How fun is this!! I made an envelope out of one of our super cute Sweetheart Treat Bags. The Sweetheart Treat Bags come with twelve treat bags, twelve printed flags and twelve pre-cut pieces of Baker's Twine. These bags are only available through February 14th so get yours today.
These bags make adorable treats for Valentine's Day but you can certainly use them for other occasions like I did with this birthday note card.
Cut just enough off the top of the bag to remove the zig zag border for a clean edge. Punch half of a 1" Circle on the left side for a thumb hold.
My note card is 3-3/8" 4-5/8" and I stamped the scalloped border image from the Petal Parade in Jet Black StazOn along the bottom of the notecard.
The printed banner is included with the treat bags and I added a thinner but longer banner from Basic Black card stock for a pop. The "Birthday Hugs" greeting is from one of our latest Photopolymer sets called Countless Sayings 2.
I combined the words "birthday" and "hugs" onto one clear block and stamped it in Real Red ink onto Whisper White card stock. I punched it out with the 1-3/8" Circle Punch and added a cute bow I tied using the Baker's Twine that is included with the treat bags.
Our new Petite Petals Punch was used to create a fun accent on the thumbhold. I also added one of our Candy Dots Brad Bases and included a Candy Dot from the Brights Collection to the center. I added another Petite Petals flower to the back to cover the brad for a finished look.
