New Stuff!!!

I finally had a chance to play with my goodies from the new catalog.  No, I don’t have my new catalog yet but I was able to order from the preview brochure.

This is a new set called Embrace Life, it is a nice line art set.  I stamped the large flower image in Black StazOn and used my Ruby Red ink pad and a blender pen to color it in.  I added a black brad from our Vintage Brads.  I also stamped the leaves in River Rock on the River Rock card stock.  The striped paper is from the Ginger Blossom Designer Paper set, I stamped the smaller flowers on it in Ruby Red.  The greeting is a RUB ON!!!!!  Yes, that is correct, I said RUB ON, Stampin’ Up! will have a number of rub on sets in the new catalog.  You get a sheet of white and a sheet of black that, of course, coordinate with a number of our stamp sets!!!!!

I also used the rub ons on a small hexagon jar that I purchased at Specialty Bottle.  It is a size 4 which is the perfect size for a small gift of chocolate.  I used the white rub ons for this project.

I used rub ons around the bottom of the jar and for the flower on the lid.  I added some Black Grosgrain ribbon around the mouth of the jar.

Here is a close up of the lid.  I used the Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8 Circle Punch and my Coluzzle for the card stock pieces on the lid.  I used my Piercing Tool to add the holes to the scallop and then dotted the holes with my White Gel Pen.  The flower is a white rub on and I added a Real Red Brad to the center to finish it off.

This is a side view of the rub ons going all around the jar.  This was my first experience using rub ons and I thought it was pretty easy to get them onto the jar.  I filled it with red and white Reese’s Pieces…….yum yum

Here is another jar, but it doesn’t use the rub-ons.  It took me all of five minutes to make and I filled it with Mint M&M’s.

  2. I have yet to try rub ons . . . my dd uses them all the time. I may have to invest in them as they are really cute on your project!
