Freaksmain

Welcome to the November 2010 Tour de Freaks Blog Hop! We are so excited to have you join us today,  This month we are featuring Holiday Gifts and Snow Ideas made with products from Stampin' Up!.   Our tour is nice and short and features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers. You may have just come from my friend Connie Babbert's Blog or you may be one of my followers or you may have just stumbled here…however you got here, you’ll be very glad you did!  Be sure to take the whole tour! - welcome!

I had a ton of fun playing with our snowmen and snowflakes for my projects this month.  I used my favorite snow colors, Whisper White, and Marina Mist on all the projects.  Stampin' Up! has some wonderful stamp sets and Big Shot dies to help you get your creative groove on this Holiday Season!!

Four the Holidays 116921
Northern Frost Decorative Strip Die 120903
Scallop Squares Duo Bigz Die 120903
Crystal Effects 101055
Clear Rhinestone Brads 113144
Dazzling Diamonds Glitter 102023

Did you notice the icicles?  I created them by drawing lines of Crystal Effects on waxed paper and then using the tip of the bottle to drag a bit down from the initial line to create the icicles.  While they are still wet, dump our Dazzling Diamonds Glitter over them and allow them to dry.  When, they are dry, they will easily peel off the waxed paper, add a little of our Multipurpose Liquid Glue and place them on your projects.

Jollyjinglesgcholder Next up is a Gift Card Holder and we all need at least one of these this season.  There is always someone who is hard to buy for and this is the perfect gift for them. Come back in a few days and I will have a FREE tutorial on making this for you.

Jollybingobitsornamentclosed My last project for you is a Christmas Tree Ornament.  I found these little tins while cleaning and organizing last month and just knew I would make ornaments with them.  I punched a 1 3/4 Circle out of Marina Mist and stamped the snowflakes in the same color.  I then ripped some Whisper White, layered it on the circle to mimic snow, added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the edges and trimmed it to the sameJollybingobitsornamenttop  size.  The little snow people are from the Jolly Bingo Bits set and I hand cut them out and placed them in the "snow" after coloring them with my Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Markers.I punched a hole in the top of the tin with my Crop-A-Dile and added the ribbon for a hanger.  To seal the tin, I ran some Sticky Strip around the seam and covered it with some of our Marina Mist Satin Ribbon.  To prevent the "snow" (White Chunky Essentials Glitter) from falling out, I added a snowflake from the Northern Frost Strip Die with Mini Glue Dots to the top.

That's it for me, I hope you enjoyed this stop of the Control Freaks Tour.  Now it's on to the next stop.  One of my best demo buddies, Dawn Olchefske!!

  1. Love your projects and especially the ornament. Since it snows in Houston so infrequently, I only get to see snowmen in pictures. How cute your are! Don’t you just love it when you find something tucked away that inspires you!
