle, removed the protective layer and smooshed it in the glitter.  I added a little Basic Gray around the edges to help it pop.  The greeting is from the NEW set called Oval All and the NEW Scallop Oval Punch.....more punches, I can never get enough!!  I ran the Pretty in Pink strip through the Big Shot with one of my Texturz Plates.

I will post the other two projects tomorrow.

Thanks for looking!!
