Medallion and Mini Scrapbooks - part 2

Happy Tuesday to you!!!  Here are the last two projects that I made using the Medallion stamp this past weekend.  Click HERE to see the other samples.

I think this one is my favorite.  I used Soft Suede and Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink and a Sponge Dauber.  I pounced my dauber in my ink pad and then onto my stamp.  The image in the center is from the Charming stamp set on page 32 of the Holiday Mini.  I flipped the Soft Suede Polka Dot Ribbon around so it is plain.

You can see my other two samples with this stamp HERE.

This one was done by first using the Brayer to roll Apricot Appeal ink onto the entire stamp and then using the Sponge Dauber to add the Real Red. Since I was essentially "mixing" the two colors by pouncing the Real Red over the Apricot Appeal, I was left with a soft orangey color.  It is pretty nifty.

So there you have it a few ways to create a mottled look to this AWESOME Medallion stamp.  Don't have yours yet?  You need it!!!  Place your orders HERE in my online store and don't forget to check out the Deal of the Week and the Clearance Rack while you are there.

Also, all Online Orders of $45 will receive two FREE bookmark kits through October 31st.  Email me after you place your order and let me know if you would like girlie, boyish or holiday in your kit.  I will also need to know what initials you would like.

Medallion and Mini Scrapbooks

I was trying to come up with a project for an upcoming class using the Medallion stamp and I thought a mini scrapbook would be fun.  I used different sponges and the Brayer to create the different looks.

This was my first attempt and I am not completely pleased with how it turned out.  I used Sponge Daubers and dabbed the color onto my stamp, huffed on it and stamped.  I used Pretty in Pink and Melon Mambo.

This one used the same technique but I tried to be a little more random and I do like it better. :-)  I used Dusty Durango and Crushed Curry on this one.

The front and back covers of this mini album measure 7 1/4 x 5 1/2 and there are Clear Envelopes inside.  I used the Lovely Letters Alphabet for the initials that are layered on the Circle Punches

Stop by tomorrow to see two more samples with this stamp.  I need to photograph and edit them first. :-)

Halloween Box #2

I made this Halloween Box at Marla's party this morning from the Box #2 Big Shot XL die.   I also used the Haunting Wheel, Night & Day DSP (Black Polka Dot Window Sheet), Eat, Drink & Be Scary stamp set, Tag Punches, and 5/8" Black Grosgrain Ribbon and Pumpkin Pie Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

The Wide Oval Punch was used to make the window in the front.  This box is so stinkin' cute, it will make a great treat holder for Christmas as well as Valentine's Day.

Have a GREAT rest of your weekend!!!

Wandering Words for the Holidays

I just love this set in the Holiday Mini Catalog, it is called Wandering Words and you will find it on page 16.  I created a "snowhill" by taking the Cutter Kit Cutting Blade and running it along a piece of copy paper in a wavy pattern.  I punched a 1 3/8 circle from a post it note and placed it in the top right corner with Dotto and then I used my "snowhill" to mask the bottom portion of my Top Note.  I sponged Brocade Blue all over the exposed portion of the Top Note.  I removed the masks and stamped my image in Night of Navy ink.  I added a Jumbo Pewter Eyelet with the Crop-A-Dile and tied a piece of Mistletoe Ribbon Originals with some Linen Thread.  My card layers are Night of Navy and Real Red.

I have a card using the leaves stamp in this set and you can click HERE to see that one.

Pinwheel cards!!

I just love these cards, they are so easy to make and could be done with any Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers for any holiday or occasion.  We did this card as a make & take at Sue's workshop this past weekend and it was a HUGE hit.

This one uses the Autumn Traditions DSP and the Autumn Days and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets.  If you don't already own Teeny Tiny Wishes 115370, you NEED it!!  It has greetings for any occasion and they all fit in our Word Window Punch.

Here is another card I created with the Teeny Tiny Wishes set using the Cast A Spell DSP and the Perfect Details Texturz Plate for the Big Shot.

I have a video showing you how easy it is to make Pinwheel Cards in my VIDEO GALLERY.

Mommy & Me Build-A-Bear Class

We had so much fun last Saturday at my Mommy & Me Buld-A-Bear class that I will be offering it again!!

The girls made these projects and they did a great job and had a blast!  The Santa on the tin was done with our NEW Build-A-Bear Big Shot dies.  We used the Stampin' Up! Bear and the Stampin' Up! Beary Merry dies.  The bear was run through the machine on a magnet sheet.  The inside of the tin has pull out pages that can be used as a scrapbook or a journal.

Pawsitivelybookmark They also made a bookmark and this was the biggest hit with them.  My daughter was so excited that she made a few more after class, a little perk of being the daughter of the teacher. {wink}

We used the Two Tags Bigz die for the bookmark shape and the Melon Mambo Prints DSP.  The little bear is an Embosslit called Pawsitively and he has Rich Razzleberry eyes and ears.  His little heart is a piece on the embosslit.

An initial done with our FABULOUS Timeless Type Medium Sizzlit set finishes it off.  Here are the rest of the bookmarks I have made and remember you can get FREE bookmark kits this month by placing an online order of $45 or more.

Our final project was this greeting card.  We used the Beary Best Friends along with Beary Nice Wishes.  The DSP is Tea Party.  I had the girls use our Watercolor Pencils with Blender Pens.  I don't use these pencils enough.  They blend so smoothly and are really easy to use.  If you don't have our Watercolor Pencils, you NEED them. :-)

I will be offering this class again so stay tuned for my 2010 class schedule.

A Bit of Christmas Fun and FREE bookmark kits

I was playing around in the stamp room and my Petal Card die was out because we had been making Halloween Treats with my Big Shot (see them HERE). I remembered a box that my friend Dawn had done a while ago and I thought it would make a great little Christmas Gift box.  Cut four Petal Cards with your Big Shot and glue them together in a row.  Fold up the ends and you have a little box.

I had already made the card so the Christmas Cocoa DSP was sitting out and I think it looks great on the panels of the box.  The box also has a window in it that is covered with a Medium Window Sheet.  The Simple Snowflake single stamp from the Under $10 section on page 208 is stamped in Soft Suede and punched out with the Jumbo Snowflake Punch.

The bookmark is similar to the ones in THIS POST but with a Christmas theme.  Get a FREE KIT to make two bookmarks, click HERE for the details.  The bookmark also uses the Christmas Cocoa DSP, Simple Snowflake stamp and the Jumbo Snowflake Punch.  These would make wonderful little extras to include with your gifts this holiday season.  Here are the closeups of the projects.

How about a One Eyed Santa Monster!

As I was cooking dinner last night, this idea popped into my head so dinner had to wait as I needed to race down to my stamp room and whip this up.  I think it's the stinkin' cutest thing!!!  I have seen these little darlings for Halloween but not for Christmas so I just may have had a semi-original thought!!!  WOO HOO!!! I think you saw it first here!!!

I used the Beary Merry Build-A-Bear Bigz die for his cute little Santa hat

These little one eyed monsters are so darned cute and the best part is the Peppermint Patty he is hiding between the scallops!!!!  You can check out my Halloween Monsters in THIS POST  and I have a tutorial on my blog HERE to make these medallions out of the Scallop Circle Punch.

What you need to make these:
Scallop Circle Punch
Word Window Punch
