Bouquet Bunch Swap

Here is my card for the Controlfreaks Summer Mini Catalog swap.  I used the Bouquet Bunch set and a layout from my good friend Dawn Olchefske.  I started with an Old Olive Scallop Square and added my card in Whisper White.  The Polka Dot Designer Series Paper is from the Melon Mambo Patterns pack.

I stamped the vase image in Chocolate Chip on Old Olive and then used a small stamp from the Charming set (from the Occasions Mini Catalog and is still available) to decorate the vase.  I stamped the little flower image in Chocolate Chip and colored it with my Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo Stampin' Write Markers.  Love these colors together, so bright and cheery. :-)

Old Olive Scallop Square
4 x 8 Whisper White folded in half
2 x 3 34 Melon Mambo Prints Designer Series Paper
2 3/4 square Pumpkin Pie
2 1/2 square Melon Mambo with a 1 3/4 circle punched out of the middle.

It's Not Christmas

It seems as though the only time I use Handsome Hunter is at Christmas.  Now that it is retiring, I thought I should give it a try when the snow isn't flying. :-)

I used my Tearing Edge Tool to tear off the front of the Handsome Hunter card and then slipped in a quarter sheet of Very Vanilla.  I stamped the flower mages from Watercolor Trio in Handsome Hunter and Sage Shadow and the butterflies are stamped in Blush Blossom.  I got the color combo from the Color Coach.  The greeting was stamped in Handsome Hunter and punched out with the Large Oval and then matted onto a Scalloped Oval.  The top was wrapped in Sage Shadow Grosgrain Ribbon.

All these colors are retiring in June so if you are interested in the ink, card stock or ribbon, place your order ASAP!!

Circle Circus and FREE Flower Brads!!

Who doesn't love FREE stuff!!  I certainly do. :-)  This month if you purchase select stamp sets or My Digital Studio, you will receive FREE Designer Brads.  These brads are really cool as they have recessed images that you can color in.  This adds even more interest to your projects.

I used Brocade Blue, So Saffron and Regal Rose on this card and colored the brad with Crystal Effects mixed with So Saffron Reinker.  It was super easy, I just squirted a blob of Crystal Effects on a piece of scrap paper and mixed in a drop of So Saffron ink.  I used my Piercing Tool to transfer the Crystal Effects from the paper to fill in the flower on the brad and then allowed it to dry.  Easy Peasy!!!

Love Watercolor Trio!!

Watercolor Trio was one of the first stamp sets I purchased last month during our demonstrator pre-order period for the Summer Mini Catalog

If you would love to be first to get products from the NEW Idea Book & Catalog coming out in July, sign up with me as a demonstrator on my team by May 26th and on June 1st you will be able to order those goodies first and get a gift from me!!!

Right now if you join my team, you will receive two Technique DVD's from Stampin' Up! as well as an any price stamp set out of the NEW Catalog in July as a gift from me.  Click HERE for more info on becoming a demonstrator or call me and we can chat about it 307-673-4760.  I can call you back on my dime. :-)

Now onto the card, as I said, I used the Watercolor Trio (clear mount) set and I stamped the images in Ruby Red, Sage Shadow, Crushed Curry and Soft Suede.  The Crushed Curry Polka Dot Ribbon is flipped so we don't see any polka dots. :-)  I also used my Color Spritzer Tool and my Soft Suede Marker to add the splatter.

Ruby Red, Sage Shadow and Crushed Curry will be retiring at the end of June so if you need any products in those colors, order them ASAP as they are only available while supplies last.

Goodbye Southern Caribbean, Hello Wyoming!!!!

Third post today.

Ahhh, the Stampin' Up! cruise to the Southern Caribbean, it was so much fun.  The weather was good, the water was beautiful and the company was the best!!!  It was so good while it lasted but we did have to come back to reality. :-)  Here are a few photos for you.

This plane is going to fly right over my head and land at the airport on St Maarten roughly 100 yards from where I am standing.  We are on Maho Beach.  I have a video of the planes flying over us that I will share later.

We took a tour of Antigua and stopped here, (cannot remember where here is though!!)

My Stampin' buddies at Cane Bay on St. Croix.  We went snorkeling for the first time here and it was really cool.  These are official Stampin' Up! cover-ups, and they are the bomb-diggity, right Tom!!!

Circle Circus and a CASE

Since Circle Circus is a featured stamp set in this month's special and if you purchase it, you will get to choose a set of Designer Brads FREE, I thought I would get it out and use it with some of our retiring colors.  This card is also a CASE of a card I made for a freaks swap last year.  You can see my swap HERE.

My card uses Creamy Caramel, Really Rust and Taken with Teal.  Notice the cool textured Creamy Caramel card stock on the bottom, I used our new Square Lattice Impressions Folder, isn't that just the coolest texture you have seen!!!

I used a few of our circle punches, the retiring Dusty Durango Polka Dot Ribbon (reversed) and a 5/16 Neutrals Brads.  The greeting was inked up with the retiring Really Rust and Taken with Teal Markers and punched out with the Modern Label Punch.  If you don't already own this punch, you NEED it!!!

FREE Designer Brads and Circle Circus

The special for May is to purchase My Digital Studio or a stamp set off THIS LIST and you will receive your choice of Designer Brads FREE.  I have a small stack of Going Gray Textured Card Stock so I thought I would use some of it up. :-)  I used the Circle Circus stamp set, Circle Designer Brads, Going Gray, Real Red and Basic Black for my card.

I randomly stamped images on my piece of Whisper White.  I then stamped random images on scraps and punched them out with our various Circle Punches.  The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and is punched out with the Word Window and layered on a punch out from the Modern Label.  You can get the Circle Designer Brads FREE with the purchase of the Circle Circus stamp set this month.

Cameo Coral and Pink Flamingo

Cameo Coral is one of those colors that I will really miss when it retires at the end of June.  It is such a fun springy color and I love it in the Pink Flamingo Designer Series Paper which will also retire.  This project is featured in my May newsletter so if you want to know how to make it, you better sign up to receive my newsletters HERE

I will be putting in some photos of Tom, Sandy, Mike and I on our cruise when I get home. :-)
