Big Shot Die Storage - Sizzlit Box

I was absolutely giddy with excitement when I saw the new Storage Boxes for the Big Shot Dies.  They are shown on page 204 in the new catalog.  This is the first one I bought as I had a real need to organize my sizzlits and embosslits.  It is the Small Die Box and since I have a "few" Sizzlits and Embosslits they needed to be in one place so I could find them easliy!!!

Isn't this box just gorgeous!!!  It is a very sturdy box with Early Espresso canvas around the outside and a beautiful pattern on the inside.  It comes with an insert that can be purchased separately if you store your dies in a drawer or on a shelf.  This box makes me smile everytime I look at it.

Smallinsert Small Insert #120802 $4.95

You can order your Big Shot Die Storage boxes and Inserts through me anytime via my Online Store.

Everything Old IS New Again!!

I was rumaging through some old cards and came across THIS CARD done by my friend Deann.  I thought it would be perfect for a make over using new products and colors.  So here is my "make over"

The flower vase is created from the Wide Oval Punch.  You punch out the oval and then slide the top of the oval into the side of the punch and punch off a bit, then make a straight cut across the bottom with your Paper Snips.  I added a strip of Concord Crush card stock and the little Paper Daisy was colored using a Sponge Dauber and Pear Pizzazz ink.  The Pumpkin Pie Brad finishes it off

The focal point is an image from the Just Believe set that I inked up with markers in Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait and Concord Crush.  I paper pierced around the focal point and added my greeting from A Word For You in Concord Crush Classic Ink

Paperrdaisies Stampin' Up!'s new Paper Daisies are made so you can easily dye them any of our 45 colors.  In my sample, I used a Sponge Dauber to add the Classic Ink.  You can also use an Aqua Painter with ink refills, markers, pastels, or watercolor crayons to achieve varying degrees of color.  They are item #119243 and you get 40 flowers (10 of each size) in a package for only $6.95

All orders placed today through July 31st will be put in a drawing for the level 3 hostess set called Playful Pieces.  If your order is at least $40, you will also receive a FREE tutorial of your choice, one per order.  See my 30 choices HERE.  After you place your order, email me with your choice and I will email it to you when I return.

Funky Four Note Card Portfolio

You saw my notecards in Yesterdays Post so today, I am showing you the Portfolio I created for them.  I used my favorite color of the week, Concord Crush with the Funky Four set.  The patterned paper is from the In Color Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack.  What do you think of the yummy Concord Crush Ribbon, I am in love!!!

Here is the inside of the set.  The note cards and envelopes fit nicely in both sides of the Portfolio.

Directions for creating the Portfolio:  The Portfolio is made from one sheet of Concord Crush card stock.  Put the long side in your Paper Cutter and score at 5" and 6", turn it so the short side is at the top of your Paper Cutter and score at 2" and 2 1/2".  Cut out the bottom middle section and fold everything up to create your Portfolio.  Thanks so much to my stampin' buddy Dawn Olchefske for the idea.

What will I show you tomorrow??  Come back and see!!

Triangle Tri-fold and my little buddy the Owl

I just love this Two Step Owl Punch and I want to put him on everything I make.  However, this isn't really reasonable as I know you want to see other things. :-)

This Triangle Tri-Fold Card came to me as I was punching out owl pieces in various colors.  As I started assembling him, I thought he would look great on one of these cards as he is the prefect size.  I have another Triangle Tri-Fold card in a previous post.

I used the Blushing Bride paper from the Hostess level 1 Designer Series Paper Pack and the Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack for this project.  Do you see his wings?  A little heart shape is included with this punch and I punched two, one for each wing.  It is tied shut with a piece of our Poly Twill Blushing Bride Ribbon.

A look at the inside reveals a little get well message from Word Play, this is one of my favorite new sets.

For All You Do - Catalog CASE

I found this card on page 17 of the NEW Stampin' Up! catalog and changed the blue from Baja Breeze to Marina Mist but kept the Old Olive.  The stamp set is called For All You Do.  I stamped the block image in Marina Mist ink on Marina Mist card stock and positioned the bird body in the punch so I would get the stamped image on the birds body.

I love super simple cards and this one is simple. :-)

I used the Two Step Bird Punch to punch out the stamped card stock and I punched an extra branch.   I am on a mission to CASE cards from the NEW Stampin' Up! catalog and you can see them in the Catalog CASE 10-11 category in the right side bar.

TIP - Storing Your Scraps from the Designer Series Paper Stacks

I love Stampin' Up!'s new Patterns Designer Series Paper Stacks but what do you do with all those little scraps left over when you use most of a sheet?  I don't know about you but I like to keep my scraps with the main package.  With our regular DSP packs, they come wrapped in plastic and I keep all the scraps in the package with the full sheets.  Since these come padded, I didn't have anywhere to keep the scraps.  I solved that problem by adhering a large cello bag to the front of my pad so now I have a place to keep all those scraps.  I have one on each stack so I can keep all the scraps together. :-)Papertip

Elegant Soiree Pinwheel Card

I have a video showing how to make these cards and you can find it HERE, just scroll down a bit.  With all these new Designer Series Papers, I have tons to choose from to make these super easy cards.  I will start with the Elegant Soiree.  My colors are Soft Suede, Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake.

The greeting is from Just Believe and I added a Clear Button over a piece of the DSP and then a circle using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and finished the whole card off with the Basic Pearls.  These Pearls are so cool, they already have a tiny glue dot on them so you just peel and stick them where you want them.  See the video HERE.

All orders placed July 15th through July 31st will be put in a drawing for the level 3 hostess set called Playful Pieces.

Thank you all so much!!!

The numbers are in and at the Annual Stampin' Up! Awards Ceremony tonight, I ranked #10 in sales and #25 in the all around Demonstrator of the Year out of 40,000 demonstrators.  I am so grateful to each and every one of you for making this possible for me.  THANK YOU!!!!!

Growing Green and lots of cutting!

All this cutting is not what I had in mind when I stamped my main image from a new set called Growing Green in Versamark and embossed it.  I was going to attempt the Reinker Spread technique but it wasn't meant to be!!  So I began to add some color using a Sponge Dauber.  I started with Daffodil Delight and then added a bit of Pumpkin Pie.  After I added the color, I just knew that I was going to have to cut it out....YUCK!!  I am not a fan of cutting, however, I used my Paper Snips and my Hobby Blade and it turned out AWESOME!!  The strip on the bottom was run through the Big Shot with the new Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder and I wrapped the whole thing with some yummy Early Espresso Satin Ribbon.

Here is a close up view of my cut out piece.  It is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals for that added depth.

The greeting from Word Play is stamped in Early Espresso and I thought the Pumpkin Pie die cut butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit finished it off nicely.

Come back tomorrow for another GREAT project!!

My Birthday Cake

Yesterday, my six year old son asked me if we could make me a birthday cake.  I really didn't have time as I am busy packing our trailer for a two week camping/boating vacation.  However, he was just so sweet, how could I resist!!!

He helped me mix everything together, we baked it and then he wanted to frost it.  We mixed up two of my favorite colors and he was off and frosting!!  I didn't have two #4 candles but he was determined to get 44 on this cake.  He started rumaging through my birthday candles and he got it done.  Do you see his adaptation on the number 44??

Four candles in the bottom row, a D and four candles in the top....."four D four"....I have a pretty clever kid!!

We forgot to take the picture until after we started eating it!!

Remember, I am offering FREE shipping on all ordes placed today for my birthday!!

Button Balloons - Catalog CASE and today is my BIRTHDAY!!

This card was inspired by one on page 77 in the Stampin' Up! catalog.  I just loved how the artist used our Designer Buttons as balloons.  I am on a mission to CASE samples in the catalog.

I am loving these little Greeting Card Kids.  I stamped the little girl in Black StazOn, colored her in with markers and my Blender Pen and cut her out.  The Designer Buttons are from the Brights Collection.
