Darling Doily Thinlit Wreath

Started the 9th Round of my popular Be a Big Shot at Home Class this month and this is one of the projects the gals will get to make.  I cut and prep all the pieces for them and pop them in the mail.  They get to put the projects together in the comfort of their homes at their convenience.

I ran the Darling Doily Thinlit through the Big Sot with Garden Green card stock to create the wreath and then used one of the Circles Collection Framelits to cut out the center.  I used another Circles Collection Framelit for the suspended greeting in the center.

The Owl Builder Punch provided the small heart and the Cupcake Builder Punch supplied me with the Holly Berries.

My greeting is from the Merry Everything stamp set.

VIDEO - How to Make Money Holders

A few days ago, I had a Money Holder on my blog and promised a video, well, here it is!

Every year, I make Money Holders as I do like to give cash to some of my family members, mainly the teenagers as they are so hard to buy for.

I have created a number of these over the years and have a Pinterest Board for them, check it out MONEY HOLDERS ON PINTEREST

Christmas Bliss Under the Tree

Holiday Extravangza starts Monday along with our recruiting special, scroll down for more details.

Super easy card for you today. I love quick and easy cards when I need to make a bunch.

I love using our Kraft card stock with the Under the Tree Designer Series Paper, it is a perfect match.

I started with a Cherry Cobbler Base and added a strip of the tree pattern down the middle.  I cut a pennant shape from the Kraft card stock and punched a tree with the Tree Punch.  I added a piece of the green striped paper to the back of the pennant so it would show through.  My greeting is from the Christmas Bliss Photopolymer set and the Champagne Glimmer Paper star finishes it off.

November 2014 Control Freaks Blog Tour

Freakwelcome2013 (2)

Welcome to the November 2014 Tour de Freaks Blog Hop! We are so excited to have you join us today.

Our theme is "Christmas/Holiday" so you will see some fun projects using lots of different Stampin' Up! productsOur tour features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers. You may have just come from the blog of the incredibly talented Judy DiScipio, you may be one of my blog stalkers or you may have just stumbled here…however you got here, you’ll be very glad you did!  Be sure to take the whole tour!  If you are arriving here on the 19th, please note that not all links may not be working yet.  The tour officially begins on the 20th.

December_wonderMy first project uses the Project Life December Wonder Photopolymer Stamp Set I got to play with this stamp set while I was on the Founder's Circle Retreat back in September.  I only had a few ink pad colors with me so I chose Coastal Cabana and created the tag.  I brought it home with me and added it to this card.  I love the non-traditional Christmas colors . :-)

The stamp set comes with the solid and outline diamond images.  I stamped the Coastal Cabana off once to make the solid string and then came back in with Memento Tuxedo Black for the overlaying outline image.  These stamps are Photopolymer so it is incredibly easy to line up the images.

My background uses the On Point Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Supplies: Project Life December Wonder Photopolymer stamp set, On Point Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Neutrals Backgrounds Designer Series Paper Stack, Angled Tag Topper Punch, Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Rhinestones Basic Jewels, Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon.

My second project is a Money Holder.  I don't know about you but cash is always the right size and always the right color for the young people on my list.  I make these every year and this year, I have a video tutorial so come back early next week and I will have it posted for you.

I usd the Letterpress Winter set with my favorite snowflake color combination this year, Soft Sky and Lost Lagoon.  I also added some of the smaller snowflakes stamped with the Encore Silver Metallic Pad.

I cut two banners, one from each color and staggered them just a bit for a pop of color at the end of the greeting

The For You greeting was stamped in Lost Lagoon and punched out with the 1" Circle Punch and then layered on a 1-1/4 Scallop Circle out of Soft Sky.

Supplies: Letterpress Winder, Stampin' Trimmer, Lost Lagoon and Soft Sky inks and card stock, Encore Metallic Silver Ink, 1" Circle Punch, 1-1/4 Scallop Circle Punch, Banners Framelits,

That does it for me, your next stop is the blog of another super talented Control Freak Stamper, Wendy Weixler, I know you will love what she has to share.

Seasonally Scattered - last bunch

I created these cards with the remaining stamped images I had in my stash.  I stamped the "thanks" image from the Seasonally Scattered stamp set using the Baby Wipe Technique on these tags. I have additional samples and brief instructions for the technique HERE and HERE.

I cut the pieces to 2" wide so I could use the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch on them.  I added a snippet of Mossy Meadow Satin Stitched Ribbon and secured it with the Handheld Stapler.

I ran the card through the Big Shot with the Filigree Frame Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and added a piece of the Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper behind the greeting.  Super easy cards.

Spotlight on Lovely as a Tree

This was a card for my Monthly Card Buffet Class. Lovely as a Tree is the oldest stamp set in our catalog, it was added to the catalog in 2001. I still sell quite a few of these sets.

For this card, I stamped the row of trees on my Very Vanilla layer and again on a 2" wide tag.  I cut a circle from a scrap of card stock with the Circles Collection Framelits and placed it over my tag.  I used Sponge Daubers to add my colors, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie and Calypso Coral.

After stamping and sponging the tag, I added a strip of Soft Suede punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and centered it over the stamped image on my card.  My greeting is from A Dozen Thoughts.

SubscriptionLooking for that perfect gift for yourself or a friend, try a Paper Pumpkin Subscription.  Add a subscription to your next order and if the total is at least $150, you will receive $25 in hostess rewards.  Subscriptions are the best way to enjoy Paper Pumpkin.  Click HERE for more details.
