Bright Blossoms Bunny Card

Isn't this little bunny the cutest!!  I found inspiration from Dena Rekow and Gina Taylor and here is my creation.

Brightblossomsbunny

I thought his little bunny behind would look so cute sitting in the grass so I took a strip of Pear Pizzazz and used my Paper Snips to snip down about halfway and repeated this all the way across moving the scissors ever so slightly with each cut.  I went back and cut some of the blades on the diagonal.  I added a little circle of Pretty in Pink card stock with the small circle punch in the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and then adhered the matching button over it to create his tail.

The bunny is made using three of our punches:
3/4 Circle (head) 119873
Small Oval (body) 120908
Blossom Petals Builder (ears) 121808

I stamped the leaves and daffodils using the NEW Sneak Peak set called Bright Blossoms.  You can purchase this during the new catalog sneak peak next month!  The Daffodil Delight Seam Binding is also part of the sneak peak.  The greeting is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set found on page 167 of the catalog

Easter Baskets from Envelopes

Easterblessingsbaskets

Each year during our Spring Book Fair, we hold a Bingo For Books Event for the students and their families.  This year, I was lucky to have some help from a few of our wonderful teachers.  I wanted to give them a little something thanking them for their help so I made them each a little Easter Basket out of our Crumb Cake Medium Envelopes.

I ran my SNAIL Adhesive around the whole envleope flap to seal it.  The Extra Large Tag punch was used to create the handle.  I pushed it in all the way along the edge on a long side and punched.  Trim off the remainder and repeat on the other edge.  You could also cut in about 1 1/4" from each edge and about 2 1/2" from the top to create a handle.  I then ran the basket bottom through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The Happy Easter Greeting and the egg are from the Easter Blessings set, the Easter Wishes greeting is from All Holidays and the bunny is from the retired Eggcoutrements set that I have for sale HERE.

Easterblessingsbasket I stamped my greeting and popped my focal point onto a 2 1/2" circle and I added bows made out of Marina Mist 3/8 Taffeta and Marina Mist Satin Ribbon with a Mini Glue Dot to the handle.  I have Small Cello Bags filled with Jellybeans in the baskets.

The ladies loved them as much as I loved making and giving them.  These would make great May Baskets as well.

The Occasions Mini Catalog is coming to an end April 30th, if there are any must have items on your list, order them ASAP before they are gone.

Perfect Setting Die - Easter Baskets!!

PerfectsettingeastercupcakesHow are these for Stinkin' Cute!  I had a vision while at the grocery store the other day.  I saw a package of cupcake baskets and thought to myself, why pay for these plain boring white ones when I can make them at home and make them better!!!

Perfectsettingdie
I raced to the bakery and found these cupcakes with colored frosting that matched Stampin' Up! Colors!!!  I quickly purchased the cupcakes and ran home.  I pulled out my Perfect Setting Bigz XL Die to make these darling Easter Basket Cupcake Holders.  The frosting was a perfect match for Concord Crush, Tempting Turquoise and Pretty in Pink.

I wanted them to be simple so the focal point is simply the darling little rabbit from the So Cute set layered on the circle and scallop.  The handle is a 3/8 x 8 1/2 strip fastened to the sides with Silver Brads.  That is it!!!  These went together in literally minutes so you could whip them up for any occasion.

Time for some Easter treats!

Petalconecarrotgroup

When I saw these super cute Petal Cone carrot pouches by Theresa Vargas, I knew I would be making some.  They are so easy and if you scroll down, I have made a map to show you how to make the bunny.

The Petal Cone Bigz L Die 121810, in the Occasions Mini Catalog on page 15, is cut from a half sheet of Pumpkin Pie card stock.  I folded the cone in half and then ran it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing FolderIMG_1077 The carrot top is cut from the Scallop Circle Bigz die in Garden Green and the carrot top base piece is from the 2 3/8 Scallop Punch.

I used the Easter Wishes greeting from the All Holidays 114916 set and added an Easter Kit Kat to the pouch.  Here is a map to show you how to assemble the bunny, you can click on it to see it larger.

Easter Treat to share!

Happy Easter to all of you who celebrate this meaningful holiday!!

I found some colorful Whitman's Marshmallow Eggs and thought they would make nice gifts for a few friend, however, they needed a package. :-)  I took some mesurements of the egg and decided that I needed a box about 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 and 1" deep.

Here it is!!

Eggcoutrementseggboxclosed

I used a piece from the Shades of Spring Designer Series Paper for the top and added a Scallop Trim Border.  The tag is from Eggcoutrements and was stamped in Certainly Celery.  I added some bling from the Eggcellent Eggs Kit and wrapped it with some of our yummy Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon.

Here is a view of the yummy egg laying on a bed of "grass".  I ran some strips of Certainly Celery through my Crimper and cut it into skinny strips.

Eggcoutrementseggboxopen
Here is my template, it measures 8 x 5 1/2.  With the long side at the top of my Paper Cutter, I scored at 1, 3 1/2, 4 1/2 and 7. Rotate it so that the short side is at the top of the Cutter and score at 1 and 4 1/2.  Fold on all score lines then cut all the score lines in 1" on the long side.  Remove the center square on both sides.  Apply adhesive and fold up.  Easy Peasy!!

Rag Quilt Easter Basket and clearance items

I saw this fabric on clearance at our local fabric store and thought it would make a super cute Easter Basket.  It did!!!  Since I have two kids, I had to make two. :-)

Easterbasket
I used a strip of the card board that comes in our packs of Designer Series Paper to give the handle some stability.   The flower was made with the Flower Folds Bigz XL die and of course the Easter Basket was done with the Scallop Square die and my Big Shot Machine!

Twotagseggcoutrementstreatsgroup

Twotagsdie These are created by cutting two of the larger tags on the Two Tags Bigz Die out with your Big Shot and gluing the bottoms to each other.  Then fold them up to form a tent.  I put three Hershey's Nuggets inside.

Twotagseggcoutrementstreatside

The handle was created by punching the Small Oval in a scrap of Melon Mambo and then over punching it with the Extra Large Oval Punch.  Thanks to Amanda for this!!

I used the Eggcoutrements clear mount stamp set for the Bermuda Bay bunny image and punched it out with the 1" Circle Punch and then layered it onto a Designer Label Punch out in Pretty in Pink.  The strip of Designer Series Paper is from the Welcome Neighbor stack and you can still get this paper pack FREE with a $50 order placed with me through Wednesday.

Twotagseggcoutrementstreatfront Here is the front view.  These make super cute little treats.  I put one in my daughters lunch last week during her PAWS testing.  I have been putting little cards or treats in her lunch every day since they began testing on March 8th.  I run down to my stamp room each morning before she gets up and create something super quick and easy for her.  Sure gets that Stampin' Mojo goin' for me!!

Why Do I Do This To Myself?!

Date - March 25th

Time - 11:12 pm

What - I forgot to make Easter treats for my kiddos to take to school!!!

Yep, that is the story of my life, waiting until the last minute.  I have been planning to make some sort of treat for my kids to take to their school friends for Easter but Easter isn't until next week right?  Reality check, Spring Break starts after school today!!!  It dawned on me late last night so I needed to get something done ASAP!!  I looked in my stash of fabulous projects and found THIS from last Easter.  I didn't have any Kit Kat's (as I ate them all) so I had to use a bag of Spring Smarties.

Butterflysmartie

I whipped out nearly 70 of these babies in about 45 minutes.  Nothing fancy but who can be fancy at 11 o'clock at night? I needed to get to bed.  I only got four hours the night before and tonight wasn't lookin' good either. :-)

Here is a blurry group shot, it was late and the sun wasn't out. :-)

Butterflysmartiegroup
I used Lavender Lace card stock and ran it through my Big Shot with the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die, I was able to cut three at a time.  Then I ran each butterfly through the machine again with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder and this time I was able to run two at at time.  Put two Mini Glue Dots in the middle and added the Smarties.  Super Easy and Super Fast.

Butterflysmaritesgroup

It is early in the morning now and I have to get the kids up and moving. Have a GREAT day!!

Glassine Bags for Easter Treats

Here is another cute Easter treat.  I have other treat ideas and you can find them HERE.  This treat uses the Eggcoutrements stamp set from the Occasions Mini and I added a yummy Reeses Peanut Butter Egg.  The Glassine Bag has polka dots on it!!!  I ran the bag through my Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder to get the polka dots.

Perfectppolkadotsreeses
I wrapped a piece of Double Stitched Chocolate Chip Ribbon around it and added the tag that I created with the Eggcoutrements set.  I stamped the basked image in Chocolate Chip and punched it out with my Small Tag Punch.  The So Saffron layer was done with my Tag Punch and the Certainly Celery layer was hand cut.  The snippets of Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon finish it off.

Here is a close up shot of the Polka Dots.

Eggcoutrements Easter Easel Card

WOW there are alot of E's in the title of this post. :-)  Here is another Easel Card, you can see the Easel Calendar Card I made with the Vintage Vogue set HERE with some instructions.  These cards are really very easy to make.

Eggcoutrementseaselfront

I used Lavender Lace, Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery Stampin' Pastels (chalks) to color the raised images made when I ran my Shimmery White card stock through my Big Shot with the Elegant Bouquet Impressions Folder.  I also used my Piercing Tool and Mat Pack to add the rows of pierced holes along the side and along the bottom.  I used two different stamps from the Eggcoutrements set for my images and punched them out with the 1" Circle and Designer Label Punches.

Here is a side view showing how my bottom layer is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals to keep the card in the open position.  I also added a knot of Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon.

Easter Treat made with FREE stamps!!!

I whipped up this Easter treat using some of the FREE stamp sets I have earned during Sale-a-bration.  The little butterfly background stamped in Regal Rose is from the Sprinkles set and the main image is from A Flower For All Seasons.

The main piece is 3 1/2 x 10 1/2 and I scored at 4, 4 1/2, 5 and 9" using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool.   You can see my Valentine version HERE.

Aflowerforallseasonseastertreat
The card stock is Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Whisper White.  I stamped the basket image in Basic Brown and colored it in with my Stampin' Write Markers in Close to Cocoa, Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery.  It was punched out with the Scallop Circle Punch and mounted on a circle cut with my Big Shot and the Circles #2 die.  The border on the flap was done with the Eyelet Border Punch.  The Easter greeting is from the set in the Occasions Mini Catalog called Well Scripted.

Here is what is inside. :-)

Plate For All Seasons - Easter

This is my plate insert for Easter.  I held a class back in January and we made six different inserts for our plates.  The gals had a blast and I am thinking of offering it again.

Plateeaster

You can view a slideshow of my other plate designs HERE.

The background is Bashful Blue cut to 6x6 and I rounded the corners.  I used the Big Shot with Embossing Folders for the eggs and punched them out with the Wide Oval Punch.  The bunny body is a 1 3/4" Circle Punch, his face is the 1 3/8 circle punch and his ears and feet are small and large oval punches.  The sun is a Scallop Circle and the flag is hand cut to mimic the shape of the stamped greetings. The grass is a long strip of Certainly Celery and I fringed it with my Paper Snips.

Chocolate Chip Prints and Sweet Pea Stitched Felt with a Starbucks Bottle

My friend gave me some of these Starbucks bottles and wanted me to do something with them.  After careful deliberation (read as put in a cupboard and just found them a few days ago) I came up with an idea.

Starbucks

I had purchased some Hershey's Chocolate Flowers in the Easter candy section at a local store and thought they would be the perfect thing to put in the bottle.

Tinytagscoffeebottle

The bottle was wrapped with a piece of our Chocolate Chip Prints Designer Series Paper and then I added some of the wonderful Sweet Pea Stitched Felt Flowers with my Mono Multi Adhesive.  The Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon adds some detail around the middle.

Here is a view of the lid and a close up of the little tag I added.

Tinytagscoffeebottlelid  Tinytagscoffeebottletag

The lid is done with the 1 3/4" Circle and 1 3/8" Circle Punch layered and I added a Sweet Pea flower to the top.  The tag is made with the Tiny Tags set from the Occasions Mini Catalog and I stamped the images in Rose Red, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive. I punched it out with the Medium Jewelry Tag Punch also in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  It is hanging from the bottle with Linen Thread.

I am going to do the prep work for my taxes today and it will take me at least the whole day so I am not really looking forward to it!!

Thanks for checking in, I really appreciate it!!

I got a wild "hare" yesterday morning while I was shopping in the Easter candy aisle and decided to put together some quickie Easter treats for my kids teachers.  At first I looked at the Easter Peeps but remembered that it is a bit difficult (read as I was a mess after doing this last year) getting sticky marshmallow treats into a cello bag so I opted for some Easter candy bars. :-)

Topnotebunniesgroup

I made eight but my daughter had after school orchestra yesterday and I sent one with her to give to her violin teacher.

I did get a couple of close-ups for you.  I used the Reese's, Milky Way and Solid Hershey bars for my treats.  I could get two in a 4" x 6" Cello Bag and then used my Top Note Die with my Big Shot Machine and some Pink Pirouette card stock for the topper.

Topnotebunnies2

Here is a close-up of the bunny.  I used a 1 3/4" Circle Punch for his face, two 1/2" circles for the cheeks and two 1/4 circles for the eyes.  I added a Pretty in Pink brad for the nose and hand drew the whiskers.  The ears are one large and one small oval punch.

Topnotebunnyclose

I am pretty happy with the way they turned out and they were pretty simple to put together.
