Holiday Treats with toppers using the Top Note die

Here are some treats I made for a craft fair I participated in last week.  They were so fun to make, I think I will make some more!!

Topnoteminicandybartreats
I used the Big Shot and the Top Note die for the topper over my Small Cello Bag.  The colors I used were Real Red, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and Garden Green.  The snowflakes were punched out of Shimmery White card stock using the Jumbo Snowflake Punch and the images were stamped in Versamark and embossed with White Embossing Powder.

I added mini Kit Kats and Hershey's Miniatures to the Small Cello Bags.

Today is the last day that you can take advantage of my Cyber Monday special as well as the Holiday Extravaganza Sale offered by Stampin' Up!  You can combine both specials.

Thanks for looking!!!

Video - Making Snowflakes with Soda or Pop Cans, the Snowflake die and the Big Shot

Here is my video showing you how to cut apart the soda can with our Craft & Rubber Scissors # 103179 $19.95 and run the metal through the Big Shot with the Snowflake #2 die to create really cool snowflakes.  Please be careful when cutting the can as the edges are VERY sharp.  After you run it through the Big Shot, the edges are fine.

Comments are always appreciated. :-)

Try using different soda cans.  The results are sometimes very suprising!!  I used seven different cans in this video and I have to say the Diet Mountain Dew is really cool!! Coke cans are really neat too, try the Diet Coke and the Diet Caffeine Free.

Thanks for looking!!

The rest of the projects, Gift Card Tin, Money Holder and Package Tags

Tomorrow is the last day to take advantage of my Cyber Monday Special and the Holiday Extravaganza Sale.  You can combine both specials!!

Here are the rest of the Projects that we created at Friday's class.  I will start out by showing you close up shots of the bags shown HERE.

Kraftbag09 Kraftbag09close
This was a plain Kraft gift bag and we wheeled the Bold Snowflake wheel with white and added the focal point using the Oval Scallop Frame Bigz die and the Big Shot.  We used Real Red and Chocolate Chip card stock.  The main image was stamped once in Real Red and once in Old Olive.  The red image was cut and popped up on the Old Olive image.  We added the Vanilla Hodgepodge frame.

Christmascocoabag

Christmascocoabagivy
Each of these bags were made with two sheets of the Christmas Cocoa Designer Series paper so each person had a different pattern.  I added a Scallop Edge border to the top one and the Eyelet Border to the one on the bottom.  The top one has punched out Jumbo Snowflakes and the bottom one uses the Delightful Decorations stamp set and the Ornament punch.

Lovelyasatreemoneyholder Lovelyasatreemoneyholderin

A money holder for those nieces and nephews that I have no idea what to buy!!!  The tree is from the ever popular and still-in-the-catalog set called Lovely as a Tree.  I inked it up in Handsome Hunter and added some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to it with my Two Way Glue pen.  The greeting is from a hidden set in the catalog called Christmas Greetings shown on page 28 and again in the back on page 175.  It is a two piece set and it is only $10.95.  The strip of Designer Series Paper is from the Nouveau Chic pack, not the most holiday themed paper but it worked beautifully for this project.  I added some White Organdy and Sage Shadow ribbons and the White Large Grommet finishes it off.  The dimensions are 8 1/2 x 7, score on the long side at 2 and 5 1/4.

Twotags09

Two gift tags.  The white one was done with the Two Tags Bigz die and the Sweet Season stamp set.  The strip of Designer Series Paper is from the Merry Moments pack.  The Olive Taffeta ribbon is from the Mistletoe Ribbon Originals in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

The Merry tag is done with the Merry Embosslit also in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I sponged a bit of Brocade Blue ink over the raised "merry" to make it pop.  The snowflakes are from the level 2 hostess set called Christmas Punch.  A bit of Elastic Silver Cord finished it off.

And the final project...uses a Peach Fresca Can!!!!!  Congratulations to Angela R who was the first commenter and was absolutely correct and Patti as my random winner, you did not have to be right to win. :-)  You will both receive a couple of these die cut snowflakes from Soda Cans.

This is a Gift Card Tin.  These Skinny Tins are perfect to hold gift cards and are on the Clearance Rack for only .99 cents, you can't beat that price!!

Giftcardtin09

Giftcardtin09in

We started by stamping the triple poinsettia image from Punch Pals in Versamark on the front of the tin, cover it with Silver Embossing powder and heat set.  The inside panels are Taken with Teal, a piece of the Holiday Lounge Designer Series paper holds the gift card .

I have a video HERE showing how I cut the pop can with our Craft & Rubber Scissors and ran it through the Big Shot with the Snowflake die.  I hope you enjoy it!!

Some Christmas Cards for you

I have received Christmas Cards in some recent swaps I have participated in and wanted to share some of them with you.

Autumndays

This one was a swap my friend Kay received at convention and I did not take note of who stamped it but I really like it.  It uses the Autumn Days stamp set with Ruby Red, Garden Green and Sahara Sand

Snowglobe

This is a swap I received at Founder's Circle.  I loaned it to a friend so she could make them as her Christmas Card.  It uses Bermuda Bay as the base and the "snowglobe" is done with our Snowfall Window Sheets.  The penguin in from the set called Punch Pals

Dasher

Another Founder's Circle Swap using the enormously popular single stamp called Dasher and the Four the Holidays Greeting Set.  The background paper is from the Christmas Cocoa DSP pack.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Winter Post with the Sepia Technique

Here is a card I demonstrated at Vicki's party last month.  It uses the stamp set called Winter Post and the Sepia Technique.

Winterpostsepia

I stamped the snowflake in Versamark on the Kraft cardstock for the background.  The skaters were stamped in Basic Brown so they wouldn't bleed when I colored them in with my Vanilla Craft ink refill.  I used the Scallop Edge Punch on the Chocolate Chip mat and it is on the Online Extravaganza Sale list for only $11.17.

Winterpostcloseglitter

I spritzed the whole thing with my Champagne Shimmer Paint Spray for a really glittery effect.

Technique Geeks class

Last Saturday, we had another Technique Geeks class in the Stampin' Studio and one of the techniques we learned is Blended Crayons.

Blendedcrayonscard

I really like how this turned out.  I know I should be doing Christmas stuff right now but as I was choosing my colors for this project last week, the sun was shining, the sky was blue and I was in a Bold Brights kind of mood!!!

I used the Bold Brights Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Green Galore, Yo Yo Yellow, Lavendar Lace and Confetti White card stocks, Chocolate Chip and Lavender Lace inks, an Aquapainter, the Big Shot and the Beautiful Butterflies die, the Very Vanilla Taffeta and the Regal Rose Wide Grosgrain.

I have so much to do for the Holiday Bazaar craft show this weekend so I may not post much in the next few days.  If you are in the Sheridan, Wyoming area, stop by the Holiday Inn from 9-4 Saturday and say "Hi".

Have a GREAT weekend!!!

Decor Stencil Class

I had my second Decor Stencil class last Friday and in addition to the projects that the gals made, I had this sample out for them to see.  I saw it on Julie's blog and knew I had to make one!!  It uses one of the stencils in the Vintage Ornaments I set with stencil paste on one of our Magnetic Gift Boxes from the Holiday Mini catalog.  The greeting is from the Four the Holidays set also in the mini.

Vintageornamentmagnetbox

The gals used the small Kind Thoughts Decor Stencil and stencil paste to create these two gorgeous gift items.  Here is the tile:

Kindthoughtstile1

We used the Charming stamp set on the tag along with Chocolate Chip and Bordering Blue Classic inks.

Here is our journal/mini scrapbook

Kindthoughtsbook

Marla had a special request for her tile.  Her bathroom is black and white and she needed a splash of color in there so she did her tile in red, I bet it will look great in her bathroom.

Berry Christmas and the Box #2

Here is a darling little box done with the Berry Christmas set from the Holiday Mini and the Box #2 Big Shot die.

Box2holidaybird1
I used Real Red for the box and punched a window using the Scallop Oval Punch.  I put a piece of the Snowfall Window Sheets behind it.  I randomly stamped the poinsettia image in Real Red all over the box before assembling it.  The tab was glued with Tombow Mono Multi Adhesive and this is my favorite adhesive for assembling boxes.

The leaf and branch image was stamped in Old Olive and punched out with the Small Tag Punch and layered on an a piece of Old Olive punched with the Large Tag Punch.  The little bird is cut from the Merry Details Sizzlit with the Big Shot and I added a Real Red Brad to the tag.  Filled it with varoius Holdiay Hersheys Kisses (the peppermint ones are my favorite!!) and wrapped  the whole thing with the Old Olive Striped Grosgrain.  This is just the stinkin' cutest thing if I do say so myself!!!

Weekend Stamp Camp - part 2

Here are the four projects we made at Saturdays Stamp Camp, click on any of the photos to see the project larger:

Joybannerbarb

The most popular project was this JOY Wall Hanging, see it with the letters done in gold glitter HERE, wowsers.  We used the Big Shot, Serif Essentials Alphabet, Scallop Square and the Merry Details dies.  I have kits available for purchase to make this all month HERE.

Novstampcampmagnets

We also made magnets from 2x2 tumbled tiles.  I love these little things, I am a refrigerator magnet freak!!  We used Berry Christmas, Winter Post, Charming and various other holiday themed sets that I had.  The girls got to make their magnets however they wanted.

Manymerrymessagesvotiveboat

This is based on a project that I made three years ago  I think it is called a votive boat.  It covers a votive candle but the light from the candle flickers through the vellum.  I use those little battery powered tealights just to be safe. :-)  They are really cool when there is low light.  We used Serene Snowflakes and Many Merry Messages for this one.  Notice the criss cross of the Silver Elastic Cord to "sew" up the sides.

Glitterornaments

Our final project was a glitter ornament.  These are so fun and incredibly easy to make.  The one in the front was one I did last year.  I used Tempting Turquoise ink and a rub-on from a set that was available last year.  There is a really cool rub-on set called Word Flurries in the Clearance Rack section of my online store HERE  The other colors I used were Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo.  They are just gorgeous in real life!!

Thanks for the visit!!

Weekend Stamp Camp

I was busy, busy, busy this weekend, I had two workshops, a stamp-a-stack and a stamp camp.  I thought I would start with some photos of my stamp camp.  The gals made four projects but the fave was this JOY Wall Hanging.  I originally designed it to use Very Vanilla card stock letters that I cut with the Serif Essentials Alphabet and my Big Shot.  However, Melissa is a glitter FREAK and she requested that her letters be cut with the Sticky Pages and the Big Shot and she wanted to cover them with Gold Fine Galaxy Glitter.  So if you know me, I want my customers to be happy and that is exactly what we did!!

Meljoy

Here are the ones she and Virginia did with the glitter, glitter was everywhere!!

Joy

Pat doesn't really like the glitter so she did hers like my sample

Pat

Vesta was also here to make her Friday nights stamp-a-stack cards, here she is with Jadyn and Virginia

Labpartners

These gals sure know how to make a mess, I had so much glitter on the floor, I had to go purchase a swiffer to get most of it.  I am still finding glitter on my floor. :-)

Group
I will post the pictures of their projects tomorrow so come back and visit me. :-)
