Sweet Sorbet Perfect Pennants

This was one of my Stamp Club Cards in January. We used three products from the Sale-a-bration Brochure on this card in addition to the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Fringe Scissors and the Perfect Pennants stamp set.

The background was created with the Decorative Dots Textured Embossing Folder and then we added a strip of paper from the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper Pack.  There are many fun patterns to choose from so any of them would be great on this card.  The little Baker's Twine Bow comes out of the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack.  This pack has three colors of Baker's Twine along with a sheet of die cut, self adhesive cork accents.

We divided the Sweet Sorbet paper and the Decorative Dots background with a strip of Basic Black cut with our hugelyf popular Fringe Scissors.

You can order any of these fun paper crafting supplies in my Online Store anytime day or night and if you order $50 and add this hostess code 7J2A9GYW , I will send you a FREE gift.

Santa's List Thank You Card

Here is a quick card you can make to say thanks for the wonderful Christmas gifts you will receive this year.

I cut a piece of Crumb Cake to 7 x 5 and folded it in half so it would fit in our Crumb Cake Notecard Envelopes.  I added a 3-1/4 x 4-3/4 panel of Old Olive that was embossed with our Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The Santa image was stamped in Crumb Cake and punched out with the 2-1/2 Circle Punch and then a Cherry Cobbler layer was created with the Circles Collection Framelits.

The greeting is from Petite Pairs and it is punched out with our Scallop Oval Punch and paper pierced with the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack.  A bit of Burlap Ribbon peeks out from the back of the circles to add some dimension.

Angels from the Gift Bow Die

I participate in a monthly swap with some local friends and a holiday magnet is one of the items we swapped earlier this month. I have seen adorable angels created with the Stampin' Up! Gift Bow Bigz L Die and knew that it would make the perfect magnet.

I only had to make five but I was having so much fun that I decided to make a few more to use a gifts for some of my family.

I took the latest school photos of the kiddos and punched out their sweet faces to make them into angels.

You could also turn these into Christmas Ornaments by simply adding some Baker's Twine to the back.  I used some SNEAK PEAK Twine from the upcoming Occasions Catalog.  It is gold!!!

Glitter Striped Mini Muslin Bag

How cool is this?  It is one of our Mini Muslin Bags with Gold Glitter Stripes!!  I got the idea after seeing some wrapping paper while I was shopping last week.

I took one of my Mini Muslin Bags (Holiday Catalog page 36) and applied Sticky Strip on the diagonal.  You do need to burnish the ends of the Sticky Strip with your Bone Folder for easy removal of the protective red liner.

After I removed all the protective red liner strips, I poured Gold Stampin' Glitter (Holiday Catalog pg 29) all over the Sticky Strip.  I gently tapped the bag over a large Powder Pal to catch the excess glitter and funneled it back into the container.  I was pleasantly suprised that the glitter didn't stick to the open spaces of the bag that weren't covered with the Sticky Strip.

My greeting is from the Christmas Messages set (Holiday Catalog pg 34) stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  I ran the greeting through the Big Shot with one of the framelits in the Chalk Talk Framelits Collection and attached it to a strip of Burlap Ribbon with a safety pin from the Vintage Trinkets.

Pretty simple project that packs a WOW!!

Holiday Notepads

Quick and easy gift item. I purchased the smaller legal pads (5-1/2 x 8) at my local store and cut them in half with my paper cutter. I have a pretty heavy duty cutter but if you don't, your local print shop should be able to cut a stack of these notepads for a nominal fee, I think ours charges $2.

ChristmascollectibelsnotepadgroupThe Textured Smoky Slate base piece is cut to 6-1/4 x 8 1/4 and with the 6-1/4 edge at the top of the Stampin' Trimmer, I scored at 3" from each edge.

The Textured Island Indigo layer is 2-1/2 x 7-3/4 and I did a little trick with my piece of Winter Frost Designer Series Paper.  I purchased the Paper Stack and it has 48 sheets that measure 4-1/2 x 6-1/2 not long enough to cover it right?  I cut one of the sheets in half creating a piece that is 2-1/4 x 6 1/2 and then cut that piece on the long side at 2".  I added the cut pieces to the top and bottom of the Island Indigo layer and then covered my gap with a 2-1/2" Circle punched from more Smoky Slate. Pretty clever right. :-)

Christmascollectibelsnotepad1This was a class project last month and since it is Christmas, we had to use some bling!  I always keep my small scraps of our Glimmer Papers and then use our smaller punches to finish up the scraps.  I keep the punched images in empty brad and button containers so they are handy when I need them.  This project uses the stars from the Merry Minis Punch Pack and the flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.

ChristmascollectibelsnotepadoutThe "notes" greeteing is from the October Paper Pumpkin kit and I stamped the ornaments from the Christmas Collectibles set in Island Indigo and Coastal Cabana and punched then out with the new Christmas Ornament Punch.

These two items are available in a bundle and you save 15% when you order our bundles.  (See all our current bundles HERE) The "notes" greeteing is from the October Paper Pumpkin kit.

Expression Thinlits and the Wonderful Wreath

This is a copy of the card shown on page 11 of the Holiday Catalog.  Thanks to my friend Joyce for bringing it to my attention.  I made one and gave it to her.

The Stampin' Supplies List for the Holiday Catalog says that the designer used Old Olive ink for the wreath but I found it was a bit too dark for me so I opted to stamp the wreath in Pear Pizzazz.

It is a bit hard to see in the photo but I ran my Whisper White Pennant through the Big Shot Machine with the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder.  The word was cut from the Gold Foil Sheets and I always use a piece of Waxed Paper between the paper and the die.

Merry Minis Punch Pack again!

Here is another card using the Merry Minis Punch Pack.  I punched the little trees out of our Gold Foil Paper and attached them to a piece of Card stock Vellum with Glue Dots to create my background.

I used the Greetings of the Season set from the Holiday Carryover List and inked the stamp in Versamark and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.  The greeting is punched out with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch and another circle was punched out of Gold Foil Paper, cut in half and placed behind the greeting.

You may be wondering where the Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape and Gold Sequin Trim came from?  Well, they are BRAND NEW products from the upcoming Occasions Catalog!!  WOO HOO!!! I love new toys to play with. :-)

Cocoa Pouch with the Envelope Liner Framelits Dies!!

Fun use for the Envelope Liners Framelits, A pouch that you can use for a slim gift, invitation to a party, gift cards and cocoa packets.

I started with a piece of Smoky Slate Textured 12x12 Cardstock from the Holiday Catalog.  I am using the middle sized Envelope Liner so I cut my paper to 5-1/2 x 10-1/2 and folded it in half so it measures 5-1/2 x 5-1/4.  I placed it on a cutting pad on my Magnetic Platform with the fold inside the die and ran it through the Big Shot.

Open the pouch and lay it on your Stampin' Trimmer to score the sides and top.  See photo tutorial below.

1.  Lay the pouch on the Trimmer short side at the top and align the edges in the track and score. Flip over and do the same thing to the other side
2.  Lay the pouch on the Trimmer with the long side at the top and align the edge with the track and score.
3. Use a Bone Folder to create crisp folds on all score lines.
4. Cut off two of the skinny side pieces as shown in #3
5. Add Sticky Strip as shown in #3 and adhere together to form a pouch.

I stamped my pouch with the snowflake in the Best of Snow stamp set with Smoky Slate Ink.  I added the cute little tag with a stamp from the same set stamped in Island Indigo.  I wrapped some fo the yummy Island Indigo Chevron Ribbon around the pouch and added a package of hot chocolate and a Bogdon's Peppermint Stick.

AgiftforyouGCUsing the smallest liner die, you can create gift card holders!!

Cut your paper to 3-1/2 x 10 and use the same instructions.  However, I cut the front flap off rather than folding it down.

Countdown to Christmas!

Got someone in your house who just can’t wait for Christmas? Help them count down the days by making this fun project.

Inspiration came from the tags at the bottom of page 13 of the Holiday Catalog.

For the containers, use the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack (the Winter Frost Stack would look great too!). So easy—no cutting necessary!

To make the containers, apply Sticky Strip adhesive like this.

Roll the container into a tube, then pinch one end closed. Add candy (or whatever you want to put inside), then pinch the other end closed in the opposite direction.

Attach the tag made with the Morning Post Numbers set and the Deco Labels Framelits (get 25% off these framelits through December 2nd during the Holiday Sale) using a stapler, then adhere the Brights Designer Button using a Glue Dot to hide the staple.

Twelve containers will fit nicely inside the Extra-Large Gift Box. To make the box look a little more festive, I wrapped Season of Style Designer Washi Tape around it.

Do you have a special way you’ll be counting down the days to Christmas?

Christmas Collectibles Glittery Gift Tags

Had some fun with our Silver Stampin' Glitter and the Smoky Slate Embossing Powder.   I mixed two teaspoons of Smoky Slate Embossing Powder with one teaspoon of the Silver Stampin' Glitter to create this glittery embossig powder.

Stamp any image from the Christmas Collectibles stamp set in Versamark on Whisper White card stock, pour on the blinged out embossing powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.

ChristmascollectibleschalktalktagscloseAfter I punched out the blinged out ornament, I punched another ornament in Basic Gray, cut it up the middle and attached each piece to the back of my ornament.  This gives it a bit more definition.  The little Merry Christmas Greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set and I put everything on a tag cut in Smoky Slate Textured Cardstock with one of the Chalk Talk Framelits.  I created a bunch of these for a Christmas Tag Swap last month.

Season of Style DSP with some Champagne Glimmer Paper

Now onto our card, I love using the Expressions Thinlnts with our Glimmer Paper, it makes such fun sparkly greetings. :-)

I added a 2" strip of The Season of Style Designer Series Paper across the top of the card and used the Crumb Cake Seam Binding to tie it together with the rest of the card.  The ornament is one of the punches in the Merry Minis Punch Pack (it also includes a Christmas Tree and a Star).

BARB'S TIP - Remember to sandwich a piece of waxed paper between your paper and the die for easy removal.
