Welcome to the November 2012 Tour de Freaks Blog Hop! We are so excited to have you join us today.
This month we are showing off some of our Christmas Creations Our tour is nice and short and features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers. You may have just come from my good friend Dawn Olchefske's Blog, you may be one of my blog stalkers or you may have just stumbled here…however you got here, you’ll be very glad you did! Be sure to take the whole tour! Note: If you are arriving here on the 20th, please note that not all links may be working yet. The tour officially begins this month on the 21st.
Let's start out with a little something for eating. :-) I used the Petite Pocket Bigz XL Die that is 30% off right now during the Online Extravaganza.
The pocket goes together quickly and I added a belly band using one of the tags included in the Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags Pack. You get 25 tags for only $3.95, what a great deal! I stamped my greeting in Primrose Petals with one of the stamps in the More Merry Messages set which is also on sale right now for 25% off!
Wrap it with some of our adorable Sweater Trim, slip a Gift Card in with your yummy treat and you have created the perfect gift.
Supplies:
Stamps – More Merry Messages
Ink – Primrose Petals, Illuminate Glimmer pad
Paper – Real Red, Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags
Accessories: Big Shot Machine, Petite Pocket Die, Whisper White Sweater Trim
Next up is a Christmas Card from my recent Christmas Card Class. We used the gorgeous Watercolor Winter stamp set and our colors are Certainly Celery, Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler and Riding Hood Red.
The images were stamped around the sentiment from Greetings of the Season and we added a punched strip of Gumball Green to the left edge using the Scallop Trim Border Punch. The bottom edge of the main card base was embossed with one of the Delicate Designs Folders and the Big Shot and the Cherry Cobbler Scallop Dots Ribbon brings it all together.
A close up on the middle of the Pointsettia shows a bit of the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details. This glitter adhesive is so easy to use and inexpensive too, I love it!
Supplies:
Stamps – Greeting for all Seasons, Watercolor Winter
Ink – Certainly Celery, Gumball Green, Riding Hood Red, Cherry Cobbler
Paper – Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Very Vanilla
Accessories – Scallop Triim Border Punch, Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Dots Ribbon, Delicate Designs Embossing Folders, Big Shot Machine, Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details
My final project is a money holder. I have been making these every year for so long, I could do them in my sleep. They are really simple.
I cut a 6 1/2 x 9 1/2 piece of card stock and score it at 3 1/8 and 6 1/2. Fold it up, cut the shortest flap on the diagonal and add the adhesive to the widest edge. Soooo easy.
The Candlelight Christmas Designer Series Paper on the front is cut to 2 7/8 x 6 1/4 and the greeting is from Tags til' Christmas.
Supplies:
Stamps – Tags til' Chrismtas
Ink – Real Red, Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade Stampin' Write Markers
Paper – Real Red, Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade, Very Vanilla, Candlelight Christmas Designer Series Paper
Accessories – Scallop Square Punch, Scallop Squares Duo Die, Big Shot Machine, Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon, Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Stampin' Trimmer
That does it for me, your next stop is the blog of my friend LeeAnn Greff and I know you will love what she has to share.
