One of the first things I ordered from the new Catalog was the Petite Pocket Bigz XL Die because I wanted to use it to make Gift Card Holders. I sell alot of gift cards and I am always looking for nifty ways to package them.
I chose my colors off the Color Coach and used one of my new sets called Creative Elements. This is a wonderful set with eight different elements that can be used separately or together like I did on this project.
The flower was stamped in Versamark twice on More Mustard card stock and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder to really make it pop. I cut out two layers and attached them to the Riding Hood Red belly band with dimensionals.
The pocket is Perfect Plum and I stamped the images randomly with Perfect Plum ink.
BARB'S TIP: Did you notice how my border on the flap is curved like the edge of the flap? Here is how I did that:
I put my pocket on a piece of Grid Paper and placed my clear block on top of it. I then put my Clear Mount stamp on the block, forming it to match the curve of the pocket flap. Tadah!! How easy is this!!
The gift certificate is printed on Whisper White from my computer and I extended the backing on it to fit in the pocket and stamped the word CREATE from the same set at the end. I thought that was a fitting word for a Stampin' Up! Gift Certificate. 🙂

I am soooo copying this idea!!! 🙂
This is so clever, and gorgeous, too of course!!! You’ve just caused me to “need” this.:-)
Can you share the dimensions of the finished assembled pocket? I’m wondering what size item/card can fit inside.
