Gently Falling Fancy Fold

This was one of the projects that my club gals made in September.  We used the Gently Falling set and I had all the line art images on Block F and that made the stamping go quickly.

It is a horizontal step card and the Simply Scored Tool made it a breeze!!

Here is a close up of the acorn accent:

We tied the Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon and a piece of the Spice Cake Fabric together and attached the cut out acorn to the knot with a glue dot.  Added a bit of Linen thread and attached the little embellishment to the card with a Mini Clothespin.  The Mini clothespins are only $2.95 for a pack of 24, what a bargain!!

I held my Halloween Village of Cuteness and Technique Geek classes yesterday, so I will have some pics of the villages this week.

Gftgivershalloweenin I started with a piece of Basic Black card stock that measures 6 1/2 x 4 1/2.  I used my Simply Scored Tool to score it at 1 3/4 and 4 3/4 and fold it together.

The paper on the front is from the Pick Your Poison Designer Series Paper in the Holiday Mini Catalog and the stamped image is from the Gift Givers set also in the Holiday Mini.

The tag is created by the Two Tags Bigz Die and my Big Shot Machine.  and I added the Basic Gray Satin and Basic Black 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon as a pull tab. Get your Ribbon Shares here.

Create a Halloween House!

Designahouse Did you see the Design a House on the Clearance Rack, the price is a mere $2.39!!  You can decorate it any way you wish.  I made one last year for Halloween and was tickled to see it again when my kiddos brought the Halloween box out.  They had a blast doing the decorating this year.

Househalloween

I put a couple of battery powered tealights inside to make it glow in the dark.  I used the Bitty Bat Punch when I made mine and now it is on the Clearance Rack as well for only $6.99, what a bargain!!!

I covered the white chipboard pieces with Basic Black card stock and added Vellum Card Stock Windows that I stamped with the Wicked Cool set...too much fun!!!!  You can also paint the house pieces prior to assembly and that would be alot quicker.:-)  Here are a few more samples.

Here is a reminder of how to re-ink with the Vintage Stampin' Ink refills

Re-inking a Vintage Ink Spot is different than re-inking a Classic Stampin' Pad or Spot. To create a distressed, aged appearance, a Vintage Ink Spot should be drier than a Classic Stampin' Pad. When it's too dry--that is, the ink applies more lightly than you like on your projects--you should re-ink the Spot. To re-ink your Vintage Ink Spot, do the following:

  1. Using the eyedropper in the Vintage Ink Refill, apply ink one drop at a time in equal, thin stripes on the pad. Do not saturate the pad; it needs to be drier than a Classic Stampin' Pad. Let the ink settle into the pad for a few minutes before continuing.
  2. Using the edge of a credit card, drag the ink diagonally across the pad from corner to corner. This will ensure that the ink is heavier in some places than others, which is necessary to create a distressed appearance.
  3. Blot lightly with a paper towel to remove excess ink.
