Halloween week continues with this adorable gift bag created with our Gift Bag Punch Board.  Instead of buying bags for small treats and gifts, create them in a variety of sizes using the cardstock or Designer Series Paper of your choice. The Gift Bag Punch Board makes it super simple to create gift bags in varying sizes. All you have to do is punch, score, and adhere.

* Makes bags 2" deep in heights from 4" to 10" tall
* Makes bags in 3 widths: 2-5/8", 3-1/8", 3-5/8"
* Lightweight and portable
* Has a fold-away score extender and a scoring tool that tucks into a convenient storage slot
* Measurements printed on the board
* Instructions included

Typeset Designer Series Paper - 3-1/4” x 7”

Silver 1/8” ribbon - 12”
Optional: Scraps of Silver Glimmer paper and/or Silver Foil sheet

1. Create tall LARGE gift bag following instructions on Gift Bag Punch Board (lwatch the video below) and assemble using Tear & Tape adhesive. Adhere Typeset DSP to front of bag and use reverse punch on Gift Bag Punch Board to punch holes in the middle of the front of the bag (Hint: Use pointer on reverse punch to indicate the center line from the top of the bag and punch once)
2. Mix 2 parts black embossing powder with 1 part Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Stamp “Trick or Treat” onto Tangelo Twist card stock using Versamark and emboss with powder mix. Cut out using Lots of Labels Framelits.
3. Layer your stamped image over the next size label cut from Black Glimmer Paper and add to the bag using Dimensionals. Tie ribbon at top after putting in your Halloween treats!

Spool Cards using the Envelope Punch Board

Came across Spool Cards on Pinterest and just had to make some.

I started with a piece of card stock that measured 3-3/4 x 11.  Fold it in half and place it on the Envelope Punch Board at the 1-3/8 mark and punch.  This mark is a bit tricky as the 1" mark is just to the left of the punching mechanism.

Flip the car over and punch again.  Do this on both sides and all four ends so your card looks like the picture.

Open the card and place it on your Stampin' Trimmer.  You will be cutting off the piece between the punched areas.

Spool3 Spool4

I cut the Etcetra Designer Series Paper to 2-7/8 x 3.  This paper is part of the Retired List Blowout Sale and it is 30% off making it only $7.67 a package.

I also used the retiring Drress Up Framelits and the Hung Up Cute Clups (hanger clip), both of these items are on sale with the Blowout Sale as well.

Lovin' the Gold!

We have a number of gold colored products and I used a bunch of them to create a wedding card for a friend. Here are the gold products I had to choose from.

I created the file folder tabs with the Envelope Punch Board and stamped the splatter image from Gorgeous Grunge in our Gold Metallic Encore Pad all over the front.  The Gold Metallic Encore Ink was coated with our Gold Stampn' Emboss Powder and heat set.

The Fringe Scissors were used on a strip of Gold Foil Sheet that was adhered to the bottom of the card.  I then added to a strip of our Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum that was placed over the same sized strip of Very Vanilla.

I trimmed the vellum with a string of our Gold Sequin Trim and the Mr. & Mrs. image was added with Stampin' Dimensionals..

Sale-a-bration - Petal Parade

This was one of the make & take projects for a workshop earlier this month. We made the envelope with the Envelope Punch Board and stamped images from the Petal Parade Sale-a-bration stamp set on it.

The card is 3x6 folded in half.  We stamped the same images on the 1-1/2" x 3" strip of Whisper White and added the fun Strawberry Slush Ruffle Stretch Trim under it.  The strip of Sahara Sand on the bottom helps the ribbon pop.

The guests had their choice of greeting from the Just Sayin' stamp set and they could cut it out with the coordinating Framelit from Word Bubble Framelits Collection.

If you order the stamps with the framelits Stampin' Up! calls it a bundle and you will save 15%!

Just Sayin' Bundles

We added a small flower with a rhinestone in the middle of the flower punched with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack for a bit more color.

February 2014 Control Freaks Blog Tour!

Freakwelcome2013 (2)

Welcome to the February 2014 Tour de Freaks Blog Hop! We are so excited to have you join us today.

This month is Mish Mash so you will see projects using lots of different Stampin' Up! productsOur tour features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers. You may have just come from the blog of the incredibly talented Julie Davison, you may be one of my blog stalkers or you may have just stumbled here…however you got here, you’ll be very glad you did!  Be sure to take the whole tour!  If you are arriving here on the 19th, please note that not all links may not be working yet.  The tour officially begins on the 20th.

My first project is a fun card with a definite retro feel.  The Geometrical Stamp Set and  Retro Fresh This & That Designer Washi Tape adds such flair to your projects!
The fun retro image from the Geometrical stamp set was stamped on a tag created with our NEW Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  I punched 1/8" holes through the two o's in the word Hooray and placed a scrap of So Saffron behind it.  Fringe Scissors are a must and they add a fun detail under the main layer.  The thin satin Tangerine Tango ribbon is from the Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button Pack and you can find it on the Clearance Rack.

Geometrical Stamp Set, Retro Fresh This and That Washi Tape, Fringe Scissors, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack, Coastal Cabana, So Saffron, Crumb Cake and Whisper White card stock, Baked Brown Sugar Ink pad.

My next project uses the Good as Gold Card Kit from the Sale-a-bration Brochure.  You can choose the Good as Gold Card Kit FREE with a $50 order through March 31st.

I cut one of the cards in half to create two mini thank you cards for my hostesses this week.  I then used the Envelope Punch Board to make coordinating envelopes for each one. The measurements for an envelope that will fit a 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 card are right on the board.

This kit comes with a sheet of greetings in various languages.  I wanted to use all the tags so I stamped images from the Photopolymer set called Another Thank You to create little banners to cover the words.

Here is a close up of the front of the card.  I used one of the gold envelope liners, included in the kit to punch small hearts and attached them to the front of each mini card and to the envelopes.  The Baker's Twine is also included in the kit so I tied a cute bow and attached it to the heart with a Glue Dot.

Another Thank You Photopolymer stamp set, Good as Gold Card Kit (choose this free with a $50 order), Paper Snips, Small Heart Punch, Envelope Punch Board, Pistachio Pudding, Coastal Cabana card stock, glue dots

That does it for me, your next stop is the blog of another talented Control Freak Stamper, Justin Krieger, I know you will love what he has to share.

Butterfly Bundle meets Polka Dot Parade

Today is the day I leave for St. George, Utah by way of Billings, Montana for the Founder's Circle Retreat.  I drive the two hours to Billings to catch my plane very early tomorrow morning.  Driving two hours isn't the highlight of my day but shopping will be. :-)  You see, living in a town of about 16,000 is great but it does have it's drawbacks.  No shopping is one of them.

Through September 30th, 2013, you can purchase the Butterfly Bundle at 15% off (Clear #135311 or Wood #135312).  The bundle includes the Papillon Potpourii stamp set and the Bitty Butterfly Punch.

Today, I have paired them with the Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper.  I am a huge fan of polka dot paper and use it alot.  This package has our basic colors so you can use it with any stamp set and for any season or holiday.

I also made a coordinating envelope for my card using the NEW Envelope Punch Board (read about it HERE).  I used the same sheet of Designer Series Paper that I used to make my card.

I made this card with a matching envelope for about $1.25.  One full sheet of the Designer Series Paper, half sheet of Tempting Turquiose, quarter sheet of Whisper White, 10" of Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and a couple of scraps.  Love it!!!

The wings of the butterfly are raised as I put one Glue Dot on the back in the middle and then pull up the wings.

I am so excited to be attending my sixth Founder's Circle Retreat next week in St. George, Utah.  I have made so many friends through Stampin' Up! and am looking forward to chattin' and relaxin' with them. :-)

My travel documents arrived last week and I love the presentation.

The large card board envelope was wrapped with a large piece of cotton lace and our yummy 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Triim Ribbon in Crisp Cantaloupe,

Inside was this folder made from our In Color Designer Series Paper Stack with our travel documents, luggage tags and other information.

I leave next Tuesday but I will schedule some projects to post while I am gone and hopefully if the internet at the hotel cooperates, I will be posting some updates from the trip.
